This video is a great information drop appreciate the time you took to explain in detail. The slabs coins is very interesting to me an a goal of mine to do a date run.
@@TheKANSASKIDD I bet an agree. Hopefully I can get mine up an going this year. It's something I've been wanting to do just haven't pull the trigger on for not know a lot about the space but been learning a great deal recently and think I know enough to ease into it. ⚖️
Great video! Those coin boxes are my favorite to house my slabs. You made great points especially about PCGS slabs. The “doilies” holder, rattlers and OGH are my favorite PCGS holders. Thank you for sharing 😎🤙🏼
That's pretty crazy. If I had a $4000 piece of plastic I'd sell it and buy Raw Silver Dollars, cause I'm just head over heals for Grade Fine Morgan Dollars.
Hey KIDD, there's a rarer OGH that comes between your OGH and the Rattlers. They only used them for about 2-3 months before going to the OGH that you have. They look like your OGH but have the 4 pins like a Rattler, and the PCGS logo is on the raised edge. Excellent discussion, my friend!
I JUST got my first ever slabbed coins TODAY. Some coins I found myself and pulled out of rolls years ago. Have not opened them yet but I will be filming that soon! Love the point "buy the holder not the coin". So many people say the opposite and it does not make sense all the time!
@@TheKANSASKIDD duuude, I just opened them and they are SICK! Crazy to have coins that I pulled myself slabbed like this! Good grades too. Vid coming soon!
Ive been wanting to get a good ms64 Walker but went a little crazy on premium pieces lately so im going to be concentrating on weight for a little while but the walkers definitely have to be one of my favorite coins so i think itd be good to finally have a graded numismatic. Those are some beautiful pieces man.
Best PCGS slab old green holder just has the look I enjoy, the rats are too rough and the later holders don’t have “the look”. All things being equal though…the NGC holders being fairly consistent throughout the years is still my favorite slab I do collect the NGC Lincoln slabs from 2009, they were a special slab option so there arnt a ton of them and I buy them whenever I come across them cheap..just for the slab
I agree 110% with everything you just said. I love those Benjamin Franklin you were showing. There one of, if not my favorite coin period. I also love the Libertad, especially the reverse proof Libertad.
Someday I'd like to get a coin in the old ANACS slab with blue writing on the label... The old PCGS slabs with the green labels I really like too... Oh, you mentioned low ball... kinda in the same area... some people are collecting coins with just the MS 60 grade because it is a tough grade to get... so many are either AU 58 or MS 62 or 63... Plus i heard AU 58 is getting to be a more popular grade to get for the everyman registry set!
woul be cool if you did this type of video with other holders aswell NTC has a lot of really nice Franklins you can find, and the green labels were/are still pretty sought after. BCGS has a holder which was like the anacs soapbox and there was also SEG & SGS Also there was NCG which had soapbox style holders all had really good coins, and make slab collecting really cool
Awesome video, thanks for sharing and explaining the holders. I knew much of that but it's great that you put it out there for a learning guide for your followers 👍💯
I like those ANACS soap bars. I see very few at the local shows here and the mark up on the coins in them are high. I passed on many as much as I would like to have one of those holders but know eventually I will pick one up. NGC has an earlier generation that looks similar.
The white label is for the old rattlers. The labels in them were white before the green label rattlers. I would loooove and original NGC black core someday but those are insanely expensive.
I was just on the website today considering sending in some coins and noticed that people can have coins reholdered for $20. I suppose if the plastic got scratched up it makes it look bad so it seems like a good idea until watching your video…choices?
Really good discussion! It's crazy how collectable the old slabs are now. I blame Fish for creating this market 🤣🤣👍👍
The value is in the plastic, I been saying this for years. 😂
The value is definitely in the eye of the beHOLDER

Ahhh yes, I've read about those. Yeah this is definitely a fun topic!
That is a whole new rabbit hole to go down! So many variables to pay attention to. I'll keep my eye out for the old ones. 😱
It can get pretty crazy!
Great tip I didn’t know the older PCGS holder are worth more! Thanks for sharing bro 😎
Yes indeed good sir!

The collectors market can be very interesting.
There are 2 sizes of the early white ANACS slabs - Also some of the early ones have letters in there serial numbers
I've seen the other white slabs. The earlier ones. I like them! Thanks Steve!

Yep. That's what I'm talking about right there. I like all of them. I like the mix of slabs and variety.
Nah, the current PCGS slabs look and feel the best!

A lot of value can be overlooked if you aren't aware of this information. Great video
Definitely true. 👊
Great educational video! I’m curious your thoughts on CACG slabs since for now they add a premium aswell
They do add a premium. The thing with CAC is that I liked them keeping tabs on the other companies for grading legitimacy.
I buy coins in a holder JUST to break them out! Break free the coins!!!!
FREE THEM!!!
Great Information!
Good to see ya Montanastacker!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing and explaining the holders. I knew much of that but it's great that you put it out there for a learning guide for your followers 👍💯

They are fun to find and hunt for, but can definitely be costly
@@TheKANSASKIDD Yeah I definitely want one of those ANACS though. Either the blue or green text. A PCGS rattler will happen too. Great video!👍
Buy the coin in the lowest priced holder.. you can transfer it over to any company for $12
Worth it to make $100s
I like pgcs, I do have coins that are NGC
Nothing wrong with either! Both have produced nice graded coins!!
The holders changed over the years, I knew the rattler's are very popular.
They have indeed, and have become very collectable!
dang you got a lot of slabs. I'm still at 2. Total
That's only half of my Franklin Collection!!!

@@TheKANSASKIDD it is my favorite coin in a holder. It really grows on me.
