I still remember seeing the VHS video of Fait Accompli for sale on the shelves at Boots in Cardiff back in 1988. I remember reading what the title "Fair Accompli" meant and thinking that was the band saying their goodbyes.
Manic Street Preachers are another band that lost a key member of the original line up yet carried on. They restarted after the disappearance of their lyricist (suspected suicide) with an album called "Everything Must Go", to emphasize it was a clean state, a new era without him.
Fait accompli is a great documentary. Mark's jungle drums joke is brilliant!
