  • Since the Audi A7 debuted here in the states for 2012, it has sought to combine the spaciousness of a sedan, and the versatility of a hatchback, with the stylishness of a coupe. That’s a tall task for any one car; but by all accounts, it succeeded, and looked great while doing it. Well, there’s a new A7 on the streets. So, let’s find out if it can build on that success.

    Very quick and gorgeous car, but my VW Arteon 4MOTION with 268hp ran a 14.0 @ 100 mph on the drag strip (weighs almost 3900 lbs). My car doesn't have built in launch control either. Assuming we also factor in reaction times, they can run pretty much nose to nose. Given that the A7 has a dual clutch and hybrid system, it's not such a big performance difference as you would expect for the extra cost, given that my Arteon has nappa leather and ventilated massaging seats, along with a 360° camera, full LED, and all the features you can find on the A7.

    Hey! Do you think that this is a great car for someone that has like 1 year driving experience but has money to buy a powerful car?
    I heard it has a lot of sensors that help in traffic etc!
    What is your opinion?

    • @Scythra
      @Scythra 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know for sure but the AWD (quattro) and 360 camera parking assist makes this car feel more nimble then it is. So yes, anyone with 1 year driving experience can park this car, but the question remains, who wants this as a first car? I rather start with a fast hatchback and upgrade to a luxury sedan somewhere after 5 years. So you got enough driving experience for the expensive hardware your driving around.

      2012 audi a7 owner. Fantastic car. Drives like no else. Quick. Every time i walk up to it, i smile. Its so smooth. I strongly suspect most commentators here are not objective. They prefer to focus on meaningless details like fake exhaust tips or finger prints. There are more model 3's....they cost less and are faster. Thats all most care about. Me? My priorities are different, amd if you can afford the car, you can afford the maintenance. Unfortunately, in our narcissistic society ppl want nice things without the nice price tag- they posture and are entitled. They complain that its German,or find some other way to diminish Audis clear, albeit costly, prestige brand. Common people believe a badge gives you worth, and if they cant have it, they feel slighted. Naw. Buy what you like and can afford nothing more. Nothing less.
