Early morning Angeles Crest run with the Porsche and BMW folks

- This past weekend was a beautiful time to get together with the Pcar crew to get the new year started off right. It was a glorious day with perfect weather.... the air was cold but the sun was warm. Angeles Crest is one of the most iconic roads in the world for car enthusiasts! Check out the run and let me know what you think!
Thanks to Wendy @runrwendy for organizing the entire drive. At the original meet up, approx 40 cars came out and that really made it a nice time to catch up with old faces and meet new ones.
If I wasn't shooting photos, video and setting up all the time, it would be nice to meet and talk with you guys but a man's got to grind.
We started off by taking the backroads which eventually lead to the main ACH road coming back down.
I had hours and hours worth of video but I cut it down as much as I could. Hopefully you guys don't fall asleep too bad when viewing it.
I am still learning!

Born and raised in La Canada. We used to "own" The Crest. My buddies and I knew every turn from the last house by the Country Club all the way to Necomb's. Late 70's/80's.

What a great turn out for a drive. Nice mix of P-cars. I am a big fan of Porsche, but the air cooled machines are where my heart is. That said, your GT3 is killer! Please keep shooting the p-car activities.

Subscribed! That looks like an awesome run up Angeles Crest. I go up there every now and again in my Civic but it is way under powered for the long sweeping corners. I much prefer Little Tujunga for lower powered cars. I'm working on my fun car fund now.
Most def. so many cars to have fun in. I’m looking for some smaller fun builds too

There’s an area called “La Canada” down there? Parts of canyon drive reminds me our of sea to sky Hwy( vancouver to whistler)👍

I worked as a surveyor on that sea to sky highway when I was a kid and also drove it and Angeles Crest as an adult. They are both great.
How can I join in on one of these? Been making a bunch of solo runs up ACH but have yet to run with this many cars! Seems so cool!

They should turn Angels Crest Highway or at least a long section of it into a toll road and have an unlimited speed limit so drivers can legally run it as fast as they want.

I see your driving the gt3 on all the videos. You had a 993 c2s and nsx in the garage. Did you trade out one? Great video....
FTLAUD 911 yea I actually switched my car at my buddy’s house. So you will more of the 993 lol. The Nsx has been having clutch issues. Follow my car account at @manleycarjournal. 👍🏼
Got a different combo but close - 997 gt3, 993 c4s, and e46 m3. My friends think I am nuts, but each one is great in a different way. Want to add a 964 c2 or 997 turbo next. Keep up the great work - your vids are awesome and getting better and better.
What camera did you use to not get wind noise when your accelerating? Sick video btw
Rode mic but i actually pulled sound from the gopro lol... but i did mix sounds from various parts. sound is tricky with loud exhausts lol
Would y’all say that Angeles crest is the west coast equivalent to the tail of the dragon on the east coast?
that is what ive heard but i cannot confirm as i have not driven on the tail of the dragon.
Would anyone be able to possibly provide a screen shot of the Map used and/or just give me the directions for the route with approx. miles at each turn. I am trying to organize an ACH run and have never taken this route!! thank you very much.
