Im getting a betta soon, but I need a tank. Ive never has a fish before, so looking on amazon I found a cheap 5 1/2 gallon tank, with mixed reviews. Do I risk it and get the tank? Or do you guys know where any other cheap 5 1/2 or 6 gal tanks would be?
@@gruntspartan5003 The reviews said it was leaky, and it only the tank, no kit. I dont know what sealant i should use if i get it and it is leaky either.
don't be cheap especially in the fishkeeping hobby. treat it like a dog, get the best you can afford not the cheapest you can find. It's probably ich. And if your goldfish is hitting the glass it is certainly ich. Just add salt, and increase water temperature. Or it may be tubercles males get on there bills in breeding season. If it is tubercles no need to worry
quick note in case you need to hospitalize your fish, make sure you add your fish before you activate your heater. they do get shocked (in a feeling way, not an electric way) if they ever get any critical temperature changes.
That happened to my goldfish but it came and went away and that happened a lot I thought it was wrong but it became bigger I researched alot but I found nothing useful it was a true surviver 😭😭❤️❤️

i think its ammonia burns? test your water and the levels of ammonia should be 0 ppm, if it gets about 1 ppm, then it might be ammonia burns

It's likely a starter kit with a bad filter so probably get it it but get a better filter if the tank allows for easy modification
