@@kotekei im starting to think i prefer the 80s japanese post-punk aesthetic to the old school visual kei. the pp style had more black plain clothes and less makeup, but had a similar sound, even tho it was slower. heres a good example watch?v=__QV95C4xjY this is a pretty obscure jp post punk band that only made a few songs. theres a bunch of post punk/goth 80s stuff from japan and a lot of those 80s bands stopped before vk took off in the mainstream like shoujo ningyou, kokushoku elegy, early gilles de rais, etc. ive been trying to find a visual style as a taller pale male and i think its somewhere inbetween.
