Had my large one for a bit over a year and it still sounds just as great as when I bought it. Battery life is still wonderful as when I bought it as well.
I bought mine back in October and now all of sudden it won’t charge anymore ☹️ I tried plugging it in a different wall socket but that still didn’t work. Any suggestions? Help, please!! I use it for when me and my little boy are practicing on the field.
@@jermaineanderson7668 I had problems eventually with the charging thing falling in. If you have the ability to I'd make sure all connections internally are still good

Just bought the medium size speaker today, definitely worth the price. This speaker blew my mind with the bass boost button. I've had the JBL xtreme and I can say I wished I had purchased this speaker over the JBL. For under $100 WITH the 2 year protection plan I'd definitely recommend this speaker for backyard parties. I'm taking this speaker to the river in 2 weeks and I'll update how it goes👍

I have a medium onn speaker. I want two but I can't decide if I wanna get another medium or get two large or just get one large to pare with my medium. Which do you think would sound great?
Two medium would still sound pretty good if you want to have the stereo sound and save some $. If you have the cash to spend I had bought 1 large to pair with my medium and ended up getting a second large and don't regret it, I use them all the time. I do also use my medium a lot as it is more portable for camping and just a quick grab and go speaker.

No special app needed, you first connect the speakers together using the sync button, then you connect your phone to 1 speaker and it plays on both.

Just picked up the large today. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd one to use as a dual speaker PA system for small venues where a microphone is used. I'm wondering if syncing 2 speakers also syncs the mic so it also plays in both speakers..?
Yep the mic will be in both speakers once synced.
@@hrphlps Have you actually tried this? I'm curious because I called customer service and they said the same thing so I ordered another speaker. Same one. However, it isn't working for me. Only the speaker I plugged the mic into works. The music and lights sync just fine but the mic does not. I wonder if there is something I can do to make it work...?

I have 2 Onn Large party speakers and I love the SYNC option. I'm wondering if I get a 3rd one it would sync too? or 2 is the max? (since they say left-right). Would it be better to use AUX splitters at that point? to use all 3? - Asking this because I might use them in a big gym area and I want sound to get to everyone

Yep you can mix and match sizes when connecting them.
I have a question... is the medium onn speaker... the same size speaker as the large onn speakers?
The speakers do look about the same size, I would say yes. The large just has 2 of them.
Any chance you could do a tear down on the party speaker?!? I have a pair of the black web party speaker ( essentially the same speaker) but , one the battery is completely out. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to open it up. PLEASE HELP!!!
4 screws under the large. Remove them and the battery compartment opens like a clamshell
Hi, thanks for the review. Question: if you connect one via aux, can they still sync to play audio out of both?
Yes, I use them connected to my outdoor projector via aux into one and synced wireless into the other for stereo sound.

Here I was thinking if I was to purchase a second one that it wouldn't be realistic to pair with another stereo system I have, but if they can both sync when one is wired I could just use a 3.5 splitter and run long aux cables to each respective system when I'm using my projector or other video sources 👍
Edit: I presume you also meant for both the medium and large speaker as I purchased the medium and would plan on getting a second medium
@@treenugs117 yep, you can do the same with 2 medium. Just plug into one and pair another medium for stereo sound wireless.
@@hrphlps well the syncing of the speakers worked fine as I just got my second one in but when I try to play both systems the onn’s are slightly delayed no matter if I’m using the splitter wired or hooked to a separate bt receiver. I wonder if it’s the splitter itself since it’s a cheap one or the fact there’s too many wireless connections not syncing
Edit: the Onn’s synced together cause the Bluetooth delay and it’s enhanced when using the splitter, it’s noticeable on video so the only option is to get a three way splitter and hook up each speaker as an aux connection without pairing the two Onn’s 👍
@@treenugs117 what is the splitter for? I connect 1 cable from my projector to a single speaker and have no delay between it and the paired speaker.

No remote and no way to attach to a speaker stand.

I don't see why not, they do have a 3.5mm audio jack, you might need to get an adapter cable from 3.5 to RCA if your TV doesn't have a 3.5mm out but I don't know why it wouldn't work. I use them on my projector for outdoor movie nights and they work great.
So big question can you link the medium with the large ? Or do they have to be the same speaker to link
Yes, you use the link button on the large and Bluetooth button on the medium, and they link together.
Not sure if this has been asked before, if you have the 2 large speakers paired with each other and you use the aux in on one of them, do they both still play? Have a specific use case where I can’t use Bluetooth
Yes, I actually use that scenario for my projector for outdoor movie nights.

Using the sound meter app it measured 94db at max volume playing the radio.

Hmm that's a tough on. Probably 2 mediums for the stereo sound.
I would do the large one, as it can also sit horizontally and has more power. Although 2 mediums would sound amazing for the stereo separation! 😁👌🏾
So if i have a big jbl one can i pair with a big onn one? or do they have to be same brand to pair?

i just bought a large one. it sounds pretty good on mid-high volume, but it doesnt sound good at max. i only used it on battery btw, im sure it would sound better plugged in.
im comparing to some of my av equipment that was similar price. (sony amp, klipsh monitors, polk sub)

Ok having this large speaker side by side with the Dolphin SB 210Rbt speaker that has 2 tweeters and 2 10" woofers with 5 band equalizer, x bass control etc. I can tell you the the sound is clearer and controls are way smoother with the onn. The Dolphin 2 10" speaker moves more 'air so to speak. So it hits harder but the cabinet design is like way better with the onn. Solid, like wood and ported methodically to maximize bass. I am seriously contemplating selling the dolphon and getting another onn to pair. They are small but powerful af. What do you think?

The large is double the medium. The speakers are the same size just 2 of them and they double the wattage. There isn't a huge difference, if you have the medium and just use it for an outdoor party it's still great. I bought the two large for the stereo sound, I hook them up to a projector for outdoor movies.
When playing the large speakers it sounded like the bass was distorting? Is that true coming out of the speaker or just from the recording pickup? Thanks for the video review!
I was using a Blue Yeti mic which is a decent mic, but the bass is much better in person.

Yes, you set them next to each other and use the Bluetooth button on both of them to pair.
Does these only run off the batteries or can you plug it into the wall and run the power like that
They run on AC wall outlet also. But the batteries last a very long time.
I have the large one and it legitimately plays 10 hours with the Bass Boost on and I Never had to run it full blast cause it’s really loud .. I absolutely love it and it’s affordable

Battery life is how many hrs?
I've thought about these speakers, though I think one thing to mention is that these speakers use SLA, or Sealed Lead Acid, batteries rather than lithium ion. So they're great with being left plugged in but aren't really ideal for continual usage on battery power.
That being said, battery replacement would be a breeze as the larger one uses a typical UPS battery, the medium one not so much.
I bought 2 mediums with bad batteries and theyre not as bad as you think. Maybe 12 screws and thats it. The scariest part is the wires are short and if your not careful, youll unplug the woofer or the board(assuming from the lights) but it wasnt bad at all. $25 battery and 20 mins worth of work.
@@limoboy27 I meant sourcing the medium batteries might be difficult. The large ones I can drive to my local electronics store and purchase the battery as my battery backups use the same pack. You can buy SLA batteries online but I don't recall if they can only be shipped via ground. I don't recognize the medium size and didn't dig seeing if I could source them at the time.
@@Ikouy found the medium ones on Amazon but turns out the charging circuit was bad as it overcharge the batteries and make them hot

Can you tell me which one is for a karaoke setting ? Do I need a XLR to 6.35mm cord?
Both versions have a 1/4 mic jack, once plugged in the microphone is hot and you can use it over all existing audio. No real karaoke setting to turn on.

Yikes, they have a 90 day warranty, outside of that maybe a local electronics repair shop could fix it. I did look for a teardown but couldn't find one.
Same here. This is crap we have to deal with for saving $200(jbl partybox 100). What did u do? I'm thinking relocating to handle area. Not any extra slack in the power wires.

Yep, and they suck, I never use the rollers they wobble the speaker and are not easy to control while walking with it unless you are walking at a snails pace.

I have the large one and worked GREAT, until it started dying on me after mere minutes of it being on. I try to charge it and it says it's fully charged and won't charge. Im at a loss
Sounds like a bad cell in the battery. I would check to see if it's still under warranty.

Do you know how to play music from the USB port? There has to be a way to play from it, why even have a port there if it can't read music on the USB card. I've tried everything though and I can't figure out how to do it.
Per the manual the USB port is for power only, it won't play any audio files from it.

They do have an RCA connection so you can probably use that or even a 3.5mm cable. For the cost I would probably go with a sound bar and get the surround sound instead of just right and left.

Yes, there isn't a huge difference. I had the medium size for a year and it was used a lot.

Since onn is a Walmart exclusive company and these are made in China it would probably be best to just find a local electronics repair shop. Might also find a teardown video or repair video and do it yourself, depending on the issue.

I have the dual one and mine sounds like it is blown but I’ve bearly played it and it has like a wheeze coming from the back air port and was wondering if you knew what was wrong the video is great
The noise from the port could be something in the port or it could have a support in the port I've had it happen in home sub's
I am not sure on that one. Might do a warranty replacement if you haven't had it very long.

Can the little ones connect with the big
Yes you can connect two differend sizes together. There have been new version released since this video was made but they should all pair together. Note you can only pair two unlike some speakers that you can pair multiple. I have the Anker Soundcore Flare 2 speakers and those are smaller and you can pair up to 100 together. Depending on your situation those might be a good choice also. If you want a high volume these Onn speakers are much louder though.

I wonder when syncd if I can not have it be stereo, for when I have a party that I want to place one speaker upstairs and one down stairs and not have the channels split.

@@justchellebee2425 It uses Bluetooth so probably not more than about 30 feet, they also need to be next to each other to pair when you turn them on. If you left them on they would stay paired but if you turned them off you would need to bring them together again to pair them.
Not sure if you still monitor this video, but I just got two big speakers and they both work with my phone just fine but they won’t link together at the same time like yours do. It just searches forever

I JUST BROUGHT THE LARGE ONE TODAY I LISTENED TO THE SMALL ONE IN THE STORE AND WHEN I TELL U I WAS SO SUPPOSED I JUST KNEW THE BIG ONE WOULD NE EVEN BETTER AND GUESS WHAT IT WAS IM SO IMPRESSED WITH THE SOUND I WAS TRYING TO GET THE JBL PARTY BOX BUT THEY SOLD OUT I HAVE THE JBL CHARGE 5 AND LET ME TELL YOU THE JBL CHARGE 5 DIES SO FAST AND THIS LARG ONN IS KILLING MY JBL IM SO HAPPY I GOT IT JUST VANT BELIEVE HOW GOOD THIS LARGE ONE SOUNDS
I bought the jbl charge 5 a month ago for 140$ on best buy, got the medium onn for 90$ , and let me tell you, got surprised that the onn got much better sound and battery
Someone mentioned that these don't use lithium batteries so how ling do they actually last at high volumes ?
I have used them all day with no problem, normally I use them a couple hours at a time and can use them multiple times before having to charge them.
