Yesterwynde: This album is like an old concept album by Pink Floyd, you might take the time to listen to it from the first song all thru to the last one. After about 50 times now it grew on me up to the 5 best albums I own - and I am 64 now and have about 8000 records. For me Nightwish has evolved to those rare bands, that create art without any consideration to what anybody expected or to say it the short way: Nightwish does Nightwish things. Greetings from Germany again
Well said and what great, and rare, company they are in. I honestly rate Yesterwynde as the best album of the year and this song as the best song of 2024. I'm excited now to hear the new Auri album.
It's about people who have passed away but are seen again in the daily things we do. They are always with you in everything you see and hear. Greetings from the Netherlands.
My personal song of the year 2024. Top 3 in my NW rating. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. Much Love from Germany to you and your passionate reactions!
Many women in the public eye are not allowed to show a life lived .. someone commented about Lady GaGa that she wasn't allowed to age. Floor here is comfortable with who she is .. artist, wife and mother .. minimal makeup .. that life shown bare to use so beautiful on her face. She recorded her parts for the album only six weeks after giving birth to Lucy .. she said that it was still painful to stand but she could sing fine sitting down. The crew came to her home to do the recording .. and worked around mom having to take care of the baby. This is not a sad song but a celebration of a life well lived.
So many songs made me happy... few made me cry... this one, man...I'm crying with an honoust smile on my face. Breathtaking. Thank you for sharing, great reaction...
Tuomas wrote this after the death of his father. There is a sadness in losing someone you love, but this celebrates a life well lived. The words speak of memories living on and our interconnectedness to all of nature ("I'm in the four winds ... I am the snow on your palm"). One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
This hits straight to your soul. 🥹🤘

About the knife, reminds me of the chorus in GLS: I f you cut me, I will bleed forever", but now in a more positive way.

Lady Gaga is younger than Floor, but looks 50.
@ she sings great - never watched much of her - Floor I have followed and admired for years
Floor's face is adored by her heart and soul, that's enough...

The first listen I actually had physical tears run down my cheeks
I was pretty close I think.
What a song, what a band, what a woman 🤘

That is beautiful. I had no idea that was the inspiration. Just makes the song even more powerful.
Greetings from Finland 😍
🤗🍒🤘🏻😘 Great Job, what an amazing song huh 🎶🎼
🤘💎🔥
This is about father of Tuomas who passed away.
sad?
The music evokes a sad feeling at the beginning. But it evolved throughout the song away from that.
