    This man protected himself and Megan. Not once did he say anything bad about her and he gets major kudos. He doesn’t come off (doesn’t mean he isn’t) broken and hurt, but, he handled this interview very well

      I have been following him for a while if you can get Wendy Williams to say "You seem like a very nice man" a woman who would consistently seek out the negativity in everything, you know you are representing yourself very well. It seems so easy to fall in love with him lol aaaaww. His biggest flaw is that he is very hard on himself how cute.

    It So refreshing to see a Smart, Accomplished, Black man of faith. This is a standard. Thank you for keeping your integrity during the messy questions and comments.

      @audreyjohnson1019 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      While I agree with your comment about Devon Franklin being an accomplished Black man of faith, I don't think the interview questions were "messy." In my opinion, he was prepared for the personal relationship questions and, on some level, expected to have to deal with them or others similar in nature. After all, it is the Breakfast Club, and it's totally in sinc with what they're known for doing. However, I think we surely would have witnessed "messy" if Jess had been the co-host. Instead, Claudia kept it clean and intellectual, adding substance to the discussion. I agree that Devon handled himself well and I think it was attributable to the fact that he's prepared and expects that line of questioning while his divorce is still relatively new and hasn't been publicly addressed in depth. It was one of the best interviews I've seen on the show, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I especially liked his comments about being single and having to love yourself and not expect someone else to be responsible for your happiness. I can't wait until he finishes his book on that topic. Have a great day and please don't be offended by my comments. They are not made with a mean or negative spirit/intention.

    Devon, as a Mexican American with immigrant parents, thank you for taking a chance on an inspirational story from our community and sharing it with the world. Like most, I was not familiar with the story behind Flamin’ Hot and I’m so happy that Mr. Montañez is being recognized in this way. The perfect example of how hard working our community is. I watched the movie, it’s SO well done and glad to see it was Produced and Directed by black/brown minorities. May God continue to bless you! Thank you! ❤🇲🇽

    I usually don’t comment but this was my favorite interviews from the breakfast club to date. I can really see Devon’s growth in his humility and openness, his willingness to share and be vulnerable and share so openly while also remaining discrete was so admirable. I can tell he has been deep in his healing journey and I pray he continues on it and wish nothing but the best for him. ❤

    • @tjaspire
      @tjaspire ปีที่แล้ว

      What tough questions? They didn't even ask him what was the reason for the divorce, which is the main question that everyone wants to know, especially since they paraded their courtship and relationship in front of everyone and wrote a book about it. He probably told them beforehand not to ask that question. He just tiptoed around the subject. If they are still on good terms, then why aren't they together? It makes no sense to still regularly communicate with an ex that you had no children with.

      He is very well-spoken, but this interview avoided the tough questions, like "what was the real reason for the divorce," and "why are you still regularly communicating with an ex that you had no children with?" If they are still on good terms, then why not still be together? It's just not adding up. They showboated their courtship in our faces by doing press tours and writing a relationship book, but there is no explanation when it comes to the reason why it didn't work out.

      Devon I agree with you when you said that it’s very weird when you divorce/ a loved one dies and your in a place that of I don’t know how to feel without the every day living with the person and now you have to deal/learn with the absence of the person/child is very similar to a death (spiritual amputation). You go through a hurt that you cannot articulate…. You go through a mourning period of the past, present and future of the person, I get it!! 😢…. Glad you are growing through it!!!

She does not bask in her celebrity she is just a real person, relax, confident and calm. I think she will be a fabulous, fabulous addition to this team. I think she balances them out really really well. There's no shade towards Jess.... If I had to pick between the two I sure would pick. Claudia❤

      It’s hurts to agree bc I’ve been Team Jess (she got the hometown advantage as well) but Claudia makes it hard for me to stick to that choice. I think a team works when they all have different personalities to trade off and I think Jess can fit into the “one of the boys” role a lot. I love her tho. But Claudia…. That’s a strong contender.

    Devon is the kind of black man other (some) black men call a simp. Cos apparently in the African American community if you are well mannered,don't throw around the F & B words, are articulate,smart,intelligent & aren't embarrassed about your faith then you are not seen as cool/muscaline or whatever words they use. I am sure there are many more black men like him who are not in the entertainment business.
    Kudos to them.

    This interview made me think y’all should hire both Claudia and Jess, they should work on different days or something. It’ll help reach a wider audience. Claudia asked great questions during this interview, and her commentary and vibe was great. And really great interviewee Devon Franklin.

    Grief is a deeply personal and unique experience, and people cope with it different. When I went through over 7 deaths in a year and lost a sibling I wanted silence more than a lot of communication and I took myself from those who had a lot of noise. Losing a loved one is an incredibly difficult and painful experience, and everyone handles it in their own way. Some people may choose to withdraw and take time for themselves to process their emotions, while others may seek support from friends and family.

    Yea I have been learning and working on not beating myself up because the world has pushed ideas on me thru music, social media, and entertainment and none of that shit matters! What matters is only what matters to me!

    Such a kool dude!!! I enjoyed this interview bckz he is so humble, transparent and respectful. There’s something about a Black Man that’s Confident enough to speak with pride over who he is and what he knows, yet humble enough to always be willing to be corrected, learn from others and admit his personal areas that have possible room for improvement. I strive to prepare myself to fully be ready for a Man with these qualities… honestly I’m not there yet but this is a great interview!🫶🏾
