Starscream is so popular that he has his own tv/movie troupe called "The Starscream" and it makes sense as his personality is just so beloved and remembered by all
Indeed he does, some how no one else in the Transformers gets one but him.
@@PerspectiveEnd because he's the most iconic traitorous underling of them all
@@PerspectiveEnd wazzpinatorrr
@@PerspectiveEnd i think i remember the "Kid-Appeal Character" trope on TV tropes formerly being called "The Bumblebee" though
"Masterpiece Starscream has fallen , i deformation space i am the best of the masterpiece style seekers Decepticons follow me"
That actually put a huge smile on my face, and I could hear it in my head.
@@PerspectiveEnd thank you hope it was funny
Yeah, in my opinion anyway, is the best G1 Starscream figure we've ever gotten. Even tho I like the paint aps and the accessories on MP-52 More, otherwise, I think this thing is better. Great review.
Thank you very much, and yeah the accessories are a bit of a let down on this.
i can't believe that this figure exists, it looks incredible
just kinda wish he had the masterpiece's pog face
And why do you want that one?
@@PerspectiveEnd looks funny+could be passed off as a yelling/shocked/fearful face
@@PerspectiveEnd Because POG.
Now this figure deserves the title of MASTERPIECE!!!
@A guy with an anime Profile Pic Because I can y e s
The title Masterpiece isn't good enough for this figure.
MASTERPIECE REQUIEM
hahaha, that Starscream face looking out the cockpit. Awesome.
I love this figure so much. Good tips on the sanding down and opening the cockpit first for transforming
Yeah the cockpit really helps, there was another video I saw by a Chines youtuber who did this trick with the arms to get them to open up, but I haven't been able to replicate it so I just stick to the cockpit.
THANK YOU for finally being the one to call out HasTak's shills for overusing the "muh budget" excuse. I'm glad you liked this figure and i agree it's the definitive Starscream as it is, the transformation can be troublesome, but more people that have the figure in hand said that messing more and more with it, it's far more enjoyable that more than meets the eye.
Yeah it's way more enjoyable now, but it's still a hassle, and it still needs more clearance.
And no problem. Every time I say something about how cheap something is people try to defend it with budget.
Love this figure. Got it a few days ago, and while I personally have no interest in transforming it, the robot is SO GOOD. I got the new MP as a gift and this thing just FEELS so much better. Like, I’m not sure I’ve seen a third party figure that feels this good in hand. The plastic they used just feels really nice. This figure and the Cyberfactory Star Storm (3P BB movie Starscream) have been two of my most anticipated figures this year.
Yeah, this feels nice like little else I've ever handled. It's just got something to it.
I knew you were going to love this bot. Its why I offered to send you my copy because it's just simply perfect (and even if you broke it, $140 AGAIN would be better than MP-52 in my book). You didn't mention it but when I received my copy it was 90+ degrees outside...the SMELL when I opened this beauty up was GLORIOUS. Exactly the right, look, feel and smell of childhood to make me 11 years old again. Thanks to DS or TE or the Quints, I don't care who made it. Great video again!
The smell on it was very unique, it didn't remind me of old stuff I got when I was younger but it did remind me of something.
And yeah, you can get 2 of these for one MP3.0. Stupid.
Just got this guy while he’s on sale, can’t wait to transform this guy. Awesome review.
Nice! I think you will enjoy it. Don't let your first impression of the Transformation taint it. It's had to get the hang of but once you do it's a lot better than you'd think. And don't force the wings to flip around, if you do it in the right order you should have plenty of clearance for them they just need to angle out at a 45.
@@PerspectiveEnd thanks
Having the Masterpiece in hand and the transformation is smooth and fun.
Now that I'm used to this one, I tend to say the same things about Crimson Wing.
DS Starscream: This is brilliant
Siege Starscream: But I like this
That's fine. I mean if you don't pick up MPs this won't be for you.
Awesome! You're now like one of the first 3 English reviews of this figure that I can find on TH-cam.
Sometimes when I see 3rd party figures that are so good and released so close to an official masterpiece, I fear it might cause Hastak to get jealous and would take legal action.
"Hastak"
I did find that I was being kind of timely with this one. Hopefully it leads to views from people who've never seen me before.
Man this definitely best starscream on the market. This might be my first 3rd party, definitely getting this for Christmas
If you don't Have an MP Soudnwave I highly recommend that, and a Magic Square light of Freedom. Those are some of the MPs/3Ps I think everyone should try.
Great review perspective! Loving these random reviews! Keep up the good work as always man!
Have I not been doing Random Reviews before?
@@PerspectiveEnd Yeah you have, but it's nice to get them more often!
@@BurntTM I've not changed the rate at which I do them?
@@PerspectiveEnd I don't know what I'm doing anymore lol. You do a good job nonetheless.
You call this a masterpiece? This is bad....ass! That looks amazing.
Masterpiece isn't good enough for this.
It's a gem, a showpiece, according to google.
this was the first video of you're i watched and i am so glad i found this
I'm glad you did as well.
Gonna use a quote from the bay movies for this one
"Why do the decepticons always get the good shit"
They do, they do get the best shit.
2:30 I think what they were trying to do with the fo-forming on the MP Starscream was so that he had a smoother appearing chest, but as long as everything tabs in well and holds together, we don’t need a fo-forming piece. For the MP Starscream, all it does is make the figure more expensive wasted plastic on an area that it was no needed in. Sure it looks really smooth, but it also affects the alt mode and the magic of the transformation since the cockpit chest we see doesn’t become the cockpit. It’s just covered up with more plastic parts.
Also it causes his chest to stick out further which I think is really ugly. It wasn't necessary and Deformation Space/TE understood that.
no way this man said a figure with a horrible transformation is perfect
I have handled EXTREMELY worse. Jobby just didn't know what he was doing.
@@PerspectiveEnd jobby has patience bruh. id like to see you handle hazlab unicron or mp44
Wtf it looks like his transformation is harder and longer than New Age Soundwave (mista) AND THAT IS A MOVIE DESIGN, THE HECK ?!
to make it look good it had to be that way
@@UndeadAhead yeah somehow
It's not as bad as it looks, the problem is just the narrow areas you have to get things to move in. It's all very memorable and logical, it's just... Tight.
It looks longer than it is because I sped this up about a third of what I normally do.
@@PerspectiveEnd ok
Lmao i just found a great reviewer ,your a natural comedian,i was laughing the whole time ,awesome man!
Thank you very much, glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. Hope I can keep up the entertainment.
god that break in the cockpit when you swivel the waist. I cant man. you know as well as i do they couldve avoided that. kills the look completely
I don't see how they could have gotten that to work considering its down in his crotch. If you don't like the look of that, you don't have to use it, the other Starscreams don't have a waist swivel so what do you lose by going with this one that poses better in general and looks better?
Glad to see you got this, and reviewed it. Ordered mine last week. Can't wait for him to come in!
It's very good you should be quite happy with it.
Jobby probably has nightmares about this guy's transformation
It's really not that bad, Jobby was just having a brain issue.
Dam I love how this guy looks, my favorite part has to be the paint looks really matte to me
I like both Gloss and Matt paints, so either or works for me. But boy oh boy does he look good.
0:01 “What is the Lighting doing to Soundwave?”
Judging by the colors, it’s clearly trying to turn him into Soundblaster.
It's not just me right? He looks SUPER weird.
Great review mate!
Thank you very much.
Pog
Much better than the masterpiece
One face smiling because megatron isnt strangling him haha
A neutral because Megatron isn't Strangling him, a Happy Megatron isn't Strangling him, and a Smug because Megatron isn't Strangling him...
He needs a Damn Getting Strangled face!
@@PerspectiveEnd also a sad hes not getting strangled i think he loves that stuff
Because of how many times he made megatron do it to him
@@PerspectiveEnd yea then you can make a scene where hes getting strangled
Which im guessing will happen alot
Newage starscream does everything you want as well.
I do have one, and yeah it definitely does avoid the normal pit falls.
All hail our melanin blessed Seeker
Brownscream is officially canon
Wut?
@ We all Scream for Brownscream
This guy is a fantastic representation of Starscream. Wouldn't reel too bad about scraping the armpit in the transformation, seems like every reviewer has done it so far.
Yeah, but there is actually a way to avoid it, you just have to do it at the right time.
Do you think starscream is more or less evil than megatron. And more importantly should he be more or less evil
I think Starscream is only less Evil than Megatron, because he has less opportunity to be evil, since he isn't in charge of everything.
He and Megatron are probably exactly as likely to execute people, Megatron out of Brutality, and Starscream out of Pettyness.
An almost perfect figure for my almost perfect boi. May be my first third party figure.
It is quite good, just be prepared for a Doosey of a transformation.
I feel like the Ark would be okay having a windshield considering the transformers don’t really suffocate in space.
I suppose yeah if it breaks they will be fine.
@@PerspectiveEnd You might still need to visually see your surroundings (even though outer space is just... empty space, could be useful for launch/landing). Also a cracked windshield isn't a problem for giant space robots until you're going through a planet's atmosphere and the reentry heat makes that small crack into a major problem.
Deformation space takes the cake for making starscream accurate
Agreed.
the null rays sounded like a saxophone needed cork grease.
You aren't wrong.
YES, this is the one that will go with my soundwave and megatron
I think it deserves that position.
It dose
I think a super easy fix to the whole "Starscream Waist Swivel" debacle would be to just move the cockpit up OUT of the crotch. That way it doesn't break the sculpt, immersion, and accuracy when he does it, AND it gives him a waist swivel!
Because let's be honest, the G1 design shot itself in the foot with that aspect.
Or they could just have it swivel around that cockpit.
@@PerspectiveEnd You mean like having the cockpit be seperate from the rest of the nose cone folding into the chest and waist section?
That seems like it would work.
I sometimes feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care for toon-accurate Masterpieces, but even I look at this and think it's absolutely gorgeous. Great review! 👍
I'm not all about unrivaled toon accuracy. But I'm ok with it, I think most figures just need to hit the right notes.
@@PerspectiveEnd That's so true. Funny how I used to think MP11 was close to perfection back when it came out. Now I look at him and cry a little, lol. Here's hoping the nipple-fans make a return. 😁👍
Soundwave is still near perfect though.
@@PerspectiveEnd 100%
This has to be the longest I've seen you transform something. I don't know if the clip speed was slower than usual but Jesus. I will buy this at some point, but I don't think I'll ever transform him. At least he's the best LOOKING Starscream too.
I will say the transformation is better the more you do it, but this might be the longest I've let it run. There have been longer filming sessions on Transforming. Like MP Dinobot was like 18 minutes, and TE Optimus was like 20, but I had a lot more talking to do in the section so I didn't run it so fast.
Those would have been anywhere from 1600% Speed to 2000. But this was more 800.
@@PerspectiveEnd Oh ok. Why do I believe that that 3rd party Blitzwing would take even longer than TE from robot to jet?
Get ready for a bad explanation.
As many people have noticed, G1 Starscream had a noticeably Grayer face than Skywarp and Thundercracker. Some artists in the community who draw the characters as human, have Headcannoned Starscream as being darker skinned than the rest of the seekers and most other characters. Last year Takara collaborated with Kotobukiya to make human figurines of some of the most popular G1 characters as woman. Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker had nearly identical figures with only different colors and skin tone. Skywarp and Thundercracker had the same pale skin tone while Starscream’s figure had tan skin. Thus, Brownscream is canon.
I got the term from Gei4Mei don’t blame me
Plus I’m also brown
We all Scream for Brownscream!
I see. I always just chalked that up to an animation error.
When you say tan, does it look like a Tan or like he is supposed to be ethnically different than the other two? I know how Japan loves the some ganguro girls.
I was wondering when you’d do a DS Starscream video. I’m glad you really like it!
I’ve been really considering this, but I changed my mind to collecting some of the generations classics seekers for customizing my own Rainmakers with the KO/my own colors. Yes, I’m willing to take six 7/10s over one 8.75/10. Especially when I can express my own artistic vision with them!
Anyway. Great content as always man. Take care :)
I would not call this an 8.75, this is well over a full 9.
@@PerspectiveEnd I get that. I’m just being cautiously optimistic because there’s always room to improve!
Except for MP Soundwave. That one is 10/10
The fact thst earthrise and masterpiece use fake chests while studio series bayverse starscream and his masterpiece version using the actual front of the jet.
And that one would be way harder to do too.
@@PerspectiveEnd I know.
I am so glad i waited to buy Screamer myself. Once I saw this, i said, "oh yeah, thats the one." So i started saving. Then ShowZ put it on sale for $89 and i pulled that trigger so fast!! Even with a few minor issues, he is still my favorite MP Starscream on the market.
I've never heard "pewb on my pastry before”. That smug face of his is perfect though.
Pewb on a Coke can?
(Fun fact: “Pewb” autocorrected to “Peen”).
Well you are both wrong because it's Pube, and yeah I think I kind of came up with that. I swear I've heard something like it before, but for the life of me I can't find the source, or anything like it.
In the FIRST EPISODE when sound wave came in HE SWIVELED HIS WAIST
Do you have a time stamp?
5 minutes
I’m a person who doesn’t think a seeker needs waist rotation but still cool they did it as bad as it does look
I don't think it looks that bad.
Finally another review for stars-cream
The Cream of the Stars deserves more videos.
Shattered glass Megatron and Starscream both arrived today which was a surprise to be sure since they weren't meant to arrive till Wednesday. Sadly I missed the delivery truck so I have to wait till tomorrow to pick them up. I has so surprised that they both came at the same time as they were shipped a couple days apart and the Megatron just decided to ship suddenly. Not gonna complain though and now I have 3 of the shattered glass collection with all of the others ordered including the generations selects 2 pack with Ratchet and Optimus. Mainline Shattered Glass figures checked off the list. Hope yours arrive very soon!!!!!
p.s. I sadly won't get the comics as they were a Hasbro Pulse exclusive and I bought them from a somewhat local pop culture store.
Thats unfortunate, but you can get the comics other ways id you do want them.
I feel that the MP's legs are too short. The legs on this, on the other hand look great!
Well then this is all pro for you.
I think a good way to make a non faux-forming nose cone is to have the skirt/front of waist fold open to reveal part of the nose cone and have the tip (which wouldn’t be exposed in robot mode) come out of the rest of the nose cone (maybe on a track that makes it so that the font/tip of the nose one can be pulled out /slide out of the rest of the nose cone)
That could work but I don't think it would be too hard to just make it fold away.
@@PerspectiveEnd well instead it could fold onto the sides of the waist
Not sure if starscream ever moved his waist but pretty sure I saw thundercracker do it whilst watching a fraternacons video. Everyone who says starscream shouldn't have a waste swivel obviously doesn't want a thundercracker that can turn to look at his dog without moving a limb
That's an interesting point, are people paying attention to the Seekers in General.
Pretty sure most of it is look at my shrine of skywarps and I bet you my my favourite is in less frames of animation than your favourite. Probably wrong though
Robot mode is gold and holy I would love to pretend to fly with that jet mode
Yeah it's so damn good it's crazy.
I find it so genius that this hid til after MP-52 released with weak knees just to flex on Takara.
I don't know if they waited, it might be more that they rushed it out because they didn't want people to buy up the MP and then not want this.
Huh, I was worried about a waist swiveling Starscream cause it could ruin the cockpit, but this really knows how to work around it. Such a simple solution to solve it and yet no one else has done it, how is it this hard for officials to think of this?
Yeah it's not a real problem, I don't know how on one could pull this off before. It's dumb, and this is not like the only way it could be done.
Bruh, having faux parts isn't always being lazy. Takara isn't stupid for using one. Remember, the main goal of masterpiece figures nowadays is screen accuracy. Plus, MP-52's alt-mode cockpit ends up underneath the robot mode cockpit anyway. It's kind of like a make-pretend shape-shifting.
Other examples of figures that use the same scheme are SS Offroad Bumblebee and SS86 Hot Rod. You don't see the alt-mode parts but they end up covering where they should be in robot mode (in their cases, the chest)
Also I've never heard anyone saying having a waist swivel is a negative thing smh
Hence why I did say that they are doing it just because they think it adds value for some reason, but most of the time fauxforming is done to stop the need to movie a part of the altmode to a difficult place.
And yeah that's a thing that's going around right now. I probably hear about it more than the average person because I have a channel where I talk about these things, and people like to either disagree or tell me stuff they've heard.
But there are people trying to argue that Starscream should not have a waist swivel because he didn't have one in the show.
7:27 now swivel man can rest easy
How did I get this out before Jobby?
The whole budget thing only really works I say in retail figures because they obviously only put so much into certain size classes so that they can offset the cost of the materials they use to make the toys. Because if they sold the toys lower or equal to the cost of materials used to make the toys then they'd be losing money. That still though doesn't exactly excuse them from dumb design decisions. Or using cheaper plastic on a figure but still selling it at a higher price.
They also put them at a certain price point for regular joe-shmoes can easily afford. Because not everyone is a hardcore Transformers fan who has enough disposable income to pay on expensive figures on the regular. Aka they want them to be affordable to any new fans that might buy them. That doesn't mean I agree with everything they price their figures at. Especially the higher-end ones. I supported the Haslab Victory Saber because I want to show Hasbro we want more Japanese characters over here, but nothing about it screams $180. Star Saber could have easily been a commander and Victory Leo a leader.
The budget argument though doesn't work with lines like Masterpiece given that they're aimed at collectors and Japan pretty much can put more effort into certain toys and price them however they want with no limitations. Not like how Hasbro does it with how they limit how much can go into a certain size class. Hell the reason TF Prime Breakdown never came to the US was that Hasbro couldn't fit it into a size class price range. He was too big for a deluxe but was too small for a voyager. They could have had him be his own price but as we've seen Hasbro doesn't like to do that.
Though Takara really only cranks up the price because they find the need to paint every single piece to make it look premium to the Japanese audience.
See my problem is that the Budgets on Generations figures are often set Excessively low. 25% is an INCREDIBLY healthy profit, most products of any time make less that 14% profit, but I'd be willing to bet that most Hasbro figures are currently pulling closer to 50% profits.
And yes Star Saber could have easily been half it's cost, Hasbro is getting really greedy. I think it's cause their Gaming division is pulling in so much money, they think they should be making more with every aspect of the company.,
Nowadays they'd have NO compunctions of putting Breakdown in the Voyager price point, or even leader.
Agree man, real cockpit for chest and waist swivel where the official MP52 doesn't have that, make this thing looks like the original one. The only thing i complaining is his accesories aren't as interesting as mp52 including his face options. But at least he's not overpriced
Yeah. Here's hoping they release like face DLC for this guy where we can buy more expressions.
Really look forward to deformation space's blaster. But god knows how long it will take to come out I hope they don't lost themselves in the finite repaints
It took me around an hour to transform from robot to jet, and 20 minutes in I pulled up a video to help. Still though, it’s a sick figure. I wish the nose cone had a blue highlight and that’s my only complaint.
It took me probably 3 the first time, but then on Camera it only took me 10 minutes. So Once you get used to it after doing it a few times, it can go nice and quick.
Hell with the camera in my way that should have taken an Eternity.
7:34 it’s a freakin’ lie!!!!! He and his fellow Seekers, such as Skywarp, can and have swiveled at the waist in the cartoon.
I think so too, but I can't think of any particular scene that proves it.
@@PerspectiveEnd I distinctly remember Skywarp doing it, but the episode name escapes me at the current moment. I’ll be sure to get back to you on that though.
Unless fanstoys came along and gave us a screamy boi, this is as close as we'll get to perfection, mine should be coming in the mail very soon!
Fanstoys won't be better. The Transformation would be even less fun, and the Poseability would be way worse.
They skate bye on looks alone, and how is what they do going to be better looking than this.
@@PerspectiveEnd True, it would probably be more tedious with a transformation, though from what I've seen with those figures, they're perfect with the look and presence, they have shine, gloss, and other things to give them a very premium look. Sovereign is a great example, that Galvatron looks majestic
Spaghettification I believe what jobbythehong said about this figure
It's not that Spaghetti honestly, there are some parts that maybe Approach Spaghetti engineering but they don't quite reach.
In my opinion you are by far the best transformers reviewer on the site. We may not share the same opinion on partsforming, but every review you do is made with attention to detail, a stellar script, and brutal honesty. Don't get me wrong, I totally respect the old legends like emgo, but all of his reviews feel about as mechanical as a geartrain lubricated with molasses, and don't have the same level of enthusiasm. I found your Takara Dai Atlas review which saved me from buying the figure and have been hooked ever since.
I am happy to hear that both you enjoy my stuff and that I already saved you money, as that's one of my number one concerns. Making sure people only spend money on the best of the best.
Thank you for your kind words, I'm proud you think that of me.
And yeah, Scripting is incredibly important, that's the problem a lot of people fall into. If you don't script your videos end up way too long and not focused enough.
Great review man!
Thank you very much.
I’ve had my eye on this one. I have zero starscreams in my collection.
The only one I had for the longest time was the ER... EW... and then I got the Kingdom, which doesn't fill the slot.
This is a great masterpiece like figure.
It really is.
Imagine me throwing a rock at the arks windshield and the auto bots panicking
*safelite repair safelite replace*
Why would they even care, they can survive a Vacuum.
@@PerspectiveEnd wait they can. Were gonna have to blow
The visible face syndrome and perhaps the wing flaps from behind could be improved, but I agree, this one looks really good.
Honestly I didn't realize the face was there until I messed around with the jet mode for several hours so it's not the most apparent thing.
I'm glad people like this, but me personally, I still like the mp 3.0 more for a few reason. I like the accessories and don't mind foe-forming, and I like transforming my figures, and this figure's transformation suuuuuuuuuucks
I don't actually think this transformation is that bad. I actually like it, it just takes some getting used to to figure out the order of operations, and once you do it's pretty doable.
@@PerspectiveEnd every time I see people do it all I see are clearance issues and it looking moments away from breaking despite (I'm hoping) being made from solid materials
can't believe this figure was released so soon after mp-52, though i do like some aspects of that figure, this will definitely be the favourite for a lot of people
I think that's why it's going under the name of Deformation Space, they don't want Hasbro to come after them, and they don't want people buying up Hasbro's inferior product first.
pretty sure its called crimson wing. looks great
I think you are right, but I did say "Or what ever the hell they are calling this thing. "
It looks amazing
It is very lovely.
G1 Starscream is my favorite character in all of Transformers. If they can redo Volkswagen Bumblebee they can redo 86 Starscream!!!
I swear they better at some point.
my biggest problem with this figure is just why the cockpit needed to rotate for the transformation, that thing is a bitch to do since I always fear something might break. CW is near perfect with a transformation that I fear things might break, I don't mind complex transformations as long as it's not the type that tries to make a shell out of many panels where any slight movement will cause the panels to not line up, but this one's problem is clearance issues rather than complexity of transformation
I can say I've not broken mine, and I expect that you haven't done yours so while I get the fear, it may be unfounded, especially since I've never seen anyone else mention the issue.
@@PerspectiveEnd I did transform mine twice, it's the same problem Jobby had with the cockpit in his video
500. AUD for the official Takara , and 250 for the DF Crimson . Hmm it's a tough choice 😉
Oh, so completely mind rending of one. How does one choose?
Perfection
Indeed.
Imma be real with ya I agree that he should have a waist swivel, but it’s so fucking goofy looking. If he actually swiveled his waist his cockpit literally fucking shatters, so from a logistical standpoint it makes sense why he doesn’t usually have one lmao.
I do feel like it would be possible to have the swivel leave the cockpit intact. Like it should swivel with that as the central pivot.
Man I just got up why are you giving me cursed scream

@@PerspectiveEnd I was trying to make a music reference but go off
It is a good day to be a Starscream
It is indeed.
Do you ever think your gods (MMC) could ever make a better Starscream?
Also, I’ve been using the thumbnail and video as a reference to draw Starscream’s face. Not to brag, but I’ve gotten pretty good at it.
You know this figure looks pretty cool now we just need a Megatron to have a perfect set of the big three.
Yeah we do need a new Megs. the official MP aint it Chief.
A 2.0 version of the figure which fixes the flaws and we have the perfect Starscream. Why won’t Hasbro put in this effort
Honestly the flaws aren't even that bad. A difficult transformation that is OK once you learn the Mandatory Order of Operations and slightly too few accessories? That's pretty tolerable.
@@PerspectiveEnd The transformation is perfectly fine. The paint and leg size is all that holds this figure back from being perfect. It’s not necessary for sure, but if you’re so close to perfection, why not go the extra mile?
I’m content with my g1 starscream being the coronation starscream because I love that figure but now I need a bayverse starscream
I'm glad you like that thing a lot more like me.
@@PerspectiveEnd 😊
As for Soundwave, it's a definitely easy to recommend figure...as long as it's *_NOT_* the Hasbro Year of the Goat Soundwave and his Minions...whoever thought predominantly clear plastic was a good idea should've been fired on the spot.
Anyway, I'm still pretty adamant about hunting down the Yes Model MP11 mold KOs (they've already reissued the Starscream KO, hoping they reissue Thundercracker and Skywarp), but the more I see about DS01, the more I like it.
The face, though...it really should be darker than Thundercracker and Skywarp - they had the plain gray faces while Starscream typically had a darker face that matched his head. I will agree that he doesn't seem complete without a screaming face.
What was even the idea for that. Why did they come up with that?
Why do you want that so bad?
I don't agree with that. I don't know how people think that. Starscream had a light colored face? Look at this. It's pretty light.

I found all 3 DS seekers (with the upgrade kits) at a toy show for $270 TOTAL!!!
What's funny is that's almost kind of expensive for them. Still an amazing deal compared to other seekers, but they keep reissuing these things for 60 bucks a pop... I have NOOOOOO idea how they are making money doing that. I swear it has to be a tax scheme.
Third parties transformers figures are starting to be better than even the official’s masterpiece
I think they've been better for a good while, I mean look at the 3.0 Optimus, Magic Square was better than that before it came out.

The only problem I have is the clear cockpit I prefer the non see through yellow but either than that this guy is a perfect fiigure
I can see why you feel that way, but yeah it's a minor issue.
Finally an earth mode G1 starscream that’s actually good! It only took 37 years! Shame I don’t collect MPs anymore thanks to takara destroying any love I once had for the line, making me sell them all off, but this is sooo cool looking, I may just have to pull the trigger. Though the surfaces are too smooth for my taste, I get it, cartoon accuracy, but It just looks so boring. If I ran what’s the best, you could be sure any figure with surface detail gets massive points. Also I Picked up the worlds collide box today, and I can see what you mean by these being made of the garbage scraped off the floor. despite that, I think they’re all pretty good, except fangry who is hot garbage and sits in a special trash can with the Daniel that came with 86 slag
Yeah they just feel bad, you hands hate touching them.
And yeah the smoothness I do find a bit weird. MP Soundwave with just a bit of Surface detailing does look better to my eye.
Also not sure about Starscream, but I’m pretty damn sure Skywarp and Thundercracker both bend at the waist in the season 1 theme song
I here is the scene where Skywarp throws Jazz.
Great video and I’m not even a fan of starscream also have you ever thought of getting a unique toys figure sure I know your hatred for the movie’s but people enjoy those figures and have satisfying transformations but your only way of getting one is to buy a knock off hope you have a good day and let’s hope you get 10k this year
I can not say that I have. I understand that they have really good transformations and all that, but I just can not bring my self to want them when I despise the way they look.
Dear God This Transformation tho…..
It's not anywhere near as bad as other's I've handled.
I feel like the new masterpiece starscream isn't that bad when you look at the figure in general, it is a good looking figure just lacking a waist swivel and a few other things. But my opinion changed when i saw the freaking price on this thing. TAKARA. YOU DONT NEED TO CHARGE US THIS MUCH FOR A FIGURE. I also agree with you saying that there isn't a plastic shortage. That's just crap from HasTak just to make money. Still a decent figure, but there are better ones on the market for better prices.
Well there might be a shortage now with all the crap going on with the world Oil supply in the last two months or so.
But yes they easily could have made the MP for so much cheaper. They just charge that because you will pay it nerd! Or so they think.
@@PerspectiveEnd By the way, congrats on 7k subs! Really love what you do and you motivate me to at least try to make videos on my own. Keep up the great work
I would also like to point out that i love that you read all of your comments. Especially when you have so many subscribers and you are so beloved. I truly appreciate you taking the time to make sure you read every comment. even when you made this video seven months ago
i might get this figure for my collection (even though for the kind of collection i have it should be a bit smaller) and the price is actually affordable. I still think that the g1 seeker body type doesn't really need a waist swivel but hey the figure looks good so i don't care that much and i hope deformation space will do repaints of this one. Seriously there are so many seekers that i would like to get this treatment and there are ways they could use to diversify them from the standard version of the mold. For example Hotlink could have a an arm cannon (a flamethrower basically) and a visor, Bitstream instead of having the normal null rays could have a rifle like in his very brief first appearence, Nacelle could have Thrust's wings like in his Botcon toy. The rainmakers, like in the cartoon, could be monocolor but with a pattern on the wings that gives them some personality for example Nova Storm could have flames and Ion Storm could have lightnings. Oh and a Slipstream remold with a new head and the turbines from the Legends toy could be nice too. Red Wing would be nice too
I think it's inevitable that this will get repaints, but I don't think they will be able to do the cone heads with it. The transformation just isn't set up for it.
@@PerspectiveEnd oh the coneheads i think will need a different mold. Still, i would like some more obscure repaints
Sold my Mp52 for this....its an awesome figure.
That sounds like the correct but painful choice.
