Hey guys! I uploaded this video yesterday but then TH-cam went down. I thought it was just my video, so I deleted it. Of course as soon as I deleted it TH-cam was back up. 💗😂 Thanks for watching and I’ll chat with you guys in the comments once I get home!
Andréa Matillano I was so excited when I saw this video was posted! TH-cam stopped working right when I wanted to watch your video. Haha. Thank you for uploading it again! Definitely worth the wait! :)
Relieved! I'm not going crazy. Nothing on TH-cam was working at one point on my laptop and I thought the video player tech was broken. Good that you informed me, I was freaking out a bit yesterday.
I knew I wasn't tripping 😅😅😅 but maybe try out the NYX foundation mixers. A lot of people seem to love tjosr, plus it's bigger than the Catrice drops. As far as the brow definer, it depends on what type of brow you want. If you want a more feathery brow, the skinny brow pencils are your best friend. But if you want some thicker , darker brows, then the chubbier angled pencils are good for that. Personally I love both!!
So glad ppl aren’t coming for you in the comments. You explained very well why the palette isn’t for you and have the right to your opinion. I really like the way you do reviews and explain why u like a product or don’t. It’s giving honest feedback without being negative which is refreshing.
This is what I think a “negative” review of the Emily palette should look like. You were gentle and complimentary and honest. Not everyone is going to like the same products. I love the palette and haven’t had any issues with it being patchy. In fact the more pigmented palettes are way more difficult for me to create the looks I like to do. But I appreciate your viewpoint and the respectful way you presented the information. Thank you!
The difference between you and those who got backlash for giving a negative review of Emily's palettes (we all know who we're talking about) is that you went into it from a very objective stance, you gave it time and a lot of thought and you spoke eloquently - you gave a critique, not criticism. It was a joy to listen to such a well thought through review ❤️
Jo Bo I was hoping someone could explain that. There are many other smaller youtubers who gave a negative review on Emily's palettes and they all did it before "you know who" did the controversial review but they didn't get backlash because they also did the review just as well as Andrea did here. And most of those negative reviews were focused on the product itself. Btw, I saw the palettes at my ulta, swatched them and decided it wasn't for me either. I did enjoy all the love Emily got for her first collab. ❤️✌🏽
Thanks so much for your honesty and thorough review. I absolutely love the emily edit palettes but I don’t mind building them up. It totally makes sense why it wouldn’t be for you. I respect your honesty and also the gentle delivery, no one can fault you for that.
It seems that people who like to build up their shadows are a fan of the palette, and people who want intense pigment right away aren’t huge fans. It makes sense why the reviews are so divided!
April Nicely said. I think "gentle delivery" is a wonderful way of describing how Andrea reviews products that didn't work for her. I'll have to borrow that phrase for teaching how to give feedback in Toastmasters (we evaluate everything!). We want to help members improve but our many mission statements emphasize being supportive and building confidence.
And this is how you respectfully share your opinion on a collab. I have no problem with people disliking the Emily palettes, I love her but we all have our preferences, you explained yours very well. I have a problem when people are negative towards the brand right from the start, don't put as much effort into the application as they normally would and only do a first impression with no update. I really appreciate the fact that you thoroughly put it to the test before coming here and sharing your opinion. Class act !
I love how thorough you were about Emily’s palette. I absolutely love it, but that’s because I love color and shimmer but I don’t work in an office where I can have super bold looks, so MR shadows are actually perfect for my needs! I’ve actually bought a few more of their palettes since Emily’s because the formula works so well for me. I really appreciate that you were so fair and up front about how you prefer your shadows to work, and showing how this palette didn’t work for you. Great review/haul update.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the palette! I loved hearing from you and I am so glad to hear that it works well for you. The colors are so pretty!
Sarah Walden That's the same reason I like the palette. You can use colors but control the intensity. Some palettes I have to be so gentle with and even tap the brush on a tissue. Corduroy and Family are favorites because they are true to color and don't look black. They're good as a base when I want a shade from palettes such as Too Faced Then and Now to be the star.
Honestly Andrea, your review of the palette is fine! You were honest and FAIR. that’s the point. You didn’t come after Emily for the brand she chose to collaborate with. That’s what people got upset about. Other youtubers felt the need to shade the brand. Drama has then ensued because this youtuber claimed to be anti bullying then targeted a response. You’re not one that’s going to cater into that bs and I appreciate it. All of you guys I am subscribed to because of Emily. Love you honey. Thanks for being honest!
Thanks for always being honest! Not everyone can love one product and everyone has a right to their own opinion. I don’t get how some people can be so mean over makeup 🤷♀️
Me too! I love Emily's palette. I enjoy taking my time and building up the shades and to me there were not patchy at all. MUR has a great formulation have you tried the SophX or SophX Extra spice by MUR they are great!
This is a perfect example of why I love reviews like this, that are thorough and specific. Often someone reviews a product ‘negatively’ because it didn’t work for them. But the reason it didn’t work for them makes it perfect for someone else. I like softly pigmented shadows too so when someone reviews something and says ‘it’s great, it’s really pigmented’ I decide not to buy it and vice versa.
Thank you for your honesty like you said some people like pigmented shadows, some don’t, me personally like more the subtle look like Emily’s. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and respect that but is not what you say...is the way you say it, you for example reviewed her pallet in such a respectful and professional way without making faces or smart comments, and I know you were very honest about it but at same time not offensive to Emily and her followers and that’s the way it should be done. I love Emily as well and I have both pallets, I love them and they work for me wonderful because of the office work I have and also a more mature skin, and for me less is more 😊 but thanks you are very sweet girl and I love your videos and reviews. You’re what I call a very professional person. ❤️
I think you are very trustworthy..I enjoy my Emily edit palette but I absolutely understand where you are coming from you are also very respectful and kind . ♡
Love your eyes! Purple looks amazing on you! I respect your honest opinions on any products. The difference between your review of Emily’s palette and some others is you really tried it and it just didn’t work for you. You did a honest review and you were very respectful. The palette works great for me and I love it but I also like to build my shadows up. This is why I love your channel, I always know I’m getting a honest review!
Thank you for having courage and integrity and giving your honest opinion re the Wants palette. Personally, I really enjoy it because I do go for more subtle eye looks, particularly when it comes to colors (as opposed to neutrals). Having so many beautiful colors in one palette allows me to start with a more typical look for me from my other palettes and then build in some color in just about any color family that I want. Your grocery store look is my full on glam! I haven’t used enough colors in the palette yet to notice inconsistencies, but the Wants is providing me with exactly what I hoped it would - tons of options for having fun with color in a way that isn’t too much for my personal style (and for where I live, where the no makeup look is literally no makeup). Anyway, I think you managed to be both honest and respectful and to keep an open mind about why this palette might work for other people, and I applaud you for that!
I'm okay with the Emily palette needing work to build up and blend. For me, it's easier to build slowly than try to work with too much pigment at once, especially mattes. I have several Makeup Revolution palettes and have had good luck with all of them.
I totally agree, I think shades with too much pigment can become a mess very very quickly for me, but I am not an expert with eyeshadow either. To me the Emily Wants palette is so perfect, I like building up the shades especially matte shades and the shimmer shades come out beautiful with your finger or fix plus on the brush. Just watch Emily's many videos about this palette, she has created so many beautiful pigmented looks with the darker shades and she is a very experienced makeup artist. I also saw Kiki's review and Kathleen Lights review and there were both able to create very beautiful pigmented looks as well. Its all about preference. As far as MUR eyeshadow formula; Soph has two palettes with them that are highly pigmented SophX and Extra Spice.
Plz make a video on best small sized eyeshadow palletes. I dont like using a big pallete and i never reach fr them.i like a small compact pallete tht is so easy and convenient. I am also of same brown neutral eye shadows.plz gv me some suggestions
I would love to film a video like that, thanks for the suggestion! Dose of Colors has some nice 5 pan palettes. Their shadows are pretty powdery, but they do blend nicely on the eyes.
I appreciate that you spoke your mind about the Emily palette. I broke my heart to see the backlash Tati got. But that's why I toon in I want honest people to tell it to me straight. So you are right up there in my mind with Tati for speaking the truth. Thanks! 😘
Thank you for your kind comment support Sarah! I was thinking about not sharing my thoughts but I did want to share my honest experience in case it could help someone else. So again thanks for your kind words!
I'm so glad andrea mentioned the emily palette, and it just goes to show that what Tati was saying wasn't wrong. I'm just happy that andrea isn't getting the same kind of negativity that tati got for speaking the truth.
Tati started that video by saying she did not like makeup revolution. Then she did a type of look she never does. And added matte shades with her fingers... i think well the issue i had with Tati was how she delivered her review not that she was not happy with the palette.
I can see how you wouldn't like it as well because you like super pigmented shadows. I love it because it is easy to build and very blendable. I haven't had a problem with any of the shadows that I've used. I don't think anyone can fault your opinion because it was delivered with class. I realize that different things work for different people.
One of the many reasons why I respect and find myself constantly coming to watch your videos is your honesty & tact. You understand and review items fairly, and respectfully. Great job on these updates & review on the emily wants palette. I actually really loved the looks I created with my wants palette, but like all beauty products its personal and wont work for everyone! Great job Andrea!
Two For Joy Spirit Honestly is Honestly! How you interpret it is depends on you. It’s kinda unfair to compare first impression and thought out review☺️
You’ve always been one of my fav TH-camrs and I’m so so glad you’re honest about products especially after talking about Emily’s palette even though Tati got so much nonsense for it. You’re da best!
You are such a diamond in the rough. So kind and thoughtful, yet honest and true to yourself. You are beautiful inside and out! We need more creators like you! This eye look is everything I’ve ever wanted in a peel Smokey eye!
With the emily palette i feel like its really good for people that do not want the shadow to pack a punch the second u lay it on your eyelid. And its also great for people that do not have too much experience with eyshadow
Hi Andrea, as I’ve written several times before I really enjoy your videos. However, I do wish you would do more GRWM tutorials as I enjoy the techniques you use, learn from them, but even more I love the results you achieve. I love Emily Noel too but I appreciate your constructive criticism on that pallet (and agree) more than I did the way Tati delivered hers which made her come across as a spot-light-hogger. Other than naming the shadows, I’m guessing Emily probably didn’t have much to do with quality control. MR for the most part delivers, this one was a hiccup. Regardless, so happy for her. Love you both.🌷Give me another GRWM soon!
Love this video! I love the Emily palettes, I love The Needs more than The Wants, but both have worked. However, I totally get why it didn't work for you. The shadows are tricky!
I reeeallly appreciate your honesty and the way you explained everything and why you didn’t like it. You actually worked with the it before saying if you liked it or not. It’s okay that you don’t like it! You are entitled to your opinion. I love how you go back over your hauls. First impression videos are so sketchy. I understand why people do them and like them, but I prefer to see how you felt 1-2 months later. Thanks again and have a blessed day!
I love how honest you were about the Emily palette. I wasn’t put off like I was from other reviewers. You’re very kind and critiqued well without leaving a dark overtone. Thank you! Now I need some Dose of Colors lip color!!
thank you for sharing your opinion about Emily's palette. I love her palette and I love that it's buildable. Please always share your honest opinion, you have a right to your own views. You said you gave them a real try and you were kind with your words. What more could we want?
I appreciate your review of Emily's pallet. I have it and I've been pretty disappointed, for the exact reasons you stated. Plus, the building up takes just too long. I generally don't have the time so I've almost completely stopped using this pallet because I always go for shadows I know I can get the look I want quickly. And you're right, $20 is $20, I have very little extra spending money and am bummed I wasted some of it on this pallet. I really like Emily, but this convinced me I don't ever need to spend money on MR again.
Yes! I just lose patience trying to build up shadows so much because who has the time most days. I am sorry to hear that the palette didn't work for you either. I think I am done with MR shadows for awhile too.
I just think it comes down to eye type, texture, primer, preference, and so on. I’m not buying this palette because I don’t need it. I would like to spend my money on different brands most of the time. I usually only buy the reloaded palettes from MUR (worth $7 for sure), But let’s be honest, Emily comes up with some beautiful looks with her palettes and they seem to work very well for her makeup type and she doesn’t seem to have to fuss with them much. I think of it as this was a perfect palette for Emily and she shared it with the world. Andrea did very well explaining her feelings with the palette. It’s not a palette for her, but it doesn’t mean it’s crap, she just prefers something different. As do you, you prefer something different. You can take your palette back if you bought it at Ulta. There’s no shame in returning for a product that suits you, your lifestyle, and your skin better. I returned the fortune palette by MUR to Ulta. It was not the type of shadows I like, even though I thought the palette was pretty. It would have worked well for my mom or mother in law, but wasn’t my cuppa tea. I still give the brand a shot, I just only purchase it from Ulta because the returns are so easy and the brand (like a lot of brands actually 🤔) is a bit hit or miss for me personally.
I have been watching your videos like crazy the last few days, and I gotta say you have quickly become my favorite TH-camr. You are so honest, and down to earth. I love it!! Plus, you’re absolutely stunning. ❤️ I adore your makeup in this video. 😍
I appreciate your thoughts on the Emily palette she did explain it’s meant to be buildable not everyone likes a super pigmentes palette that palette is just not suited for your preference and that’s okay. That’s how you give a respectful negative review
Like another person said on the comments, thank you for the gentle delivery, it is okay to give a negative review, and the way you did it was classy and honest without being harsh to another TH-camr. 🖤
Thank you so much.I'm glad you gave it a chance and not start out with an attitude. Like Emily said,it is the kind that can be built up. She was honest in that. Also, not everyone's skin is the same.I appreciate your kindness while reviewing Emily's pallet.
I’m sorry the Emily Edit didn’t work for you. I love mine and always get compliments on my eye makeup when I wear it. I bought it originally to support her, and was never disappointed. Thanks for your review!
Your review of the Emily palette was so respectful and appropriate, thank you for your honesty! That is how a review should be done rather than how other people have been stating them and doing solely first impressions. I swatched it in store and was insanely disappointed, couldn’t even consider buying it with how dreadful the swatches I did were
I love all these thoughtful and specific comments. It's sometimes hard to describe how to do that-and now I have some new ideas.
@@AndreaMatillano I've unfortunately fallen behind on TH-cam since starting my second year of college but I can't wait to watch all your videos that I've missed when I have a free day!
Thank you for being such a respectful TH-camr. I put you in the same category as Emily because you’re both honest but in a kind and respectful way. I watch all your videos and appreciate the reviews, hauls, and declutters most. I’m waiting on the wants palette to be restocked so I can get my hands on it, but I totally understand why it’s not your favorite given how you prefer eyeshadows to perform.
I love Emily. She is one of the first youtubers I found many moons ago along with Tati. I did not appreciate her review not because of her opinion but because of how she delivered it. I don’t believe anyone deserves backlash for sharing their opinion especially if they are a review channel. I did appreciate the complimentary and click-bait free way that u addressed the wants palette. I have both but have only tried the needs which worked well for me. Before I could try the wants I hurt my back and have been out if commission since 😞. You have such a kind way of delivering your opinion I don’t see how any would could take it as derogatory. You are a shiny star in the beauty community and I’m glad I found u. ❤️
I would love to wear an eyeshadow look like your wearing now everyday. But I have to admit I don’t have the time. So the Emily palette works out well for me. They blend out well for me but I don’t pack it on. Maybe that is why? 🤷🏼♀️ But I would like to try the mini highlighter set!
I love how honest you are in your reviews you keep it 100% real and don’t get tempted by some brands offering money for you to leave a positive review like some other TH-camrs I’ve watched (I won’t name names). Always keep it 100% real! You’re one of the TH-camrs that really made me realize my love for SFX and normal kind of everyday make up. I’m thinking of maybe doing some makeup related videos for Halloween and maybe some Halloween diys for Halloween!
I respect the fact that you actually tried several times to make the Emily palette work for you. I myself like a buildable eyeshadow because I feel subtlety works best on me. I'm normally not one for bold colorful looks but I like them on you. A lot of people have Tati a hard time because in my opinion, she didn't try hard with them since it was a first impression and I'm not a fan of first impressions because you have to play with the palette before you can give an honest opinion. I love your personality and your thorough reviews. Great content as always.
I think you gave a great review of the MUR palette. You kindly pointed out both positive and negative aspects and you also made it clear that it may not be your cup of tea, but you can see why some others with different preferences may like it. Kindness and honesty, we can’t ask for anything more xoxo.
I freaking love the wants palette. It's my go-to for when I'm going for a more daytime look but still want great color and a little shimmer. If I want those colors to really pop, I'll leave my lid slightly tacky and apply the shimmer first and blend out the crease - haven't had an issue. I think it's a great beginner palette for those who are just starting out with makeup and don't want to drop major coin on something they may not get the hang of. I have a heavy hand so I like that I can start small and build up. But not everyone is going to like the same things. It's like my husband always says, "that's why they make chocolate and vanilla."
LA Girl makes a foundation lightening product that is pure white...it’s in the same bottle as their foundation. My ultra fair daughter uses it and it has become a necessity for her in the winter months. 💕💜💕💜💕
It's so weird because Moonstone is my favourite Becca highlighter! It's the perfect colour on me, I can build it to be blinding or go soft glow. It's my travel highlighter because it's so versatile
Love your eye shadow I am hooked on the dose of colors lip gloss. They are so smooth and they taste great. I bought one and just ordered two more I feel the same way about the Emily palette. I gave mine away. I tried it several times and it just didn’t work that well for me. I am not good at building up shadows I like stronger pigment to start out But I still love and admire Emily I think she can get a beautiful look out of any shadow
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on some of these products! I totally agree with you about Emily. She is so talented and I am so happy for her. I hope that she will collab with another company again in the future because the colors were just so beautiful!
I thought I was alone not liking the palette, but I'm like you, I like super pigmented shadows and this is the second MR palette I try (also bought Sophie's), and it was a let down. It sucks because mannn do I beyond love the shadows they put together, but I like to go ham on my shadows and I'm not patient lol. It's great it works for others, and reading the comments I see there's a market for it, so it works out anyway! I also wanted just to give you a compliment on your videos. You're the only TH-camr that I watch that always follows through her promises. I've seen others that will promise to follow up on how x product(s) worked out and we never hear back, and I understand too, it's tough, but somehow you manage to remember to do follow ups of everything you mention lol, that's pretty cool, so thanks because the first impressions or hauls only tell so much!
And this why, both you and Emily are on my short list of suscriptions. You can both give honest reviews while being kind and thoughtful. I enjoy the "needs palate" as it fits my budget and subdued look for work, but very much enjoy seeing your creative looks with high end products 😆. Hugs!!!
I know I’m a bit late to the game watching this so I hope you still see it, but the things that you were saying about Emily Noel resonated with me because I think they are true about you too. Both of you are respectful and kind , you are both super thorough in the way you review products. I like how considered you are in your choices ethically and also because you’ve really used products thoroughly before giving an opinion.
Thank you for being honest about the Emily Wants palette. I experienced the same. In addition, I was disappointed in lack of matte transition shades and obvious "just going to Target" options.
Hey girl. I agree with you about Moonstone. When I swatched it in store years ago I realized it was definitely less glowy and less smooth than opal. But Opal was too dark for me. Luckily a few months later Champagne Pop came out and I bought it. I’m glad I did cause Moonstone is just weird. Loving your eyeshadow. You look so pretty xoxo
I saw your video go up and clicked on it, then TH-cam died for a while!! As always, well worth the wait. I just reorganized my beauty room and I have no business even looking at another beauty product but those highlighters are perfect! I haven’t tried much from Dose of Colour besides liquid lipsticks. Like everyone who watches TH-cam, I was super excited about Emily and her collab and went to Ulta immediately to test out both palettes and was shocked that they offered so little in pigment. I thought the color arrangement was pretty but I’m not one for building up eyeshadows like that. I’m glad soooo many people were able to suppprt her and I’m hoping she comes out with other products that I can use.
I am loving your eye shadow look today! I just wanted to say that you had a very respectful review on MUR The Wants pallet. I have the pallet and I actually enjoy it, I don't have a huge makeup collections but I don't mind how these shadows build up. It's been on my rotation for work looks. Those Becca highlighters look so cute!
I love that you do a follow up video with the new products you hauled. I actually agree with you about the Emily wants palette, it was ok, but nothing great. I prefer my eyeshadows to be more pigmented too. I am not going to return it, but I probably won't reach for it very often.
I like pigmented eyeshadows to and once I found that intenseness and formula I find myself always comparing other palettes to it when you know those Shades are out there you don't really want anything else 💜💛💖💙💚
You are just being honest, no worries :-) I personally love both of Emily's palettes, not because I love her channel and her honest, kindhearted personality but because they truly work for me. They will not be for everyone nor do they have to be. To each his/her own. Thanks :-)
I'm glad you were honest and supportive in your review of the Emily Wants pallet. I'm used to the pigmentation of ABH pallets but after trying both Emily pallets I do still really like them despite that the formula is different. It's less pigmented than ABH but..it blends out well and makes soft looks that are wearable. I need to play with shimmers to see if fix+ intensifies them. Glad you liked Becca higlights but I tried the rose gold one and not sure about it. ABH and wet n wild still my fav.
I love the Emily Edit palette, but love how you explained WHY you didn’t love it! Other reviews didn’t go into enough detail. Like other commenters said, we all can’t love the same things and that’s okay!! ~Great review, great video...hope you have a great weekend!!💖
I’m glad you reviewed The Wants palette, your feedback was very helpful and honest, as every review you do. I really trust your opinion. Thanks Andrea!
FINALLY an honest review of The Emily Palette!!!!! So many TH-camrs gav this an amazing review n I understand Emily is an amazing sweet smaller TH-cam channel n with all the negative drama with the bigger TH-camrs who wouldn’t want to really boost someone lik Emily up HOWEVER I’m a single parent of 4 kids I can barely afford to meet my family needs so when I’m blessed with a lil extra mommy money for makeup, skincare or clothes the last thing I want is to spend it on a palette that doesn’t preform like it’s hyped up to b!!!! So it’s really sad, depressing, wrong, eye opening n etc that some TH-camrs will not b 100 when it comes to reviewing their friends products!!!!!! Thank u so much for caring more about ur subscribers n giving an honest review regardless of the backlash u may or may not get!!!!!
Totally agree about Moonstone! It's totally different from the rest. I gave mine away. I also bought the holiday minis and loving those. Except the Opal is a slightly different texture than my other Opal. It ends up looking the same on the skin but it's pressed differently or something.
I personally like that you can build up the eyeshadows for the Wants Palette. I suck at eyeshadow, and I mess up when they are super pigmented. It’s easier for me to build them up. Idk lol
Once again thanks for being so lovely and thanks for being so honest Andrea. You're the sweetest person on TH-cam. I loved how honest you were about the Emily palette and it's horrible people like Tati were insulted for sharing their opinion. I don't like Revolution palettes at all as I find their quality quite low, they wear off in 5 hrs even with primer and aren't very pigmented.
I love The Wants palette, but it’s my go to only for day to day looks when I want some color, but not the intensity. I found it to be difficult to work with for the really poppy, vibrant looks. So I agree with you completely. In my opinion, your review is absolutely accurate!
I purchased the Becca mini set, and i absolutely love them! They're my first Becca cosmetics purchase. Great deal, and perfect size to try out the products.
I love the Emily edit palette. This is my go to palette. I’m a makeup lover but don’t have funds to spend on a lot of makeup or high end. I love then amount of shades allows me to do different looks every day.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on Emily’s palette, thank you for being honest and respectful. I think a lot of people were angry at Tati because her review seemed like an obvious first impression with little thought put into it. I like how you pointed out that the palette didn’t suite your preferences, but that it might be great for people who prefer to build color slowly. Thanks for being open to other perspectives!
Thank you as always for informative honesty! Even if i think I'm not in the mood to watch make-up videos.., I end up clicking and enjoying your content always 😊..
Thank you for such a great update on your haul! I agree that there is some inconsistency with both palettes imo. The needs palette isn't my jam but I do like The Wants. It is bulky but for a beginner such as myself it's a nice forgiving palette. I can completely understand why people who are better with eye shadows may not like it. I think you, amarie and thrift thick delivered your reviews so well. You did it respectfully and honestly without tearing down another creator. As always thank you for your honest thoughts and for thoroughly reviewing products. ❤
I love the Dose of Color shades you picked up! Such a perfect pink/nude color!!! I am loving my Emily Edit pallets! I am a beginner though and I enjoy the shadows being less pigmented! But, I appreciate an honest review. You are amazing! ALSO, BEAUTIFUL as always!!!
A big Hello from Switzerland 🇨🇭 😊 Great Video 😊 I wanted to give you a recommendation to lightening your foundations. I always use the „The Body Shop Lightening Shade Adjusting Drops“. They do not change the texture and a little goes a long way 😊
Thank you for being honest on your reviews. I agreed with you on the pigmentation issue of that eyeshadow palette and the size it just looks uncomfortable to work with.
I am a HUGE Emily fan, but I totally appreciate your review of the Emily Edit palette and the way you handled it. You were honest and straight-forward, but not in a nasty way. Rather than just saying, "it's a bad palette, it doesn't blend, it's patchy, etc.", you explained why you personally didn't like it and admitted that it was due to your own personal preference and that others may prefer a more buildable, subtle palette. It isn't what you say, it's how you say it. Also, thanks for not making your thumbnail into a pic of you side-eyeing emily's palette with disgust.
I keep trying to listen, but I'm sooo distracted by the beautiful eye look because purple is my favorite color and it is amazing 😍 I need a tutorial for fun ways to wear purple eyeshadows 😁
If you get another shade of the Dose glosses, get Messy Bun. I know you'll love it because we have such similar tastes. My fave Dose liquid lipstick is Campfire. It's the perfect fall shade.
Girl, Becca's Berlin Girl Glow is sooooo pretty. Highly recommend! (If you like unique but not so much so that it's almost unwearable. This one's just ughhhhhh 🤩🤩🤩)
I have been curious about the dose of colors lip products. They are on the expensive side and I was wondering if you could a comparison video to other similar lip products? I might pick up a lip gloss and liquid lipstick during a 20% off sale. Thanks for reviewing them. 😊❤️
Andréa Matillano hahah I thought it was your video I couldn’t see , I kept restarting my phone 😂😂
Great video! Your eyeshadow is beautiful... any chance of seeing a tutorial on it soon? 😬🙏🏻😬
So glad ppl aren’t coming for you in the comments. You explained very well why the palette isn’t for you and have the right to your opinion. I really like the way you do reviews and explain why u like a product or don’t. It’s giving honest feedback without being negative which is refreshing.
Thanks for your kind comment! I appreciate it so much. 😊💗
It was supposed to say refreshing lol! I fixed it but you got the point. 😊 thank you for putting up content I look forward to watching!
Imagine that, right? Being able to honestly review something, even negatively, without being a snob!
Thanks for your kind comment! I appreciate you so much!
Jo Bo Completely agree!
I agree 100%!
I love the Emily Edits palettes, but totally respect your opinions! Not everyone can love the same things!
Thanks for your kind words Kristal! I am so happy to hear that it works well for you! It's a beautiful palette!
Thanks for your kind comment! It means so much to have your support. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the palettes too!
So true I agree.
I agree U did it super Classy and honestly and how u like shadows. And I think anyone could appreciate that.
It’s lovely how your kindness shines through whether a review is positive or not. ❤️
Thanks for your kind words!
Thanks for always being honest! Not everyone can love one product and everyone has a right to their own opinion. I don’t get how some people can be so mean over makeup 🤷♀️
They might be way too much passionate about it or they are just something else lol
I agree. It's makeup. It's fun. It's just not that serious
I like the Emily edit. I am scared of super super pigmented shadows. This palette is right up my alley.
BadWolf 757 me too! I make too many mistakes, and soft pigments are more forgiving. ;-)
I completely agree! And that's why I like the palette. But I can understand why some people don't.
neysa rodriguez ☝🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️👍🏽✌🏽
I think you are very trustworthy..I enjoy my Emily edit palette but I absolutely understand where you are coming from you are also very respectful and kind . ♡
Thank you for your kind comment! I appreciate it so much!
I have both of Soph's palettes as well. They're terrific.
Plz make a video on best small sized eyeshadow palletes. I dont like using a big pallete and i never reach fr them.i like a small compact pallete tht is so easy and convenient. I am also of same brown neutral eye shadows.plz gv me some suggestions
Sana Rashid try checking out the hydra beauty “obsessions” palettes. the warm brown one is really beautiful if you like brown tones !!
I would love to film a video like that, thanks for the suggestion! Dose of Colors has some nice 5 pan palettes. Their shadows are pretty powdery, but they do blend nicely on the eyes.
Dose of Colors has their 5 pan palettes (5 of them) on sale, on their site, for $109. I was so tempted.
I have a small 4 pan palette from colourpop is beautiful and blends perfectly. It's affordable and came with a mirror 😊
You’re just the BEST! Such a graceful review of the wants palette. You are very respectable! ❤️ loved this video. I never miss one of your videos 🙃
Thanks for watching my videos Mel! I appreciate your sweet comment!
I agree Sarah. Even if people completely disagreed with Tati, there was no need for that degree of nastiness!
I'm so glad andrea mentioned the emily palette, and it just goes to show that what Tati was saying wasn't wrong. I'm just happy that andrea isn't getting the same kind of negativity that tati got for speaking the truth.
love your drama free channel! you are honest and respectful with your reviews
Your eyeshadow is blinding today and it’s beaming into my heart 💜
Aw haha I love you! 💗💗 Thanks for your sweet comment!
Honesty isn't the problem. It's the way it's presented! 😉💞
Yes!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Couldn't agree more! 😉
Two For Joy Spirit Honestly is Honestly! How you interpret it is depends on you. It’s kinda unfair to compare first impression and thought out review☺️
Yes Thataylaa also said that she had to do a little work off camera to get the shimmers to how she likes, during her first impression vid. 💕
Exactly!!! Thank goodness someone said it!!
You’ve always been one of my fav TH-camrs and I’m so so glad you’re honest about products especially after talking about Emily’s palette even though Tati got so much nonsense for it. You’re da best!
Thanks for your kind comment and support! It means so much to me!
You are such a diamond in the rough. So kind and thoughtful, yet honest and true to yourself. You are beautiful inside and out! We need more creators like you! This eye look is everything I’ve ever wanted in a peel Smokey eye!
I really like the way you talked about The Wants palette, it was very respectful. I just bought it the other day, but I haven't tried it yet. 🤞
Thanks for your kind comment! I hope it works for you! 💗
It’s all about the delivery. You can still be honestly without ripping someone down. Thanks Andrea!
I didn't like it either. I'm actually gonna return it.
Thanks for your kind comment! I appreciate it so much!
It's sometimes hard to describe how to do that-and now I have some new ideas.
You and Emily are my two faves 💖
That's so sweet of you! Thank you for watching my videos!
YOUR eyeshadow!!! Totally amazing
💗💗 Thank you so much!
I love your colorful bright eyeshadow. So refreshing. But I like the neutral not so pigmented eye looks for when I go crazy with my lip colors.
I think you did a great job explaining why the wants didn’t work for you personally. I love your honesty
Last year for Black Friday, dose of colours did 40% off so you should stock up then!!
Oh my gosh! I am going to hold out and see if they have that sale again because that would be amazing!
Omg...that's a great deal...was that at ulta or dose of colors website.
The dose website!
@@paigefacoory2808 thank you...I'll will be on the look out then. I always forget about sites unless its promoted
LA Girl makes a foundation lightening product that is pure white...it’s in the same bottle as their foundation. My ultra fair daughter uses it and it has become a necessity for her in the winter months. 💕💜💕💜💕
The lip color that you have on is the BEST, color on you that I ever seen you wear. JUST DROP DEAD GORGEOUS STUNNING!!!!
It's so weird because Moonstone is my favourite Becca highlighter! It's the perfect colour on me, I can build it to be blinding or go soft glow. It's my travel highlighter because it's so versatile
Love your eye shadow
I am hooked on the dose of colors lip gloss. They are so smooth and they taste great. I bought one and just ordered two more
I feel the same way about the Emily palette. I gave mine away. I tried it several times and it just didn’t work that well for me. I am not good at building up shadows I like stronger pigment to start out
But I still love and admire Emily I think she can get a beautiful look out of any shadow
We appreciate your honest review of the palette 💕
Thank you so much for watching! 💗
Im so glad you give your thoughts on what worked and what didn’t on the things you buy! So helpful girly! Btw you look gorgeous 🔥💕
I love that you do a follow up video with the new products you hauled. I actually agree with you about the Emily wants palette, it was ok, but nothing great. I prefer my eyeshadows to be more pigmented too. I am not going to return it, but I probably won't reach for it very often.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it! 💗 I really appreciate you taking the time to watch!
I like pigmented eyeshadows to and once I found that intenseness and formula I find myself always comparing other palettes to it when you know those Shades are out there you don't really want anything else 💜💛💖💙💚
Your makeup today! 💜💜💜 So gorgeous! I'm dying to try those DOC lipglosses. The shades you chose are so pretty!
Congrats on 275K! Your videos are always filled with so much great information! Thank you for your dedication and honesty!
You are just being honest, no worries :-) I personally love both of Emily's palettes, not because I love her channel and her honest, kindhearted personality but because they truly work for me. They will not be for everyone nor do they have to be. To each his/her own. Thanks :-)
Thank you for your honesty on the Emily palette. You did the review in a very professional manner.
I looove you in purple and blue eyeshadows! They just complement your eye color beautifully😍
I'm glad you are loving the Becca set!
Thank you for keeping us updated. I appreciate your honesty and that you tell us how things worked for you.
I purchased the Becca mini set, and i absolutely
love them!
A big Hello from Switzerland 🇨🇭 😊 Great Video 😊
I wanted to give you a recommendation to lightening your foundations. I always use the „The Body Shop Lightening Shade Adjusting Drops“.
They do not change the texture and a little goes a long way 😊
Yes I totally agree with Becca moonstone! It’s a different formula than the others and feels quite chalky.
I love your channel. I just found you last week and I just love your sweet personality. Thank you for your channel. Bless you girl!
Oh my gosh I love that eyeshadow on you! I wish I could pull colors like that!!
