Thank you for introducing me to Black Sycamore Yarn. What beautiful colorways she has. Mandy's Magenta is a winner.

I love the sounds that the birds make, it is very peaceful. We turn on cat tv for the cats and the sounds are relaxing. Thank you so much for your kind words 🙂

Enjoyed your podcast, as always you share some great patterns and was lovely to see a crochet pattern.

Hi Beth, thank you so much! Stephanie did an amazing job dyeing it and I can’t wait to start knitting with it 🙂. I hope you have an awesome week!

Yes, I hear the birds and really enjoy that. I call any garment made for the upper body with armholes (I.e., not shawls or ponchos), that are knit or crocheted, sweaters. To me tops are other fabrics.

The birds are great this year, we still have a male and female cardinal that we see all the time. I think they live nearby and the "peep" sound that they make is so cute 🙂. I like your definition of tops, Stephanie. It makes sense that they'd be other fabrics as opposed to knitting.

I call a short sleeved sweater a tee. Band don’t apologize for the birds.

I agree with you about the short sleeves, I think those are what makes a tee 🙂. The birds have been so great lately, we have a bird feeder outside of our window and it's just wonderful to watch.

I’m not Webster, but to me, a sweater is any knit top with sleeves - a cardigan, a pullover, a tee.
I do not remember seeing that Dunedrifter pattern, either. They’ve released more patterns than I realized - what a nice surprise!

Wool and Pine has done many more patterns than I realized as well. They’re releasing a new color work garment soon, so I have been keeping my eyes open for it 🙂

I'm sorry that your test knit is too big, Mandy. Hopefully, it will fit your mom, so you don't have to frog it. I consider a sweater to be a long-sleeve winter knitted top. I consider everything else just to be tops. I ended up giving up on You Like It Darker -- but only because after putting my library holds on pause while I was on vacation they all came in at once and I just had too many books to read all at once! Hopefully, I'll get back to it soon.

I know how you feel with having too many books at once, I am struggling with the same at the moment. I returned Sleeping Beauties because I felt like I wasn't giving it the attention it deserves. I will try again later 🙂. I hope that you guys have an awesome week!

I was thinking you could re knit the sleeves smaller on your basket weave sweater, so you don't have to frog it or give it away.
I call warmer wear knits tops, tees, and tanks, and sweaters are for sweater weather.

I’m going to try with the sleeves and see, I just don’t know how it’ll go because the sleeve holes are pretty big. Decreases in pattern will be tough. I might get away with picking up less stitches. I definitely call warmer knits tops. Sweaters are definitely for sweater weather 🙂

@@mandyvaughnknits I'm wondering since it's a set-in sleeve if you could get away with picking up the amount of sleeve stitches you need and then sewing up the gap along the side seam under the arm? It seems like that could work.

This definitely seems like it could work. If I made the sleeves fitted, it would fit just like a boxy 🙂. Thank you, this is what I’m trying when I’m done with the blue one ❤️
