      We got ours yesterday and I'm setting the vacuum near her favorite bed, and turning it on occasionally for a few weeks to get her calmer around the noise. She hates groomer days, and this will be my first attempt at home grooming. The local favorite groomer doubled her price in 6 months

    Thanks for the review. I’m considering a similar unit and this has been very helpful. Thank you.

      So glad it was helpful! I recently loaned the unit to a client who has a med to high shedding mixed breed (maybe Husky/Lab), and they absolutely love it! My dogs don't shed, so I wasn't able to really do a true field test for that part of it until recently - and if that's what you are buying it for, then you should be very pleased! Good luck with your unit! 😊

    This is an absolutely amazing and lifesaving unit. Thank you for taking the time to create and share this review with us all. My only issue is that when I "unboxed" and used it? The clippers cut through fur literally like butter. The next use? It just seems like the blades are already getting dull. Do u ever have this situation happen whereby the blades just don't cut through the fur anymore?

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @aquilinaciamacco2410, first, let me say thank you for recognizing how helpful the unit is! I gave mine to a client with a shepherd mix that really needed the de-shedding and vacuum feature, and they love it so much that I rarely see them anymore (which was a really bad business decision on my part, but it speaks to how good the unit is, lol!) As for the blade on the clipper, it may be stuck and need oiling. We are releasing a (pretty boring) video on this subject this Friday, so please look out for that! Basically, the back plate of the clipper may be stuck and needs to be manually un-stuck. It also may need special oil (for machines and metal equipment). Remove the blade, look at the back of it, and try to loosen the back plate by moving it gently back and forth. If it is really stuck, you'll need to oil it. And If that doesn't work, the blade may need to get sharpened professionally (and that may not be easy).
      Second, to be honest, the unit is about the vacuum and brushes and how they work together to keep your shedding dog under control in a home environment. The clipper is a bonus item; I wouldn't expect too much from it (nor any formal support for it either, unfortunately). If you really need a proper clipper for pet haircuts, let me know and I will show you the way. 😊 Thank you so much for your insightful comment!

    Hi, Great Video . how do you feel this would work with a Poodle ?

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi @Poodles of Adelaide! For small touch ups (feet, face, sani), absolutely! As for full body haircuts, I could see the clipper in this set do fine for smaller and finer Poodles that need a nice short cut (the comb attachments with this set go up to .5in/13mm), but for your Standard Poodles with advanced grooming needs, you would need to go pro with some heavier juice in a bigger clipper with more standardized guide comb options. The clipper that comes with the set is wonderful for home-groomers and is more the size and power of a detail clipper (think Wahl Bravura without the variable blade), which I use all the time, but only do full haircuts with it on smaller dogs. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😍

    Thank You. This is just what I've been searching for since my grooming vacuum arrived yesterday. We have an adorable (non-shedding) 13 pound white mini schnauzer who needs a spa cut (puppy cut) every eight weeks or so. Most important part of your video is the trimmer cut with the offset. I'm assuming for a puppy cut I'll use the 1/2" offset. Question: Is it also required to use a pair of scissors for some finer work around the face, ears, paws? Thank You

    • @GinasGrooming
      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kip! The 1/2" guide comb should work great for your mini schnauzer! And yes, to give a great finish, you'll want to scissor all the "bits" (anything sticking out, around the paws, face work, etc.). If you're looking for a good scissor, let me know! Thanks for watching! 💖

      @@GinasGrooming Hi Gina, She's still several weeks until her spa day with daddy, and yes I will need a good pair of scissors. I've learned that curved are better? Also could you explain to me why I will want thinning shears? . (or send me to a video? Thank You
      Kip

      @GinasGrooming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kippywylie I absolutely love your interest in working with your pup! Ok, yes, curved shears are what most pro groomers use - they are very helpful to trim up around the paws, ears, and really any coat that is sticking out of place. Straights work fine, but curved shears (curves) work better with the natural curvature of a dog's lines. In terms of thinning shears, they are not 100% necessary - but they help blend lines and come in very handy in certain spots. We do have a video on thinning shears (admittedly not my favorite), but hope it can help! Thanks for your questions! th-cam.com/video/bCQBF24CE2o/w-d-xo.html

      @@GinasGrooming Thank You so much. Luna was a rescue found wandering the streets of Manzanillo Mexico in 2018. She was a terrible mess with every imaginable tick, mange, parasite when a rescue volunteer group found and fostered her for 6 weeks and searched for the owner family. Now she is the queen of her domain, and the core of our happiness & love. We are two retired folks in our 70s. Thank You

      Hi Jessica, thanks for your honest comment! Most anything with a motor (thus most things in Grooming) are loud (unfortunately). The long hose is designed to keep that noise as far from the pet as possible. I'll share your comment with the company that makes the product! Thanks, again, for your input! 🙏💕
