    Used to be called the law of human nature! Interesting, now when people break the law of nature the main excuse used is, well, I'm only human, or I'm not a saint. This law that everyone knows is the law of God and He has written it in our hearts and minds, as He said would. AWESOME!

    If i may add it is when theology is spoken through the arts that we feel the meaning of the incarnate Son stepping into His creation... you are firing our imagination and to quote CS Lewis "For me, reason is the natural organ of truth; but imagination is the organ of meaning. Imagination, producing new metaphors or revivifying old, is not the cause of truth, but its condition."
    Your work exemplifies that statement.
    Amazing job sir... As you pour out your talent in worship, may God bless the works of your hands and may you find strength in His Joy.
    I always look forward to you videos.

    I used this video series in our high school Sunday School class. They each are only about 10 minutes and they really add to the kids' understanding of the material. Fun way to "read" the book. Only wish there were doodles for the entire book!!

    Your work is such a blessing! I read Mere Christianity years ago and really enjoyed it, but it was also not an "easy" read, as you likely realize! We decided recently to go through Mere Christianity as a book discussion in our life group. A friend shared your videos and it makes covering the book content SO much easier - and very enjoyable! It seems they would also appeal very much even to an unbeliever. Thank you!

    While learning about the background to Mere Christianity and how it started out as a series of broadcasts on the BBC during WWII, I was told that I should read it out loud (as that is how it was originally intended to be delivered). However, it was also suggested that I watch it on your TH-cam Channel CSLewisDoodle. I am so grateful for that advice -- what a great way to hear this and also watch the doodle art you have created as a supplement. I am so excited to watch the next one...and the next one...and the next one! Loved it🙂

    I've saved the 'Mere Christianity' playlist because there's so much knowledge to get from this simple breakdown of CS Lewis through this illustrations. Great knowledge to carry into 2020.

    Would love to assign Lewis's BBC Talks in my ethics class but cannot do so by regulation until they are closed captioned. Mind turning on captions and doing a bit of light editing to TH-cam's auto-captioning to clean it up, CSLewis Doodle? It might lead to many new viewers through educators who want to use these excellent videos.

    • @CSLewisDoodle
      @CSLewisDoodle  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, subtitles don't work with doodles as they cover the pictures, and defeat what I am trying to achieve. Many schools use them now without subtitles, but perhaps a printout of the chapter as a class hand out would suffice? Are you teaching in university or high school?

    The titles for these doodles could be clearer. I can’t tell if this is from mere Christianity or not. Some titles say mere Christianity and some don’t. Are they all from the book? Must I compare the titles in the book to confirm?

    • @CSLewisDoodle
      @CSLewisDoodle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul. The titles cannot be clearer as they are limited to 100 letters, so do not allow elaboration. The first and last of this series of videos (Talk 1 and 25) follow mostly the broadcast editions of the talks ('Broadcast Talks' - 1942 and 'Beyond Personality' 1944). All the other videos follow the revised version of the talks called 'Mere Christianity' (1955).
