  • Solo Wild Hammock Camping in the loch lomand and Trossachs national park in Scotland using the Onewind 11 feet zippers bug net Hammock and 11 feet onewind tarp for a bushcraft camp
I hiked about 1.25 miles with my dog Lula and set up the onewind hammock and onewind tarp in a pine forest looking over a beautifull loch in the loch lomond and Trossachs national park the Queen Elezibeth forest park. After setting up I collected some fire wood started a fire and enjoyed a few pale ales before doing some bushcraft cooking over an open fire. Making a candle lantern with empty cans and enjoying the rest of the night by the fire
Wakining up in the morning to find myself being bitten all over and realising that the onewind zippered hammock is no use in Scotland as the Highland midge can get right through the mesh on the bug net

Cracking video mate, really enjoyed that. Like what you did with the gravel for your camp fire pit.
Done a fair bit of camping in the highlands and those midges can be hellish, so can understand your disappointment with the hammock net.
    Nice one 🔥
    Cheers,
    Elliott.

Awesome mate, thanks for sharing and agreed with other commenters, like what you did for your base fire using the river gravel mate.

Another great wee video Sam. I love my one wind underquilt but use it on my etrol hammock. Another American company. I've only used it once when there were no midges. So hoping I don't have the same mesh problem. Will let you know.👍👏

I'm disappointed in the hammock netting. The holes in the mesh need to be about 600 per square inch I found out. Thanks for watching Dale mate much appreciated. All the best man. Sam!!!

I've cracked a couple of ribs so I'm out for another week yet. But hoping to get out in the hammock next. You can be sure I'll be checking that bug net lol. Hope it's not the same 🤞

Was obviously a popular spot as there was plenty mess around..also camped in the official camp site up there with the fam a year or two before it was tragic with the midges we had to bail first thing in the morning 😂 unbearable when they are out in force

Such a shame about the netting on that as it looks like a good hammock. I'd be paying a visit to a seamstress to replace it.
