@KL Gamers, i bought these exact components but the motherboard is grey and red (but i think it's the same thing) i brought it to someone thta would assemble it for me and he said he would need an 8th gen to make an update which would then make the 9th gen (i7 9700k) work with the motherboard. i don't understand tho, why does it need an update and is there something to do

HELLO K! You are my go to guy for MSI! I recently built my last system with an MSI Z390-A Pro with an Intel Pentium Gold Coffee Lake G5400 Duel Core 3.7Ghz Processor! 64 GB DDR4 3200 Ram and a GeForce GTX 1650 Video Card! I use this system for Adobe Video Editing! Besides ticking the XMP & GAME BOOST button with FAN set to Auto, what else can I do to Overclock this system? I was told by MSI that This is basically a budget gaming board that cannot be manually overclocked? Any advise Would be greatly appreciated!
as some one just learning how to do this it would be a lot more helpful if you took the time to do a step by step install of these components. especially hooking up multiple rgbs where all the wires go and so on instead of a 20 min unboxing of every thing showing the stuff that really matters may be to long or boring to you but would help alot of people just starting

usually depends model of the motherboard and usually they will include a small M.2 screw

the coolermaster hyper 212, rgb or not It's a good budget cooler, im not sure if its good for overclocking but I do recommend getting an AIO if u do plan to overclock

In the OC menu click expert mode then where the ram frequency is at, I think it's above the Advanced timings option there's an option that I forget what it says but the choices are Auto link and unlink, you want link. I know that sounds confusing because I'm high, but it's there.

Usually you need to check if you installed the audio driver usually is Realtek, then if you have installed the software, you can find the application at the bottom right corner of the taskbar , usually orange icon. In a very small gear icon within the Realtek software settings you need to uncheck the detect front panel option
KL Gamers actually i have realtek audio driver .. but i think its outdated one but when i install latest one from manufacturer website then reboot my pc .. the outdated realtek audio driver reinstall my itself .. its like it rollback the driver .. i cant install the newest one ..

I just switched from a 365phantom and an i5-9400f to this mobo and this cpu and my pc will not boot at all
The intel i5 9400F processor which have the "F" SKU model at the back means no build in intel HD graphics which means you cannot use this processor without a graphics card. You will need to plug in a graphics card like the GTX 1650
My literal pfp is my graphics card, i had a h510 case, the 9400f two sticks of 8gigs of ram at 3200mhz, a 1tb SSD and the GTX 1660ti......now i have the I7-9700k and a new motherboard that supports beyond 3200mhz ram, the z390 a pro. So yea I don’t know alot about PCs but i know the parts needed to function. I will admit at the time I didn’t know the stupid F series was a mistake to get because the lack of integrated graphics. Ive only changed out my chip so far im going to have a friend whos more careful with his hands do my motherboard..
