Crazy I just did this crossing last month out of Tampa Bay just like you in a new to me boat that has not been put to the test, so I dont really trust and and finding things that need repair with each passing day. I had the clew of the mainsail break loose in the middle of the night cause previous owner had it rigged up sketchy. Good thing the passage was like a pond and it was not a big deal. Calm seas like yours, and what little wind there was, was dead nuts direct into me mostly pointed to Carrabelle. My boat is slow and was totally loaded down. Was only doing about 4 knots and took me almost 48 hours. Only covered about 88 miles a day motoring and motor sailing 24/7. It was my first time offshore. I was quite surprised at how dark it got between about 10PM and and 3AM. LOL Its SOOOO DARK. It was perfectly clear out and no moon. The stars you could see 360 down to the horizon. You could not tell if the bright stars on the horizon were a boat or a star. It was a strange sensation.
Your video skill is just fine. Sure you'll continue to get better but your videos are very interesting and watchable as they are. I love the maturity of your style. Some TH-camrs out there are too drama soaked about every little thing. Keep up the great work. Thanks for taking us with you. Looking forward to the next one. 😀
It's kinda funny because sometimes I'm thinking OMG! I hope he makes it then I have to remind myself I'm watching the video so of course he made it... If he didn't make it then there wouldn't be a video...
Thanks for another great video! Hey, you're getting along fine with the filming and editing, so just keep on doing what you do. Looking forward to the refit videos!
If that’s a 25 it’s sharp looking. I just bought a 27 in carrabelle and having a ball just getting to know her and looking forward to sailing around that area. Like your videos. Great job and please keep it up.
Don't trust your rubbed hoses. Get them all replaced. I get the idea you don't carry corks in case a hose or valve breaks.i like a CB radio and good antenna on a boat. Ship's fridges tend to be power hungry. 12 volt chest freezers are now inexpensive. I use mine on ECO mode exclusively.
