Those were nice, tight guy lines...... I just got the guy line tensioners from one wind yesterday, may be setting up to install on the tarp tomorrow. Super fast adjustment with them so I am excited to try them out. The tarp doors are great for privacy also so you can change or carry out secret squirrel stuff under your tarp..... I personally don't run a ridge line under my tarp, no need for it really. I run thin dyneema from the tarp ends and adjust with dutchware gear tarp wasps, super fast and easy adjustments.
Those "weird gadget" rabbit ears are just line locks, don't think I'd ever pitch a tarp without a ridge-line. Love the tarp configuration, not seen that before, totally stealing it on my DD if I can make it work, pretty sure it will. I found rain got on the very ends of my hammock because there wasn't quite enough coverage so I needed to use it diagonally, although that was with a 3m tarp, and at 12ft you've got an extra 65cm which might just be enough. Pretty sure they call that a Guyline Hitch (creative I know!), you can also use a Taut-line Hitch which is almost identical, not sure if there's any functional difference between them. Anyway, glad I'm catching up on your videos again 😁
