You can only do calls with a SIM in the phone. It does not support Bluetooth calling from your cell phone. Yes, I made calls with a T-Mobile SIM in it. It worked fine, but, as with all these watches, the volume isn't really loud (it's not like a phone's speakerphone).

They are really close, so you need to compare on the differences and see if you prefer one over the other. The Kospet Prime has better battery life, but the T5P has an always on Ambient watch mode.
Are tempered glass screen protectors available for these watches? I'd be afarid of walking aroudn with something like this & have it be cracked. (I learnt my lesson the 1st time this happened with my Zenwatch 2, & always buy a screen protector for my smartwatches now).

About camera brightness issue. Is it just your camera settings is not able to catch the display in camera mode or it is also in real life that you almost cant see what photo you are making? Do you think that they will fix it ? Thanks again for answer?
It is totally an issue of my camera not being able to capture and balance the image. The watch is forced into maximum brightness for camera mode, then returns to regular setting. I need to turn the brightness way down on these watches for my video camera to not wash out. So the picture on the watch looks fine. Nice and bright and balanced. Thanks for asking. I forget to clarify this in the video.

Yes, you can pair Bluetooth earphones to it and that's a much better way to take calls. I haven't checked out the fitness more than a quick demo that it is there and whether or not it is integrated with GPS. Full testing is a bit beyond a basic unboxing and first look video.
Yep, and Spotify, Pandora, even streaming your own music library if you moved it from Google Music to TH-cam music! Of course, you can load a ton of you music directly into the watch and play it through your buds with no Internet connection. This is true for ALL Android smartwatches. Apple? Samsung? Most of the newer Android smartwatches with removable bands are splash proof, but not suited for actually sticking underwater. You need an actual SIM. It doesn't support eSim or Bluetooth tethering to your phone. Only earlier Android 5.1 watches have the capability to use your phone for calls and answer/talk through your watch PLUS be able to use a SIM.
Among these two I would choose the 5 pro for its dual camera, but the best watch yet probably is the kospet prime, it has a 1260mAh battery and 2 cameras with a flat chin less big display

No you can't do Bluetooth calling from Android 7 smartwatches. You need Android 5.1 versions for that. Take a look at the review of the LEMFO LEM4 to see what the app looks like and how it works.
As i see in the video, it dropped from 73 to 65% in about 20 minutes with a normal usage. I would say this hour battery will not last more than 5 hours of normal usage or up to 9 hours just checking the time and notifications which is unfortunately bad for such a nice watch

I really like my Android watches to always display something on the screen, preferably easy to read time, so I don't have to twist my wrist and wait to see the display. Sometimes when talking to somebody I need to sneak a peek at the time and not look like I'm being rude. A watch that's always on allows me to do that without movement as long as I can see the screen. For watchers that don't have that, I tru and force the screen to always on mode using the app Floating Toucher, but the battery life is really bad doing that. For that reason I'll always take an Android watch with Always On time mode over one without it. That said, the battery life is proving to be dismal for all watches with continuously visible displays. So the BEST watch just might be the Kospet Prime if and when they add an Always On display, because the battery is bigger and just might allow the watch to last a full work day without dying (average life of existing Always On display watches is around 5 hours or so). For now, the choice is hard. Kospet Prime can offer a couple of days use between charges with the screen mostly off except when using. Not what I'm personally looking for in an Android watch though, even if it lasted a month between charges. So do I prefer this or Kospet Prime? I prefer the T5P, but I'm not happy with the battery life. Ask me again this time next year which I prefer between the latest this and that. I hope to have a definitive answer then.

That is the WORST thing to do, even with a waterproof watch, because hot water creates steam which is a vapor that can get into the watch where actual water can't penetrate. Then the steam water vapor can condense back to water inside the watch. Because the watch is waterproof, there's no way for the inside water to get out, and the watch will eventually die from corrosion. Never ever shower with a watch.
Yes, you can. Swipe down and the page with lints of icons on it has one for twist wrist to show time. You should also be able to toggle it off in Settings.

Sorry to tell you, the Thor 5 and any Android 7.1.1 smartwatch can only support SIM calling, not Bluetooth calling tethered to your phone. It's a limitation of the updated Google OS. Older Android 5.1 and even some Android 6 watches could support it, but not the new ones. We're waiting to see how Bluetooth calling is handled on the next generation Android 10 watches due any day now.
Are you able to sync whatsapp from phone and reply/send message? I think that's the question people are more interested in. It takes time to setup and demo but that's the whole point of creating videos in youtube.
Yep, it's possible. Nope, I don't use WhatsApp. Yep, there are other channels that review these more esoteric features, and that's the whole point of watching TH-cam!
Why don't you do a video about it and also recommend WatchDroid on all of your setup videos? Wiiwatch is sooooo unreliable and buggy, while watchdroid is much better and has a great notification interface. Also, I am making some ambient display watch faces and am going to be working on a rom/kernel for all Android 7 watches with a specific focus on the Optimus Pro (because that is what I own)

What I'd really like to do is refer my viewers to other TH-camrs who post videos about WatchDroid and the amazing Universal Launcher, as well as the other things you are talking about. If you either make or find videos on these topics that are well done on TH-cam, please provide me the links so I can refer to them. Since WiiWatch2 is used as the recommended tethering app for all these Android smartwatches, I finally made a standalone video on just that app so now I can refer viewers to that video if they want to learn about WiiWatch2. I don't know enough about WatchDroid or Universal Launcher (or Nova launcher for that matter) to make a video. That's why I need the help of others like you to create TH-cam content. It's easy! Note: The strap of this watch cannot be removed, because there is an antenna on the strap. If you remove the strap, it will damage the antenna, Causing functions such as communication to be disabled?????
NOT TRUE! I carry a THOR 5 PRO in my pocket daily and everything works fine. Notice the quick release pins on the bands? The whole thing comes out, including the pins. ALL the other look-alike ones, the Janus, X360, X361 Pro, even Kospet Vision, do not have removable bands, and the pins are fixed in place for channeling the wires from the watch to the antennas in the bands. But the THOR 5 PRO is TOTALLY DIFFERENT and has fully removable bands. Sorry, but you're wrong about this MD MOOSA.
Splash proof but I wouldn't dunk it in water, though some people have occasionally and it has survived. Use your own judgement. I wouldn't buy it for swimming, that's for sure.
What about that "chin" on the screen? Usually, on a smartwatch, it's mean there's a light sensor. But I didn't see the automatic screen brightness setting during the video
Yes, there are other options. Just depends on whether you want an Android smartwatch capable of running most all apps that can run on your phone or go for a device restricted to the apps made for it.
For that we need a reply from the community as I don't wear these under conditions where I sweat heavily. The design of the underside of the band looks like it has channels to deflect sweat. Anybody have a comment on this?
Now in 2021, yes, but a few years ago we had 1.39 inch AMOLED screens on Android watches, which was great for smaller wrists. Have a look at the Android 5, 6, and Android 7.1.1 Playlists for some videos from that era. If you can find one on eBay or something, it may suit you better if you're looking for the 'smallest'.

@@goswami7275 I own the kospet hope and you cannot do data transfer with the 4 pin cable. It comes with a separate cable for data transfer that you have to attach to the slot where the sim card is located. I appreciate you answering but do you own the thor 5 pro and have tested it or are you just assuming?
@@strengthaddiction5841 I am aware of the problem, I thought that it had to do with two pins in the charging cable, nevermind But it's pretty safe to assume that the cable for the zeblaze Thor 5 will support data transfer Kospet didn't want users to be able to use data transfer so that they don't flash twrp, exposed etc or root their watches to mess them up, but this received a lot of negative reactions so they ditched the idea. Would be pretty stupid if zeblaze does the same thing

The outside two pins are the charging pins and the inside two are the data pins. If you know the polarity on those pins you can rig up a charger from a spare USB charging cable. There are some videos out there about this if you hunt around.

You probably need an overlay app for that. There's a volume control that floats on the screen like Display Brightness does for changing brightness on the fly. Check TinyURL.com/androidwatches for it.
In a few hours you will see a comparison of the THOR 5 PRO with the KOSPET PRIME and that will tell you more about the Thor watch. As for the I4, you need to watch that video again as it has been a long time ago and I don't remember much about it.

You can learn in general about doing that here: www.fullandroidwatch.org They do not support Zeblaze products so you would need to see how it is done for a different Android smartwatch and then use the same procedures for your THOR 5. One thing you will need is the current firmware to flash, and I don't know where you can get that. For factory data restore, that can be found in Settings on the watch. It will erase everything on your watch and restore it to the default settings, but if that doesn't fix your problem, you'll need to flash firmware.

Haha, with a glass of whine, too. Well after 9 hours overnight (yea, I slept in this morning), there's no screen artifacts visible when I activate the watch. I'm working on other projects today, but will leave the T5P on the charger with the ambient screen on and keep checking it every few hours. That triple tap of the Android number in Settings and then running the color test is how I'm checking each color plus white and black. If it's gonna burn I want to see it and show it so others will know.

Yes, of course. Put the watch on WiFi connect, open the Play Store App and login with your user name an password just like on a phone. Then search and install any regular phone apps you want to use on the watch. It really is a tiny Android phone, especially if you put in a SIM card and use it as a phone! Yes, if you're on AT&T or T-Mobile you can take the SIM from your phone and put it in your watch and leave your phone behind!

I have not brought one in for that exact reason. No, the Chinese version is limited to Chinese only. The Global version is supposed to be released in December. You may want to consider returning the one you have and ordering the Global one instead. I don't expect there will be an update to it since they are releasing an entirely different watch for International use.

Nope it doesn't. I know, doesn't make sense, but as Google upped the version of Android from 5 to 6 to 7, they made it more restrictive and as of 7 you can't do Bluetooth calling. Obviously your Gear S2 is not running Android, so Samsung can do whatever they want. So can Apple for that matter. Pure Android watches are limited by what Google allows, and when we went to Android 7.1.1 as the standard OS, we lost Bluetooth calling.
I've been searching for the right smart watch for me, I like this watch (dont really need nor want the cameras tho) and I like the tic watch pro 4G I cant seem to find anyone that shows the texting features on either watch, as that's 1 thing I'll use alot on the watch, for work I have to leave my phone in the truck and still want to communicate with my family
I don't do the text thing on these watches as it takes way too long to set up for a demo. Perhaps you can find some examples at the vendors' website directly to give you an idea. I would imagine if anyone would want you to see that aspect of the product it would be the folks that make it!
the music player skips a-lot with a slight movement. this makes the music player useless. can you help me with the manufactures email. or i will return before the return time expires.
I haven't heard of that before, but I don't use the music player so I don't know if that is a common problem or unique to your watch. The manufacturers want you to return to the place you buy, so I would recommend doing that before your return period expires.

As i see in the video, it dropped from 73 to 65% in about 20 minutes with a normal usage. I would say this hour battery will not last more than 5 hours of normal usage or up to 9 hours just checking the time and notifications which is unfortunately bad for such a nice watch

I really like my Android watches to always display something on the screen, preferably easy to read time, so I don't have to twist my wrist and wait to see the display. Sometimes when talking to somebody I need to sneak a peek at the time and not look like I'm being rude. A watch that's always on allows me to do that without movement as long as I can see the screen. For watchers that don't have that, I tru and force the screen to always on mode using the app Floating Toucher, but the battery life is really bad doing that. For that reason I'll always take an Android watch with Always On time mode over one without it. That said, the battery life is proving to be dismal for all watches with continuously visible displays. So the BEST watch just might be the Kospet Prime if and when they add an Always On display, because the battery is bigger and just might allow the watch to last a full work day without dying (average life of existing Always On display watches is around 5 hours or so). For now, the choice is hard. Kospet Prime can offer a couple of days use between charges with the screen mostly off except when using. Not what I'm personally looking for in an Android watch though, even if it lasted a month between charges. So do I prefer this or Kospet Prime? I prefer the T5P, but I'm not happy with the battery life. Ask me again this time next year which I prefer between the latest this and that. I hope to have a definitive answer then.

That is the WORST thing to do, even with a waterproof watch, because hot water creates steam which is a vapor that can get into the watch where actual water can't penetrate. Then the steam water vapor can condense back to water inside the watch. Because the watch is waterproof, there's no way for the inside water to get out, and the watch will eventually die from corrosion. Never ever shower with a watch.

Yes, you can. Swipe down and the page with lints of icons on it has one for twist wrist to show time. You should also be able to toggle it off in Settings.

Sorry to tell you, the Thor 5 and any Android 7.1.1 smartwatch can only support SIM calling, not Bluetooth calling tethered to your phone. It's a limitation of the updated Google OS. Older Android 5.1 and even some Android 6 watches could support it, but not the new ones. We're waiting to see how Bluetooth calling is handled on the next generation Android 10 watches due any day now.

Why don't you do a video about it and also recommend WatchDroid on all of your setup videos? Wiiwatch is sooooo unreliable and buggy, while watchdroid is much better and has a great notification interface. NOT TRUE! I carry a THOR 5 PRO in my pocket daily and everything works fine. Notice the quick release pins on the bands? The whole thing comes out, including the pins. ALL the other look-alike ones, the Janus, X360, X361 Pro, even Kospet Vision, do not have removable bands, and the pins are fixed in place for channeling the wires from the watch to the antennas in the bands. But the THOR 5 PRO is TOTALLY DIFFERENT and has fully removable bands. Sorry, but you're wrong about this MD MOOSA.

Splash proof but I wouldn't dunk it in water, though some people have occasionally and it has survived. Use your own judgement. I wouldn't buy it for swimming, that's for sure.

Now in 2021, yes, but a few years ago we had 1.39 inch AMOLED screens on Android watches, which was great for smaller wrists. Have a look at the Android 5, 6, and Android 7.1.1 Playlists for some videos from that era. If you can find one on eBay or something, it may suit you better if you're looking for the 'smallest'.

Yep, as it has 4 pins on the cable (unlike the kospet hope or brave, I don't remember)

It comes with a separate cable for data transfer that you have to attach to the slot where the sim card is located. Kospet didn't want users to be able to use data transfer so that they don't flash twrp, exposed etc or root their watches to mess them up, but this received a lot of negative reactions so they ditched the idea. Would be pretty stupid if zeblaze does the same thing
Also, the Thor 5 dual supports data transfer through cable, so it would not make sense to dumb it down in the pro version

The outside two pins are the charging pins and the inside two are the data pins. If you know the polarity on those pins you can rig up a charger from a spare USB charging cable. There are some videos out there about this if you hunt around.

They do not support Zeblaze products so you would need to see how it is done for a different Android smartwatch and then use the same procedures for your THOR 5. One thing you will need is the current firmware to flash, and I don't know where you can get that.
For factory data restore, that can be found in Settings on the watch. It will erase everything on your watch and restore it to the default settings, but if that doesn't fix your problem, you'll need to flash firmware.

Haha, with a glass of whine, too. Well after 9 hours overnight (yea, I slept in this morning), there's no screen artifacts visible when I activate the watch. I'm working on other projects today, but will leave the T5P on the charger with the ambient screen on and keep checking it every few hours. That triple tap of the Android number in Settings and then running the color test is how I'm checking each color plus white and black. If it's gonna burn I want to see it and show it so others will know.

Yes, of course. Put the watch on WiFi connect, open the Play Store App and login with your user name an password just like on a phone. Then search and install any regular phone apps you want to use on the watch. It really is a tiny Android phone, especially if you put in a SIM card and use it as a phone! Yes, if you're on AT&T or T-Mobile you can take the SIM from your phone and put it in your watch and leave your phone behind!

I have not brought one in for that exact reason. No, the Chinese version is limited to Chinese only. The Global version is supposed to be released in December. You may want to consider returning the one you have and ordering the Global one instead. I don't expect there will be an update to it since they are releasing an entirely different watch for International use.
I have the Samsung Gear S2 and I'm able to answer calls via Bluetooth, so what you're saying is this watch don't have that feature? Man, I hope it does. 😔
Nope it doesn't. I know, doesn't make sense, but as Google upped the version of Android from 5 to 6 to 7, they made it more restrictive and as of 7 you can't do Bluetooth calling. Obviously your Gear S2 is not running Android, so Samsung can do whatever they want. So can Apple for that matter. Pure Android watches are limited by what Google allows, and when we went to Android 7.1.1 as the standard OS, we lost Bluetooth calling.
I've been searching for the right smart watch for me, I like this watch (dont really need nor want the cameras tho) and I like the tic watch pro 4G

I don't do the text thing on these watches as it takes way too long to set up for a demo. Perhaps you can find some examples at the vendors' website directly to give you an idea. I would imagine if anyone would want you to see that aspect of the product it would be the folks that make it!

I haven't heard of that before, but I don't use the music player so I don't know if that is a common problem or unique to your watch. The manufacturers want you to return to the place you buy, so I would recommend doing that before your return period expires.
