- Mizzou improves to 5-0 for the 3rd straight season, and in the process ends a 15-game losing streak in Lincoln to the Cornhuskers. The 52-17 victory is the worst loss at home to Mizzou for Nebraska since the 1950's and is one of the most lopsided home losses for Nebraksa in their history.

The infamous game where Ndamakong Suh got so mad that he spit on Chase Daniel. Mizzou was throwing back ups in halfway through the third quarter or they could have easily hung 80 on them. Gotta love it!
The sweetest victories are crushing the Nebraska Cornhuskers. They are so last century.

As much as I liked seeing Nebraska being whupped on, I kinda want the matchup each year to be very competitive. Good luck in the upcoming years, Nebraska. I have a feeling you'll need it. :P

Actually Nebraska along with other D1 teams have 85 scholarships. Pelini brought back the walk on program, so add about 50 walk ons, which brings the total number of players to 135.
All I can say it Missouri needs to admit in those 30 years Nebraska made them a better team. I'm hoping to see someone in the Big XII win the National Championship in '08. I'm rooting for Missouri or Oklahoma. It would be totally cool if it's Missouri because it would be their 1st. Chase Daniel could take you guys all the way. Nebraska should make it more of a game in the future than it was 10/4.

i agree, i think mizzou will consistently challenge nebraska for the big 12 north, and from now until who knows when they will probably go one two. i dont think kansas will amount to much more than a tough, just-above average team once reesing, meier and briscoe are out of there.
ouch that hurts man lol good one. nebraska is on their way back. maybe not like they were in the 90s (there is too much parity nowadays for that) but dont expect to ever blow out nebraska as long as pelini is there.
6-8 long years? newsflash: the huskers have more speed than anyone realized, the blackshirts are back in pelini's second season (11th nationally in total defense, 2nd nationally in scoring defense and passing efficiency defense), and now all he has to do is figure out that crap of an offense. do that successfully, and we have a BCS caliber team.
eerie it is...what a ride to end a year of ups and downs! have a good one...hopefully another shot at TX down the lane.

the score was 52-10 in the third quarter, that has got to hurt real bad, and its not like nebraska was a bad team, a good record, they won their bowl game, but still it was 52-10 in the third quarter in lincoln, ouch!!!
Man, I thought Mizzou was unstoppable after this game. Too bad the very next week set the pace for the rest of their season.

Actually the first ranked team we played this year was Illinois. WE beat them.
Jeremy Maclin ended that game less than 1 minute after it started.

Game was the night before my 50th B~day. I was at Columbia the last time we won AT Nebraska (why the hell did they ever get rid of Warren Powers). The Tigers are SO dominating offensively, but have to get the defense tightened up or there won't be a Big 12 Title much less National Championship!!!

alright, i will keep thinking that. i hope for your sake that gabbert is better than landry jones. and hes obviously not that great yet because of his numbers against nebraska, although i attribute much of that to pelini's expertise defense. and mizzou is very young but you could make an argument for nebraska as well (lots of freshmen at receiver and linebacker, true freshman QB part of the time, lots of young guys in the secondary). these two teams will be very strong in a couple years.

1. Nebraska fans: focus on ur team, not ours because u still lost to texas tech on saturday .
2. OSU is a good team. They are just underrated. They deserved the win because they played well in a hostile environment.
3. Mizzou is still top 25, nebraska is not...

Mizzou had their chance, Nebraska redshirted 50 players last season. just wait until 2 years from now when Nebraska finally has depth.
oh we are huh? 27-12 is all i have to say. just a little advice--next time, dont talk until AFTER the game (assuming you win) so you avoid embarrassment.
if mizzou played a complete game, they probably would have won. but it goes for nebraska too. if they would have actually moved the ball in the first 3 quarters, it wouldnt have been so wild in the 4th. both teams played a pretty ugly game to be honest, but nebraska was the better team because they came out with a win. thats the bottom line. you cant argue a straight up win. same with nebraska's loss to VT, NU should be 5-0 but VT finished the game and NU didnt. so VT is the better team.
are you sure you weren't referring to the NU defense? It must be hard on you getting your ass kicked 3 years in a row. The funny part is not one of those games was close.
Maybe in 3 years Pelini will have a team that can attempt to stop Mizzou.

yeah, that is really good sportsmanship. hopefully a texas longhorn fan said the same thing to you (56-31)... you deserve it. but, in your defense, i supposed you had all that pent up craptalking to do since missouri loses to NU a lot more than the other way around (all time record is 63-36 in favor of NU).
We are not Oklahoma State (47,000 capacity). We are not Nebraska where we have the history. Since 1998, when we started turning the program around, we have had usually near sellouts. By the way, our stadium holds 68,000+. Sorry that's not the only thing to do in our state. Your "best fans in the country" looked a lot like bleachers to me by the 4th quarter.

Who cares if Daniel wins the Heisman? Just being mentioned is good publicity for the program. The Tigers have a good as chance as any team besides NU considering they have no chance in hell.

I guarantee that you cared, and agonized for the 25 straight years of losses to us, as well as the 30 years of losses in Lincoln. And I know which side I'd rather be on during those streaks. God I love this game. And I love seeing the utter dismay on the faces of the Husker fans. What sore losers they are--I know, I used to live in Nebraska. They lack all class. They cheer when opponent's players get hurt. I can't stand them. Go MU!
