D-Wade was one of the reasons I started watching Basketball. Jordan was great, but I loved watching Dwade in my home city of Miami. He is still my favorite player of all time.
8 points in a finals game. Up until Game 6, LeBron had scored just 11 points total in the 4th quarters of the Finals for an average of 2.2 points per game in that quarter. In the previous three rounds of the playoffs, that average had been 7.6 I would say thats a choke !!!
This has to be hands down the best interview I've seen with DWade, and I've seen plenty interviews he's done where my thirst wasn't quite quenched. He was open, personable, introspective, engaging, thought-provoking, and so-on and so-on. He tackled subjects in a way that I though he would hold back on. If I don't see another DWade interview, I am truly happy with this one. Shannon did a great job of asking great questions in his own way at the right moment. Although there were times when I wanted Shannon to kind of back off when he's asked the question and not answer the question for DWade, but he did a great job overall of navigating the interview and allowing D to feel safe in that space when answering. I was watching a GROWN MAN answer those questions like a grown man should (and he looked FINE asl doing it... but I digress). Thank you DWade for your honesty and openness. I will definitely watch this episode a few more times before I've had enough. ♥♥♥
It was great until the part of his son. Sooner or later they’ll both realize the horrendous mistake they’ve made by letting him do that to himself and why? Because of the evil woman who approves of this because that’s what Hollywood does. Take notes gentleman, the wrong woman can ruin your entire life. I must say that Dwayne Wade got another level of respect posted on his name after this interview. This man has answered every question posed to him with class and an intellect that most do not or ever had. The way in delivered his responses on every topic is just awe inspiring, the one that he handled best to me was with Ja Morant. Could not have responded better. D-Wade is truly an intelligent man, and you can see that in his level of success during and even more so after his playing career. Love and Respect this man just that much more now.
@@kamakazitv574 No you must have forgot he was born that way. It was destined and preordained. It had nothing to do with environment or social media influence nor was it fostered and nurtured in any way.
Respect to DWade for telling how he really felt when Bron left Miami. I always thought Bron did him dirty not telling him he was leaving sooner and costing that man MILLIONS by opting out of his contract. Glad their relationship made it through that moment
Dwade is one of if not the most underrated nba player of all time. He is the reason I fell in love with the game. Has always been a good dude on and off the court. This man is genuinely a role model. I’m super grateful to be able to follow his career.
D Wade was an absolute monster in his prime. Imposible to guard. Dude averaged 30 points per game in 2009 while only making one 3pter per game. He was relentless with his drives inside the paint.
A competitive athlete will always have confidence in himself, but D-Wade is lowkey right. He’s around top 25-30 in most fans & media’s eyes, but if he didn’t have so many injuries, he was on his way to top 15 range due to his early success. D-Wade’s first 8 years: - NBA Champion - Finals MVP - Scoring Title - 7x Allstar - Allstar Game MVP - 6x All NBA Team - 3x All Defensive Team - Top 3 in MVP & DPOY in ‘08 - Gold Medal in Olympics leading team in scoring - averages: 25ppg 49%fg 6apg 5apg D-Wade’s first 8 years are very comparable to Kobe’s first 8 years. Unfortunately, it was a shorter peak than he would’ve liked. Year 9 & on, he started to decline & injuries were a big part of that. But, he still had a good sidekick star performance for his 2nd ring (22 6 5) & a solid role player performance with timely big games for his 3rd ring thanks to LeBron.
@@jaliancasey5409 great summary minus the solid role player lol for his third title he was still the second best player on the team when they beat the spurs
@@Imzz06 Bosh and Allen were better than him against the Bucks in round one. Bosh was also better against the Bulls in round two. He was only the legit 2nd option for the ECF and Finals that year and he did his part then.
Hmmmm…. Does he ask him about why d wade let his teenage son become a girl??? Just curious 🧐 🥵🥵 As a father having 2 boys makes sick and disgusted that a father would allow such horrifying acts!!!! He’s a coward and deserves to be cancelled!!!!! 🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥
I enjoyed this interview. Dwyane Wade had more drinks than any other guest😅. I learned a lot about his daughter's journey and how it all began . He and his wife journey and relationship all about his career. Much respect for him and his family.
I think the saddest thing is..D-Wade wasn’t use to all that praise he was getting from Shannon. Let that sink in. I was happy to see this energy from him. This is our Dwade and Shannon thank you for bringing him back!
D-Wade is a smart dude, and he’s very self-aware. He also tows the line of confident and humble really well. That’s not even talking about how great of a player he was.
DWade is such an amazing human. He has accomplished so much coming from his beginnings in Chicago to where he is now. He is intelligent, intellectual, wise and humble. I'm proud of him and all he has accomplished. I like how he said it's not his place to tell Ja Morant anything but I really hope that Ja sees this and maybe reaches out to DWade or another vet player for some guidance because Ja has the opportunity to be a great just like Wade, LeBron, Kobe etc.
I had to watch this interview twice because I so enjoyed D-Wades honest heart❣He doesn't have to think about his answers! He's just honest! (AND I LOVE THE COMMERCIALS WITH HIS WIFE!)❤
I remember watching this man in person in college. We played in the same conference. I’m a woman. But he was soooo athletic it was unreal. And when he was drafted people would say he went too high. I just used tell them, just wait. You’ll see what I know. He didn’t disappoint. Congratulations on the Hall of Fame. I won’t say I knew he would do it. But I knew it was possible.
i like his honesty. and the difficult questions and answers. no topic off limits. so we can learn from d wade, the spotlight, the fact he is not perfect, like no one is but being the best dad he can be.
Great interview, loved how Shannon was able to ask all of the tough questions, that of course everyone wanted to ask. Love D Wade answers, how he owned up to everything. I was very impressed about his take on Lebron. Like everyone else I am watching his journey through the eyes of a fan, but to think about the mindset he has to have in order to rise above it all.
Dwyane Wade Is One Of The Great Representations We Have In Our Community. Much Respect, Love & Support To All He Has Done, And All That He Is Doing...Shannon You Have Done It Again. Tremendous Guest & Interview.
Shannon is a natural when it comes to interviewing. He isn't about the gotcha questions or trying to trip you up and embarrasing you. He does ask the questions we want to know, but respectfully so and judgement free. This is a great show and I love a host that has integrity and void of tabloid drama.
What a great podcast 👏🏽. I know everybody can't relate, but what he said about fatherhood and taking charge of a household. He is going opening up and saying facts!
Uncle Shay did another masterpiece of an interview with one of my favorite human beings out there. D Wade is a legend as a player and is also a legend in his approach to his family and some of the most complicated topics of living in a modern society. It was a real gem of an interview. Very honest, humble, real-life and true. Hat’s off to both of these men for that.
I love this dude and still loves this dude. Gabrielle you're the Greatest, I don't care what anyone says about you negative. I'm glad yall are trying to get through it in the best positive way. Praying for your family.
D Wade was a magical player. The rare ability to completely take over. However, I do remember him trying to take over late in a couple vital playoff losses where Shaq was the better option. He also has a tinge of false modesty but was one of the best players of his generation so maybe that comes with the accomplishments. Great interview.
Man if it wasn't for his injuries in 2005 and in 2007, he could have easily won three straight titles. Wade was impossible to guard in his prime. Just wish he would've developed a more consistent jump shot
What's your favorite memory of The Flash? ⚡

D-Wade is truly an intelligent man, and you can see that in his level of success during and even more so after his playing career. Love and Respect this man just that much more now.
He’s such a good person then why did D. Wade let his teenage son become a girl!!!?! This dude is disgrace to any father . 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
@@kamakazitv574 No you must have forgot he was born that way. It was destined and preordained. It had nothing to do with environment or social media influence nor was it fostered and nurtured in any way.
You must not have any independent outspoken children if you honesty think that you can control any person in that manner@@kamakazitv574

Who has under rated him?
This is why I love this podcast. Shannon is the best interviewer in the game.
D Wade was an absolute monster in his prime. Imposible to guard. Dude averaged 30 points per game in 2009 while only making one 3pter per game. He was relentless with his drives inside the paint.
He also got every call in the Dallas series. I stopped watching the NBA because of the officiating in that series.
@@steveh.3370cause he drove relentlessly and mavs couldn't stop him fouling him. get out your feelings
A competitive athlete will always have confidence in himself, but D-Wade is lowkey right. He’s around top 25-30 in most fans & media’s eyes, but if he didn’t have so many injuries, he was on his way to top 15 range due to his early success.
D-Wade’s first 8 years:
- NBA Champion
- Finals MVP
- Scoring Title
- 7x Allstar
- Allstar Game MVP
- 6x All NBA Team
- 3x All Defensive Team
- Top 3 in MVP & DPOY in ‘08
- Gold Medal in Olympics leading team in scoring
- averages: 25ppg 49%fg 6apg 5apg
D-Wade’s first 8 years are very comparable to Kobe’s first 8 years.
Great way to sum up his career 💯
I love Barkley but he is better than Barkley and Barkley is top 15. 25-30 is underrating D Wade.
@@Imzz06 Solid Role Player?? DWade wasn't no sidekick or Role Player. He was apart of the big 3. Smh
I've loved Dwayne and his personality for 20 years. He's the best team player and least egoistic top athlete. He really deserves people's respect. 😊
I love all of his interviews! He asked every single guest all the questions Ive always wondered lolll I love when people do their research well 👏🏾
Hmmmm…. Does he ask him about why d wade let his teenage son become a girl??? Just curious 🧐 🥵🥵
As a father having 2 boys makes sick and disgusted that a father would allow such horrifying acts!!!! He’s a coward and deserves to be cancelled!!!!!
🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥
@@kamakazitv574 thats your opinion, it has nothing to do with me

I enjoyed this interview. Dwyane Wade had more drinks than any other guest😅. I learned a lot about his daughter's journey and how it all began . He and his wife journey and relationship all about his career. Much respect for him and his family.
What a great conversation! Kudos DWade and Shannon! A pleasure to see our best on front street!
I think the saddest thing is..D-Wade wasn’t use to all that praise he was getting from Shannon. Let that sink in.
I was happy to see this energy from him. This is our Dwade and Shannon thank you for bringing him back!
Yes my favorite player of all time Wade is as humble a superstar as there is.
That's called being humble homie. Nothing sad about a virtuous trait. Only thing sad is that you can't spot it
MAN!! this was such mature conversation from two living legends !!💯💯💯💯✍👂⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🏀🏈
This is my favorite interview of them all. Dwayne Wade is being so open and transparent and at the same time Unc is asking all the right questions.
Everything they talked about was pure truth and wisdom. These young guys can learn from this.💯💪🏾
Shannon is a boss at asking questions. He keeps you interested.
Does he ask D. Wade about why let his teenage son become a girl!?? What kind of a man does that? That’s what he should’ve asked!!!🥵🥵🥵🥵
@@kamakazitv574yes he did ask him. Did you hear his answer? Did you comprehend his answer, and he’s still a man and a father.
Mad respect to this man. Great lessons to be learned from his life experiences
A young DWade was different. Crazy explosive. Never seen nobody else penetrate to the rim Like he did. He was quick with it.
Pause 😂😂
they called me DWade in college the way I'm quick while penetrating
@OLIVER Tchum he didn't pause not once on it 😂

As a female that doesn’t watch regularly or keep of with sports this interview was very informative and outright dope asf!!!
Man I love what wade stands for. Keep up the great work being an amazing dad
D-Wade is a smart dude, and he’s very self-aware. He also tows the line of confident and humble really well. That’s not even talking about how great of a player he was.
I’ve always been a fan of D Wade’s, but after this interview I’m an even bigger fan! Stand up man.
One of the best interviews I’ve ever listened to, pure, patient, honest and humble❤….
Go Go Go! Great job Shannon Sharpe on your Media Accomplishments!!!!!
Great job sir love the video 👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
He really knew how to penetrate the D man he was one of the best to do it.
This right here is why I love D Wade! So much class and wisdom on display!
Been following D wade since he dropped a triple double in the march madness tournament. Watching him grow as a player and father …. Man… INCREDIBLE 🙌🏼
D wade n bron are the cornerstone of my childhood. GOAT FRR💯
03 was a great year
This interview made me love him a million times more!!! Thank you sharp for this!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Fr that’s why it’s not good to be quick to judge some of these guys good asl
i like his honesty. and the difficult questions and answers. no topic off limits. so we can learn from d wade, the spotlight, the fact he is not perfect, like no one is but being the best dad he can be.
Dwayne Wade is a real cool guy who keeps it real and tells it just the way it is. Great Guy my man.
I enjoy listening to D Wade and he was fabulous calling the games in the Paris Olympics for US basketball.
FINALLY!!!! After we lost the Sonics in Seattle I had to look for a new team. D wade is the reason I chose Miami and have been a heat fan ever since.
Born and raise in Miami, the whole city was electrified bc of him
Glad to have u, still say his 06 run was one of the best single performances. 40 plus got the glove n j will rings.

To be fair Shaq told D wade to take over and deferred a lot to him. Something he learned from being too selfish with Kobe by his own admission.
@@emilioortega8881 that team was too old in 2007 wade was carrying them
Wade is one of my favorite players to watch and to listen to. Very level-headed guy and always insightful.
This dude is in tremendous shape and he looks like he could step on the court today.
I LOVE hearing a good positive interview this was most definitely a LIFE CHANGING interview for me ❤
Phenomenal insight from Dwade about the importance of being a good father and supporting his children
