    HOLY CRAP THANK YOU. I have now watched 5 of these videos and you are the 1st one to actually show where this is

    Would have been great if you showed complete removal of all that crap in your way... was this video an afterthought?

      Some of the work on the PT is hard to film when you’re trying to do the work and film at the same time. Due to the fact that there’s not a lot of room underneath or under the hood of a PT cruiser everything is so compacted that it’s hard to even get a camera in certain areas like the oil pressure sensor.

    Would the oil pressure switch keep the car from running. My oil light (red dot)come on and flashes Sometimes it starts then quickly stalls. Other times the starter titns over but the car doesn't start with oil light flashing. And there is a oil puddle under the motor. Thanks for the video.

      You may have a bad oil leak and have very low oil pressure which will keep the vehicle from starting.

    Whe. You take the manifold off it can cause leaks later. You can rea h without removing the manifold just harder to reach

    • @StansAuto83

      You can change it without removing the manifold. Just reach down from the drivers side. But if you remove the manifold put on a new gasket.

    Is the harness green or black? I haven't seen any green connectors around the area.

    After replacing the oil pressure sensor, will I have to reset the ECU or will the oil light turn off automatically?

    • @StansAuto83
      @StansAuto83  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ArtDaBarber619 just take the negative battery cable off. When you replace it.

      ArtDaBarber619 make sure you thread on Teflon tape the opposite way that it actually screws into the block

    • @ArtDaBarber619
      @ArtDaBarber619 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DODGE NEON RACING LLC. There is a white coating on the threads. Will I have to also apply Teflon tape?

    05 PT Cruiser -14 outside ran the day before cranks but won't start. Now has oil sensor light flashing. Any ideas ?

    • @StansAuto83
      @StansAuto83  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is the oil level? Also the oil pump could be bad or clogged. When was the last oil change?

    • @robinlawson1077
      @robinlawson1077 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oil is full been a yeear

    • @StansAuto83
      @StansAuto83  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      robin lawson well then if it’s been a year since the last it may have gotten to thick and the pump can’t pull it. PT should have there oil change every 3,000 miles. A year is way to long.

    Could you fix it with flex tape?

    • @StansAuto83
      @StansAuto83  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never heard of anyone using flex tape. I don’t know the heat property of the tape. Normally Teflon tape is used and can be gotten from any Napa store and most auto parts store.

    I had a heck of a time getting the connector retaining clip and connector off of my '04 from underneath as so many videos show, mostly because of the (transmission?) cooler in the way. But to get the sender out of the block and put everything back together I worked strictly from the top and didn't have to move anything, wish I had known. As you'll be working blind just be sure not to remove the oxygen sensor which lives a couple inches above the OP sender.

    With the 2008 non-turbo, auto trans PT the sensor is accessed from above. Remove the intake hose (two clamps), the entire air filter box and the battery. Remove the two bolts that hold the fuse box in place and slide the box forward. This will provide plenty of access to the sensor, which is hidden from view. Clean the area thoroughly with brake cleaner and a rag before removing the sensor. Clean the sensor’s electrical connector before reconnecting it.

    Please use a diagram to show where this part is located. Your cam tries to show it but it can't be seen.

      Ok I will make a fast video on this. And yes it is difficult to get on video. Thanks for the comment.

      Thanks for your reply, DNR Dan. I think you did briefly mentioned on your video that this sensor, for this type of car, was "Behind the block" and that was it (if i'm wrong i apologize). Behind the block said word of mouth is fine, but a picture or saying that the sensor is next to what specific parts would work wonders.

      Ya I would have a video up today but it rained cats and dogs so I try again tomorrow
