Problem is that Driver SF has not the same constraints than TCM or TDUSC so basically you have to make compromises
One thing I love is that they recognize their direct competitor is Rockstar games. That’s who I always compare them to when talking about TDU games and their history. I always have said they’re closer to GTA than they are to Forza Horizon and Gran Turismo. That’s why I was hoping they weren’t dumb and released this game beside GTA get the game out early, drop content and market your game heavy. TDU is really in its own genre of gaming it’s a mix. I love that they actually acknowledged the game always being online and having a offline solution in the future and actually called out The Crew and Ubisoft by name. Now something that I want even though this is not the final build in these clips. I absolutely need to see traffic variety in this game. In real life Hong Kong you see all types of vehicles like industrial vehicles, cops cars, paramedics and double decker buses. Double decker buses are extremely popular in Hong Kong they’re everywhere. I need to see these type of vehicles for better immersion on roads I’m loving everything I’m seeing I know these aren’t final game builds they’re running less traffic and no pedestrians for better gameplay and optimization for showing fans. Also as a side note I’m a huge Ram TRX guy. I appreciate the Ford Raptor but can we please get a Ram TRX as the Ford Raptor’s competitor please. I’m so tired of game’s adding the Raptor and not adding the Ram TRX it’s been out for 8 years now I’m counting from 2016 because I’ve been following it that long look up the Ram TRX concept it’s a real vehicle then they announced it in 2018 and put it into production in 2021. Even Ford has upgraded the Raptor to a supercharged V8 with the Raptor R. That’s how long it’s been and Chevy is coming out with their own in a few months. It doesn’t have to be here on release but in this games life cycle please add the 2021 RAM TRX model please TDU Devs.
The camera on the steering wheel is incredible, the character wearing a watch I liked that , but in 2024 all that's missing is an animation of the steering wheel turning 900 degrees like in The Crew Motorfest
This game is not even in the same genre as Forza Horizon someone needs to tell him that dude doesn’t even realize this game is the reason Forza Horizon exists and the stuff you can do in TDU you can’t do at all in Forza it’s two completely different games with obvious similar elements that all games with open world and cars have but this game if compared to a different has always been closer to GTA than Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon
@@redhunnid5142 Not in the same genre? Completely different games? Wth. Sure they put their focus on different areas, but they are both open-world racing games. Its like an E-class vs 5 series. it's definitely great to hear you mention steering wheel rotation, now KT will listen to you before launch 😂 Thank you so much Alex, hopefully it will be added............
Most likely an issue coming from the IRL cars that are used as the base for the 3D models, even if they outsource the 3D work most countries are right side driving and have LHD cars
It’s a licence thing, when you make a game odds are you end up getting LHD one based on manufacture details or modelling specification. FH4 suffered from it too, plus either way you’d have to model a car twice to have it, and if we have a second island down the road that’s RHD, it’s gonna be okay with these LHD cars anyway
that drift clip sold me on the physics on the game. Only thing that gets me is the camera seems a little stiff, more like GranTruismo than anything else, but ill be using interior cam most of the time anyway
Nah, i think the region king will be like the Gran Turismo irl championships, so the "ranked" mode will be divided by regions, but i think it will only a thing only to show how much time and esperience in game you have, instead of player levels. I'm sure the online races and freeroam will NOT be region locked
“You need to work hard to get the vehicles for your garage”. Music to my ears. Forza Horizon handed out cars like candy. Had 12 cars before the first tournament was over.

Hi Alex, the game looks great, I pre-ordered it and am looking forward to the game's release, but I really don't like how small the steering wheel angle is. Since you have connections with KT, could you somehow hint to them to increase the angle to at least 180 degrees like in forza horizon 5

The referred to "Float" comes from the contact patch between car & road not being visible paired with the lack of camera mobility causing the car to look as if it's floating across the road not that the handling of the game is "floaty"
Ahh thank you for explaining that! So basically better camera or ability to edit the camera is something that KT should work on for launch to help with that?
@@TheAlexVII gauging from the way traffic looks I don't think a simple adjustment would accomplish the necessary I think it's something u just gotta accept as part of the games character💯 Fix one problem to cause 15 more💯
In term of details it would be crazy if they add Mode-Selection in Cars (Comfort, Sport and if available Sport+), which changes the cars behaivor such as quiter Sound in comfort
Does this game have map discovering like tdu 1+2 and the crew 1? That you can only fast travel to sections, where you've already been prior? I loved that feature and i think it's a good way to make people exploring the world. Was really disappointed that motorfest didn't have that anymore (can't remeber if crew 2 had it)
I just wonder if we will be able to manipulate with that first bar (windows, light, spolier,...) on PC or if it's only for consolles. Like I am afraid bout that center panel cuz there is no real time map as it was in TDU 2... hope they fix that to perfection.
A few houses or apartments throughout the map would be cool. I don't know maybe 2/3 houses and 2/3 apartments in different parts of Hong Kong. In terms of garages I'm thinking about 8 slots and you can choose what cars you want to display so for example one week you display certain cars and next week you change the cars that are displayed if you want to do that. :)) From what I have seen in other videos we will have car customization and upgrades just not body kits. The cars will have the optional colors, rims and interior trims from factory at the dealership. Curious to see if we will have optional aerodynamic parts for car brands that offer such thing from factory: Ferrari offers different aerodynamic parts on some of there cars as well as Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, BMW (you can get different bumpers, wings, or some aerodynamic parts in carbon fiber, you have M aerodynamic parts for BMWs, Nismo parts/body kits for Nissan GT-Rs). Maybe we will have at least this option on certain cars that have this customization options from factory. But at the workshop we do have the option to choose aftermarket wheels (real brands such as BBS, Vossen I don't know what brands they have licensed for wheels), different paints from the factory ones (multiple colors to choose from and styles: metallic, glossy, matte etc), we do have a livery editor and we do have performs upgrades: transmission, brakes, suspensions, intake or whatever even exhaust (the sound of the exhaust changes if you upgrade the exhaust at the workshop). I am curious if we will have different interior customization options at the workshop as well and not only the factory options. Hopefully we also have pedestrians on the city streets.
1 thing I hate about the map is the road are way too wide, they definitely tried to put American road characteristics into HKI which is completely opposite, which kinda ruins the sense of speed too
I will definitely only drive in the dashcam. You don't see the wheel but I have my own to control the car and the big original HUD of the car I'm currently driving is nice to see in this game
Something to point out, you can see pedestrians on the walk bridge at 2:51, its not pedestrians all around as we would like, but worth mentioning. There is some hope there!
Is there any video where they show actual racing, like cars cornering because some of the footage i've seen with cars cornering it looked so stiff and floaty. i guess that's why they are mostly going straight on the roads..
2K is a deliberately misleading number to use as it can (and should) mean 1920x1080 (4K is 3840x2160 so it’s exactly half) or has been incorrectly used to describe 2560x1440. Personally I think the article uses it to mean 1080 but get people’s hopes up as consoles don’t usually talk about 1440 performance.
Or they used it incorrectly and meant 1440p, like most people do when they say 2K. Would be cool if they actually meant 1080p and people like this creator here got it wrong. LMAO!
Alex, bro! I've followed all of your content on TDUSC since I saw you on the Nacon video when they brought you guys on as influencers to try out the game. Thank you for the content, genuinely! I could leave a comment a mile long, but most importantly I played the demo every minute I could. As a TDU enthusiast, Ive followed the progress since they announced years back. I work a lot and didnt have time to join the playtests but after playing the demo I have a lot of feedback. Is there a way I can get my feedback heard?
4:00 that's a Shelby Daytona Coupe. A returning car from both TDU games, these were notoriously known as the rarest buyable car in the first TDU game as it was often marked as out of stock.
I'm cautiously excited, there are things that make me excited but yet worry about the game. Pedestrian NPC's aren't a thing I look for in racing games, however, in a open world like this I believe it makes a difference and strangely uncanny how there isn't a soul to be seen in sight on the sidewalks in such a dense population area. I can definitely excuse it for now but a future patch of this would be nice. I dunno but I'm excited to see where this game goes and hope it replaces The Crew Motorfest for me, I haven't been able to play it due to technical issues. I just hope the grind aspect is still there, a rewarding one like the older TD's.
I'm not sure if having pedestrians is needed but I do think that the locale isn't as visually alluring as Hawaii or Ibiza was. Hopefuly the interior spaces can make up for more dull look of the locale.
Motorfest was such a let down to me and that’s saying a lot because I played The Crew 2 from beta to motorfest. That was a pretty bad game but it had alot of fun aspects that kept bringing me back.
It also looks weird how the cars don't have dynamic shadows, here it clearly looks like sunset/sunrise 3:57, yet the shadows under the NPC cars and the player car are as if the sun was shining straight from above (the shadow is just a black box under the cars). It may be that they just haven't added all lights to update the shadows, I don't know sometimes it just looks weird like the cars are floating but maybe they'll fix this. In the Ford Raptor footage the shadow looks a lot more realistic. Not sure why that is. Maybe there's a dynamic shadows setting disabled in some of the footage to get better frame rate?
The game is getting perfect. If I could give an idea, it would be for map expansion. This is something players like, new places to drive, making the game feel fresh, and no competitors are doing this. And of course, houses.
Isn't 1440@60 and 4k30 the exact same what motorfest is doing on series x and ps5? I have to say, that i think the visuals are quite inconsistant for me (especially objects that are mid or long range). I could imagine that the game has quite aggressive dynamic resolution (good for performance) or just a very low base resolution which gets upscaled (Jedi Survivor style). Maybe that gets a little more tuning until release or the upcoming ps5 pro can get higher average resolution (when it releases probably a few months after tdu sc)
The marketing is kicking off finally btw are they going to add pedestrians later on cause in the older trailers they were people walking but in the previous games they didnt have it but it would be nice if they added it just like midnightclub.
I wish they would clear up the confusion around the Cars that are in the silver and gold editions, if they‘re DLC and thus not obtainable in base game or they just get unlocked for free instead of having to grind credits. One of the biggest talking points surrounding the release and preorder announcement right now.
The sound is just insane. Finally, a game where the car audio does not sound like it was made from the broken speaker. Btw. Looking at 19:09, is it actually possible to drive to the other side of HK? Cause in real life, the cargo port is located there.
The game has a lot of potential but they really need to add houses, clinics for cosmetic surgeries, clothing stores and salons. Having everything centralized at the hotel isn't what I wanted.
Sorry for making so many comments but do you think that people who made TDU/TDU2 negotiated a deal to have the licenses for the vehicles indefinitely because otherwise why would they remake so many cars from TDU2? Surely if they had to renew the licenses anyway they'd focus on different cars and maybe remake only a couple, but it almost seems like most if not all of the cars from TDU2 are there. Manufacturers would probably not want to sell licenses to their old cars either, and they'd want their new cars to be shown in game if anything. What do you think?
My thing is this: The game looks great. The graphics are good and the cars I've seen look and sound good. I also love the way you can interact with other players at the hangout/lounge spot, but what does this game bring to the table that we don't already have in Forza, NFS, or Gran Turismo?
Place of residence, dealerships, workshops, OEM wheels and interiors, social features, ability to walk around interiors, vehicle functions (turn signals, wipers, windows etc), a focus on driving rather than just racing, proper progression, more in-depth character customisation and a 1:1 map. This game is about the lifestyle elements. Are you seriously suggesting that this isn't enough to differentiate it from other racing games?
I didn’t think I could be more hyped but this video just did that! 🔥 I am so excited to do night highway runs in the cars I worked hard to get with friends (that I hopefully make lol)
Im hoping we can turn of our cars and also i wish their was more ai diversity, like busses and trucks etc and aslo more average cars, nether the less im excited for another TDU game!!!
Yeah, Forza Horizon and The Crew Motorfest might be games with more fun, but TDU is more mature i think. It is about driving, cruising, grinding, lifestyle and more. I like both FH and TCM, but it is only about speed and driving throug everything like it is from paper… ok for fun, but not racing and cruising an open world driving game. IMO.
Why does it seem to be so difficult for studios to implement 900 degree rotation. They are always talking about the feeling of having a car but in my opinion the feeling doesn’t come up when Im in the interior cam and the steering wheel turns only 45 degrees

So far the gameplay is quite smooth.. i cant wait for the end result of the TDUSC
The camera on the steering wheel is incredible, the character wearing a watch I liked that , but in 2024 all that's missing is an animation of the steering wheel turning 900 degrees like in The Crew Motorfest
yeah I hope animation improves man
"Can't compete with Forza Horizon's fun"
Bro who the hell wrote this article 😭💀

A shill journalist. Gamergate 2.0
One is more comfort focused, the other is sportier, but they are both executive sedans.
Oh and how is that an argument for Forza Horizon 5 not being fun that it was inspired by TDU?
it's definitely great to hear you mention steering wheel rotation, now KT will listen to you before launch 😂
Thank you so much Alex, hopefully it will be added............
yea the devs be lurking
Alex why are all the cars left hand drive when Hong Kong drive on the left side of the road ? Little details like this bug me
They're based in France so they only have access to LHD cars to use as a source. Also the cars will probably be reused for a future title.
You would think there would be tech that could flip it so its correct, I love first person but if the wheel isn't on the correct side its awful.
that drift clip sold me on the physics on the game. Only thing that gets me is the camera seems a little stiff, more like GranTruismo than anything else, but ill be using interior cam most of the time anyway
Yeah fair enough, they just need a camera editor like WRC Generations
Traffic AI cars needs HK plates! 🥲 Not those generic SC plates
Agreed!
Good point!
Nah, i think the region king will be like the Gran Turismo irl championships, so the "ranked" mode will be divided by regions, but i think it will only a thing only to show how much time and esperience in game you have, instead of player levels.
I'm sure the online races and freeroam will NOT be region locked
That huracan gameplay sold the game. Can't wait
just from the start im already thinking that touge's are gonna be crazy this time
“You need to work hard to get the vehicles for your garage”. Music to my ears. Forza Horizon handed out cars like candy. Had 12 cars before the first tournament was over.

900 degrees steering animations and this game on wheel would be crazy.
Hi Alex, the game looks great, I pre-ordered it and am looking forward to the game's release, but I really don't like how small the steering wheel angle is. Since you have connections with KT, could you somehow hint to them to increase the angle to at least 180 degrees like in forza horizon 5
I have ever since I went to France last year! I’m hoping they are working on that for launch

Does anyone know if there will be police and getting stars from crashing like the older TDUs?
I’m sure the map is large enough, but man I’m gonna miss the monster that was Hawaii.
In term of details it would be crazy if they add Mode-Selection in Cars (Comfort, Sport and if available Sport+), which changes the cars behaivor such as quiter Sound in comfort
Why isn't the incar radio not have Satnav on the Alpine? Old TDU's have this
Yes I am hoping it happens before launch
Does this game have map discovering like tdu 1+2 and the crew 1? That you can only fast travel to sections, where you've already been prior? I loved that feature and i think it's a good way to make people exploring the world. Was really disappointed that motorfest didn't have that anymore (can't remeber if crew 2 had it)
You can really see the level of effort they've gone to to get all the little details just right. I'm so excited!
I hope they fix the third person cam and wheel rotation a bit. Maybe its already fixed in newer versions but this would change a lot.
I just wonder if we will be able to manipulate with that first bar (windows, light, spolier,...) on PC or if it's only for consolles. Like I am afraid bout that center panel cuz there is no real time map as it was in TDU 2... hope they fix that to perfection.
16:12 bro u can year the npc’s car radio that’s some crazy detail ngl
A few houses or apartments throughout the map would be cool. I don't know maybe 2/3 houses and 2/3 apartments in different parts of Hong Kong. In terms of garages I'm thinking about 8 slots and you can choose what cars you want to display so for example one week you display certain cars and next week you change the cars that are displayed if you want to do that. :))
From what I have seen in other videos we will have car customization and upgrades just not body kits.
1 thing I hate about the map is the road are way too wide, they definitely tried to put American road characteristics into HKI which is completely opposite, which kinda ruins the sense of speed too
i get you, but atleast there's still a variety of tight roads on the map, even though gameplay only covered a tiny bit of hongkong
The sound echoes off of the terrain and not just tunnels is actually insane
I will definitely only drive in the dashcam. You don't see the wheel but I have my own to control the car and the big original HUD of the car I'm currently driving is nice to see in this game
I wanna see a Test Drive 1 Car Pack.
Yes. We need mid 2000s cars in this game.

Something to point out, you can see pedestrians on the walk bridge at 2:51, its not pedestrians all around as we would like, but worth mentioning. There is some hope there!
15:16 is this a lunch control ?
LMAO!
Ahhh I have no idea then, I’ll try and get confirmation for sure 🙏🏾
Sounds already way better than fh4 .. and the traffic system is perfect 🤩 my god it’s gonna be perfect for ROLEPLAYS
Gold Pre Order for sure. Thanks for sharing, can't wait!
Same here
Is the map going to be as big as the crew and the crew 2? I'm very curious!
So what are the petrol stations for, do they actually do anthing
Yes to fix and clean your car (you must be stationary)
Can someone explain what does the gas station for??

I'm not sure if having pedestrians is needed but I do think that the locale isn't as visually alluring as Hawaii or Ibiza was. Hopefuly the interior spaces can make up for more dull look of the locale.
tdu never had pedestrians, I get it adds to the immersion like in nfs unbound but most driving games don't have it

September can’t come soon enough
Is there gonna be wheel support?
That car is a Shelby Daytona Coupe 👍🏻
And it is also my dream car to own 👍🏻👍🏻
The marketing is kicking off finally btw are they going to add pedestrians later on cause in the older trailers they were people walking but in the previous games they didnt have it but it would be nice if they added it just like midnightclub.

I don't know if its the physics or the chase camera but drifting looks funny now im worried about the driving physics
I wish they would clear up the confusion around the Cars that are in the silver and gold editions, if they‘re DLC and thus not obtainable in base game or they just get unlocked for free instead of having to grind credits. One of the biggest talking points surrounding the release and preorder announcement right now.
Yeah that’s true, hopefully they can do that with an FAQ newsletter this month
The sound is just insane. Finally, a game where the car audio does not sound like it was made from the broken speaker. Btw. Looking at 19:09, is it actually possible to drive to the other side of HK? Cause in real life, the cargo port is located there.
The game has a lot of potential but they really need to add houses, clinics for cosmetic surgeries, clothing stores and salons. Having everything centralized at the hotel isn't what I wanted.
Good feeling about this game. I have yet to hear the aventador and 458 though. Most developers get the sound wrong for those cars
What do you think?
no idea honestly, I'd guess they just wanted to have a list of new and nostalgia

Im hoping we can turn of our cars and also i wish their was more ai diversity, like busses and trucks etc and aslo more average cars, nether the less im excited for another TDU game!!!
Fair to say from the comments, people are very concerned instead of hyped
They should get the car specific speedometers like in tdu2 😭😭
Because it's an arcade game. Only simulators model anything above 900° steering rotation both on the wheel and steering column.
