He committed a crime against the poor victim just to get into the same prison his brother was serving in. I LOVE that the judge sent him to a separate jail.
I like that that last creep died in jail, rather than at home under hospice care. Thanks, HC!

Let’s hope every single culprit is shaking in their shoes every time their doorbell rings, looks over their shoulder ten times a minute and every night is a rough, sleepless one. DNA, science, mobile phones, cctv and a community minded, educated police force all make our world a lot safer place than what it was.
Many of these were more like 40 years ago. That’s very awesome, these cold cases being solved are so satisfying and my favorite type of true crime by far.

That's the unfortunate thing 30 years is a very long time to get away with a crime as serious as murder so basically they got to live their live for all that time when they should have been rotten in a prison cell not to mention the torture the victims family must have been going through during that time knowing their killer is walking around free.
@@seandelap6268 True, but I'm certain that in some cases all those years of guilt affects their health & eats them up from the inside!
Cold cases being solved are my FAVORITE and almost exclusively what I watch of true crime. They are so satisfying. These were all cases from 40 years ago in the 80’s. I’m 40 myself. 1981 baby. My entire life these monsters got away with it, well not anymore. Your voice is one of my absolute favorites for these types of videos. Also love the background music!

Althea Oakeley was born just a month after I was. She would’ve turned 55 last week.
I hope she can now rest In peace and her family can have _some_ closure.
The first case the sketch from him being younger actually looks like him now they gave a great description.
Yeah I think they coerced a junky into confessing just so they could say they closed the case.

It's gratifying to know that God deals with evil sooner or later, if not on this earth, then in the world to come.

Unfortunately cases like Althea’s are constant here in Albuquerque. In just the last few months we’ve had 4 stabbings in the same area alone. It’s truly disturbing
I just read Althea's case in the Taos News the other day. This took a very long time to solve. Thank God we have the technology today for answers to the past.
Althea's killer defined 'incel' before that was a term.
Many,Many killers are. Most killers and rapists of women of the past have had an incel mindset to some extent. It was theorized that hatred for women fueled Ted Bundy,the zodiac killer and son of Sam. Ted Bundy hated his mother for telling him that is grandparents were his parents instead of her. And psychologists believe that his strong resentment of his mother spread to his view of other women as well. Son of Sam was basically the '70s version of an incel. Hating women and blaming all of his life problems on women refusing to have sex with him. And while the zodiac killer is still unknown to this day he attacked his female victims far more violently than his male victims (some of his male victims survived) . Indicating some animosity towards women in general.

It is good that there is closure but the capricious slaughter of young women has got to stop. Not only have their families lost so very much, but so has the world.
You would think that these predators would stop these killings given the technology they have now. They could do more to cover their tracks, but many are drunk or high so are less likely to be very thoughtful and organized. The serial killers would have trouble doing anything with their victims that don't fit their warped fantasies.
It’s usually old men who think they have a right to these women. It starts with raising your sons properly
He just killed a beautiful woman walking by. So heartbreaking.
But, he had been thoroughly BAD all his dammed life...I hope he suffers in Hell.
And all did was smile and greet him, Jesus Christ.
Right. It’s even more saddening to hear that she had smiled and talked to him, and he killed her because of her gender. Some people just don’t deserve the kindness shown to them.
Incels are dangerous
Lucas was treated like a famous celebrity rather than an infamous killer. A law enforcement agency needs to put together a task force to investigate the cases that were closed based on Lucas's confessions.
It's a travesty of justice that needs to be corrected
Ugghhh I hate it when the case is finally solved but the culprit is long gone! Although it's still a closure that the victim's family deserve.
I always watch cold case breakthrough videos because I am hoping one day I will see in one that the Boy in the Box will be identified and he will get his name back. For some reason that case haunts me and I want to see some movement on it. Thank you for making these videos.

Yes , she tends to hold back and talk more in her throat. I think its lack of confidence or being shy. She sounds much better. Her voice is pretty when she just lets it out. Im proud of her. She has a higher pitch now and its pretty.

In 1985 I lived in Wauchula FL. The next county over from Sarasota. I remember hearing about Denise’s murder. So great to hear it’s finally solved!!

Another case of a young man dying or disappearing after a night out with friends, last seen at or near a bar.
Authorities say it's just coincidence, and that they're usually drunk and disoriented, but there are sooo many of these cases
Henry Lee Lucas may have committed some murders but he was basically an attention seeker who wanted to claim credit way more murders that were attributed to himself.

I remember hearing about Darnell’s arrest on local news(I live in KCK). I have a friends uncle as well that new him, I think they were neighbors..? Either way he said that he was a strange person and tried to keep his distance from him. I guess he could feel that that Darnell wasn’t a good guy.

Please try and solve my uncles murder Jeff parkinson. Happened in tweed head in Australia. Suspected killer is Ashley coulston/the balaclava killer. All over Google. Please help its been nearly 40 years unsolved. His twin bro has died not knowing the truth and his older brother is now in his 70s. My dad is 61. I think they all deserve justice before it's to late xx
Solving these shouldn't just be left to a few detectives who have time to spend. We should set up and fund cold case departments in every state. For every guy who gets caught thru DNA now, there are hundreds who are getting away with it. And they dont stop commiting crimes unti they die.

The narrator and channel have always delivered high-quality case research and excellent scripts. Previously however the narrator's voice was unfortunately somehow tensed and distracting to listen to. But this time the voice was way more relaxed, and the listening experience was great. Awesome improvement!
