I'm still amazed at how Sunset Shimmer turned from one of the worst villains to one of the best protagonists.

After she lost everything at the hands of heroes who value friendship, this song marks the turning point of Sunset Shimmer's redemption quest.
I never realized how much this song actually impacted me throughout my early years and I'm really thankful for mlp to actually write a character like sunset, this song became my own motto subconsciously and made sunset one of my favorite characters up until now. This just makes me still hope for the better good of people and still believing that deep down people still have the purest of hearts if they decide to change. The only thing that will ever truly defy you is what are you doing at this exact moment in time.

I love this sunset shimmer, because she fought the darkness that she consumed, she is brave, she did not let her past affect her, she'd rather forget it and change for the better. This song, has a very beautiful meaning to us, if you did something bad or you dont like it, just remember it as a lesson not a mistake, and change for the better

Sunset Shimmer has to be one of my favorite reformed MLP villains. Most of the reformed villains are like “I’m sorry for being evil” but Sunset’s redemption is the best because we see how much she hates the way she is was and wants to start a new life as a different person
One little detail I love about her redemption is the way the designers toned down her vibrant colors. Compared to her previous design, as seen in the pictures that she takes off the wall (1:16), you can see the contrasting difference in her color scheme. It's quite interesting! Same with Starlight Glimmer, who got a new hairstyle as a sign of her progression into a better person. I love it when people actually show us, rather than just tell us that a character is redeemed. :)
She changed the most, she deserves everything in the world.

I deeply admire Sunset and her journey to redemption! Whatever bad things happened before, she ultimately decided to learn from them and not them rule her life. I sure wish there was a proper ending to her story. Holidays Unwrapped doesn’t count. I need to see her and the girls graduate from high school and find a way to permanently stop magic from entering their world. This pandemic has delayed so many projects, but treasuring the old ones have been keeping me to hold on to hope for the future. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️
