- LSU's Michaela Rose put on a masterclass effort in the women's 800m invitational at the 2024 Bryan Clay Invitational, lowering her collegiate No. 2 all-time mark to 1:58.37 for the win. That also made for Rose's first-ever performance under 1:59 and is still only behind Athing Mu in the collegiate all-time rankings.

Her stride, her turnover, her speed.....She is the real deal.
She looked like she wasn't even stressed during that run! What a great run! Go Michaela! She put in great work!
What an exceptional talent! USA middle distance is going to be just fine for the next decade. Sooo much talent ! Job well done! She is currently the most fearless runner I have seen run. She is attack mode from the gun. You do not get this anymore. It’s always strategic. This young woman always goes for it!
Too bad she's Jamaican. 😊
@@ballahfiGod are you madd? She is American! Won a silver medal in the U20’s for USA!
That was amazing, and congrats to her.
Impressive performance 👍, well done Michaela ❤
What a badass, that shows true grit!
Darn good time this early in the season. Shocked they allowed a drone for filming.
WOW, 🎉🎉CONGRATULATIONS 🎊
Fantastic performance, would love to see her run a couple of 400/1500s each this year to get her 53.42/4.11.98 PBs down as much as possible.
she s run 51/52 splits on 🐅 4x4. at least 5xs she has run a 4x4 relay-and she s run 3-1500/mile s this year already. Follow her interviews and her races and you would hear them talk about her having to leave the track and get ready for the relay(ex-NCAA-Nationals)
kinda be good if you were up on people s careers before saying what they need to do… FYI
@@marciarose5840 A lot of talented athletes to follow in the NCAA, but even so have watched a number of her races esp all 7 of her 800m races over the years vs Juliette Whittaker inc their most recent race. She's having a very good season so far with her 600/800/Mile PRs, wish her all the best in this very long season re NCAA Outdoors & Olympic Trials!
Anna Camp-Bennett is not unattached. She signed a pro contract with Adidas directly out of BYU.
Outstanding video!!! 5 stars
Just took down a pro field, simply amazing athlete.
Form on point
Fabulous! I hope she's going to the Olympic trials!
Swesome better than many pros
yes
Elise Cranny - a 10,000 meter runner - was in this race.
800 meter specialists never run the 10,000 to return the favor. But credit to Michaela for runnng all those miles and 1,500s this year.
. Y should they?? Van Niekerk vs 15ooM. Etcetera. Y??
@@BattShytKuhraezy I was just joking around because of seeing a 10,000 runner competing in an 800.
Which makes Sifan Hassan (1.56.81 & 29.06.82) & Gudaf Tsegay (1.57.52 & 29.29.73) incredible athletes with fantastic range! Pretty sure Faith Kipyegon (1.57.68, 3.49.11 & 14.05.20) over the next couple of yrs will be making that leap into the 10K as well!
@@AllInTheGame01 And let’s not forget Sifan has run the second fastest marathon all-time.
didn’t Addy Wiley run 1:57 before?
Unfortunately, any record races run after the NCAA Outdoor Champs in early June are considered "Out-of -Season Bests" instead of Official NCAA Records, so 5 of Athing's times inc her 1.55.04, 1.55.21 & 1.56.07 between 27 Jun - 21 Aug '21 as well as Addy's 1.57.64 & 1.59.00 between 4 Aug - 4 Sep '23 don't count towards official NCAA Records.
@@AllInTheGame01 ohh ok
So focused on showing the winner cross the line we miss the real race behind.
. OLYMPIC games?? BADASS!!
Rose looks so fluid. She will be incredible at the NCAA's and Olympic Trials
