Lifelong resident of 53years. Great video but you only scratched the surface. Come back and enjoy more as soon as you can, we enjoy people coming and taking in the natural beauty.
We absolutely loved the nature, the rivers, the mountains and everything this state has to offer. Unfortunately we were limited on time, but will definitely have a part 2 to our WV Adventure. Anything you'd recommend?
Born and raised in West Virginia. I know every single point in this state and you found Lindy Point and I will say it is one of the best kept secrets in West Virginia. Very well done.
@@travelwithbo bridge day or moundsville penn in mid to late October has a haunted house supposed to be one of the top ones in the state. Maybe wvu campus or downtown. Cheat lake. If you like hiking or outdoors take your pick.
My home state also. I was at Blackwater Falls visiting once and the DNR flew a helicopter next to the falls and tossed trout into the pool at the bottom.. Greenbank is very special... I am thrilled you all liked it... Come back some time.... I was born and raised in Buckhannon, WV just a few miles from Weston...
Great video of my home state. There is an overlook on the other side of Blackwater Falls that is wheelchair accessible too. I’m doing the bridge walk in a couple of weeks!
Climbed with two experienced rock-climbers (Chris & Bill) to the top of Seneca rocks in June of 1995. Got the pictures to prove it! Fantastic experience but I still remember how glad I was to back to ground level! And ONCE was enough! L.O.L.
@@travelwithbo It was! But when I was back down & my breathing returned to normal, I asked Chris if I had been in any real danger while I was "up there?" He shook his head & said "Up there? "Not really." "LAST NIGHT in the campground when you were snoring, I was ready to kill you!"
One of my favorite views in West Virginia is Olson Fire Tower. You have to climb up this sketch old fire tower, but if you catch it at sunset, especially in the fall, it’s breathtaking! Anyway it’s amazing I’m still finding places to go in my own state. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the great video Bo - lots of great tips and info! I took my first trip to WV recently, seeing most of the great spots in the national park. Your video gave me many new ideas, so I can’t wait to go back and see more. Have a great holiday!
You chose some of the best places ever to visit in WV. I am a native West Virginian and love Blackwater Falls. The steps down to the Falls is a bit much for older people. Lindy Point is located near the classic cabins. Glad you visited my favorite state and had a great time. Right on about cell phone service as well as gas stations,. In some areas of WV, they are few and far between.
Chimney rock is just up the road from smoke hole caverns on smoke hole road. It’s a heavy hike but very worth is. If you’re checking out Seneca you may a we’ll do this one also. Very worth it.
Very well done Video!!!! I like all the places you have shown in this video about my home state. I especially like how you always list the cost of getting into the places you have shown us. I will subscribe to your channel because you do an excellent job of videoing and also telling us where we are seeing and not just the same old same old video information I see in so many other videos of WV.
@@travelwithbo Thanks.... Actually it's in the process of being listed, the broker and realtor feels i can make a considerable profit with the upgrades i made, time will tell.
Great video! I'm a native and you hit a lot of the high points that would interest tourists. Beckley isn't too far from New River Gorge and has Tamarack and the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. I highly recommend both. Our capital building here in my hometown of Charleston is one of the nicest in the country and has a great museum/cultural center beside it. If you come back, you may do some white water rafting as well. 🙂
Well done! Very entertaining & informative! There are so many beautiful spots to explore in W. Virginia. Thanks for sharing the beauty of this state with us. New sub here! 👍
That looks like a really beautiful place! Thanks for making this video. I have been looking for some place like this! Do you recommend moving there? What small city would you recommend if I were to move there? I love nature and all it has to offer. All I need is a roof over my head and a garden plot and nature! Oh and a good SUV that will get me where I need to go 😀
Definitely a very beautiful and underrated state 🙌 The best thing to do for you would probably be just going on a road trip and doing some exploring for yourself. See all the cities and towns, talk to locals, get a feel for it... and see where you like it most. Good luck
@@travelwithbo Thank you Bo! Perhaps I should contact Tina from the WVP (next post) or study Areavibes to see cost of living differences and local amenities. Thank you for responding!
You missed a couple of things...Lake SHawnee Abandoned Amusement Park, the abandoned railraod town of Thurmond, the city of CHarleston, the highest point in WV - Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods, Point PLeasant - the home of the Mothman, and Marshall University.
You should have more followers..your vlog is very informative and not like those vloggers who talk to fast that you dont understand what they're saying..😊Keep it up

We didn't really focus on visiting specific "cities." The goal was to stop at cool/iconic places and make a loop around the whole state. Some of the coolest nature spots and views were actually between cities in the middle of nowhere. You'll find an exact list in the description 👇 next month I'm actually planning to make a road trip through VA 🏞🚗 super excited 🙌
Unfortunately we did not have the time to do whitewater rafting. But a lot of the locals were recommending it. I'm planning on coming back and doing that one day

I’ve lived in moundsville my entire life. Love it here! That bridge and penitentiary are a mainstay. So is the mound!
We loved the nature of WV so much that we might do another road trip. Any suggestions on what we missed?

Hey, I was born in Buckhanon too, St Joseph's Hospital. But, I grew up in Wetzel County. Have lived in Minnesota for last 40 years.
Now I’m going to have to plan a trip to West Virginia…..skipping the bridge walk. Me and heights don’t get a long.
