    The first gen design has aged so well , you can look at one and easily think it's a new car. Hard to believe the a7 is turning 10 years old next year.
    The 2nd gen is nice as well but no doubt the original was sexier.

    I had this car as a loaner for a month (since Audi's techs destroyed the upper half of my A3's motor and was waiting on them to fix everything).
    I did really enjoy this car and it is a surprising handler considering how large it is. That engine definitely pulls hard and the infotainment is definitely nice to look at...
    ...THAT said, i realize this is the future, but I do miss tactile buttons. I find a lot of the features in the infotainment on the A7 to be really gimmicky (at best) and you're paying for the technology Expo more than anything. It's nice to not have to keep looking at the screen to remember where you are and what functions are open.
    And also, while it's a really competent driving car, it's just not as fun as my A3. I don't know, I just feel the A3 wants to be driven where this car is just about getting somewhere in style. So i guess it depends what you want out of your car.

      @MrAndrei4777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Lcsighte ken I don’t think you really got me. First: to answer your assumption about me not knowing cars: the problem is that we in Europe don’t have what you have and the other way. Second: I meant that you can drive cars with much more powerful engines and pay much less than I’m paying here. To give an example: for a car with 300hp you will pay 5000 euro first tax only, after around 1k a year. Third: beautiful cars we have in Europe??? Example please. I can give you example of few cars we don’t and never will have here. New sonata, accord, many ford models and not even talking about SUVs. Your consideration sir is wrong.

      @lekanogungbeni6581 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First, im Sorry if my assumptions were wrong. And i didn't mean to imply that you dont know your cars. I now understand what you meant. I however still believe Europeans have a little edge in terms of the options they can choose from. Americans have these endless list of regulations that prevent certain cars from being sold here and it will require too much to import them. I experienced this with the LandRover Defender a couple of years back. Also certain manufacturers avoid America due to unfavorable projected sales, nobody likes to lose money. Some cars we can't have: Land Rover Defender, Jaguar XF sportbrake, 2012 Saab 9-5 sportCombi, Honda civic Type R, Alpine A110, and not until 2020 do we get Audi RS6, it was off the US market for many years. This is just to mention a few. But again, looking at your perspective, it is relatively cheaper to own cars like this here in America. I guess we both cannot get everything we like. Peace my friend.

    • @MrAndrei4777
      @MrAndrei4777 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Olalekan Ogungbeni no problem. Well I know about special regulations in US but didn’t know that it causes such big limitations in customers choices. We also have problems with regulations especially because of new pollution regulations. Because laws become more complex and strict, we are experiencing more problems with Diesel engines and big engines in general. All I know is that my next car will be a PHEV. I’m not sure yet about being pushed by high gas prices in the direction of PHEV technologies or because it’s just a hype. Anyway, drive safe.

    • @oleg274
      @oleg274 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrei Pashkov regulations are different depending on the country. Not whole Europe is the same. Also, the tax depends on the CO2 emissions, not hp or engine size. Some of the newer cars have pretty low emissions considering how much HP they put in the vehicle

      C B, i respect your opinion. Lexus is from the Toyota family, but Lexus is a separate entity from Toyota products. The Toyota/Lexus brand is know for reliability over any other car brand. I didn't say anything bad about Audi actually my sister has an Audi and its pretty nice. If you own an Audi C B good for you. Keep it. 👍🏻

    Actually the first luxury/executive 5 door hatchback was the Rover 2000 (and later 3500) which debuted in 1976. These cars were sold in America, Europe, India and maybe Japan also. The production run was 10 years in UK. The Rover brand is discontinued since 2005 and now rights owned by JLR.

    Put 5k yesterday on this, and going to pick it up this Saturday... You can't understand how heavy my heart is with sorrow, knowing that Saturday is still 3 days and a few hours away... I have been binging videos of A7s since I put the hold-it payment on it... Binging does nothing make my impatience grow and grow and grow... And yet I can't help but keep feeding it... This is sooo mentally torturous... Seriously. I should have waiting when I was one day out, then again, I wouldn't haven't been able to plan with airplane ticket, and bank loan and everything else I need.
    . Damn.. Saturday needs to hurry up. I'm gonna drive 800 miles with it when I pick it up.

      Bruh. Sports cars also have noice with acceleration... It doesnt need to be a muscle car, in fact, most ppl would never buy a muscle car. Luxury MEANS Luxury, so you cant get anything you want. That in fact, includes speed and noice.....

    The entire doorcards are soft touch plastics, use your nails and you can see its soft touch in the lower panel, it's just wrapped tight and very little padding.
