I'm glad John Astin eventually ditched the goofy characters he played prior to Gomez Addams, a character that was truly the making of him. It's a shame _The Addams Family_ only lasted 2 seasons. I will never tire of the on screen romance between John and Carolyn Jones, but I will always feel robbed that the show was cancelled. John's moustache made him extraordinarily handsome and I'm glad to see he kept it for a few more years, even though each new character was reminiscent of Gomez Addams.
If you're ever reading this, I love you, John and thank you for bringing your version of Gomez to life. 😘❤️
I met John Astin once. My 18th birthday, my father took me to see him at the local theater in "Once Upon a Midnight". I was enthralled at his performance. Afterwards, we were in line to shake hands with him. He introduced himself to my father with "How are you tonight?" To which my father responded, "I'm feeling *much* better now." We all laughed and joked for the next 10 minutes. One of the kindest and most loving people I have ever met. I still have the autograph.
Every time Astin would show up in a show or movie, he always makes me smile. That distinctive voice, that manic grin. And his Gomez is always gonna be one of my greatest memories. But meeting him face to face, and talking with him as though he was family, that moment I will treasure.
He fills your heart bigger and more prolific than any *bit* player. You just gotta love the guy.
Oh yes, keep 'em coming. Excellent choice of subject, as usual.

Well I’ll get straight to the point: do you think you are a good person? You might have thought about it before, or you might have not. But your answer is probably yes. Now the rest of this might get personal, but remember, I can’t see-or hear you reading this, so don’t worry. Now let’s have a look at the Ten Commandments. You don’t have to believe in the Bible to take this quiz:
Have you ever stolen something? Yes no
Have you ever looked with lust? Yes no
Have you ever used the Lord/Jesus/Christ/God’s Name as a swear word? Yes no
Have you ever told a lie? Yes no
You probably answered Yes to, at least, two of those. There are six more. A bit of math would tell you that (10 divided by 2 =5) , out of the Ten Commandments, on average you probably answered Yes to five of them. Do you still think you are a good person? Now I’m doing this because I care about you. You could die at any moment. Your heart may stop right now. And I’d like to see all of you in Heaven. I don’t want you to go to…to...to...to…what was it again? Was it perhaps hell? We have all sinned. Nobody is perfect or worthy in God’s sight. In fact, the only way our sins could be forgiven, was if we offered sacrifices practically every day. We all sin every day. We look with lust, we lie, we blaspheme, we swear and we steal without giving it a second thought. Imagine all those sin and guilt offerings we would have to offer… but we don’t have to. Because God sent His one and only Son Jesus, to die for us on the cross as THE sin offering so that whoever BELIEVES in Him will be forgiven and have eternal life. He took all the sins that will ever be on Himself. He paid the price; i.e. He’s the Person who paid the fine for the stack of offences on the Judges(God’s) desk, so He could let you go. That is how great His Love and Mercy for you is. He has no reason to spare you, apart from His abounding Love and Mercy. You just have to accept His forgiveness, repent, get baptised and turn to Him. You have been warned. Do not reject Him.
