I can just picture Uncle Chael back in the day coming out for the HS wrestling tournaments. His opponent is standing there waiting, then everything goes dark and quiet and you hear: "He's been running the streets for years..."
CHAEL this a great segue into a TITO STORY!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell us ALL about that dual meet VS Tito!! We would love to know all the details.. How important was that Meet? It was such an awesome match!! Thanks Chael
I totally agree with that entire statement. Same here, except I didn't learn until my senior year. The first match for me was always the scale. Once I quit that game, I had more energy, was hydrated, and did better in school. Also, it was amazing how much different practice was, when it was about working on technique and not worrying about sweat. Senior year I was 2 under on day three of weigh ins. All I had to worry about was my wrestling. Phenomenal decision. Love when you talk collegiate wrestling. I used to drive from Gresham to Canby every Wednesday to do a second practice with you and Kevin. Some of the best memories. Keep it up.
Chael, I am a psychologist. I used to be an outside linebacker. This story really caused me to respect you. Losing out at 177 and having the fortitude to keep it together and really hustle. Outstanding. Oh, I was a 185lb linebacker, and I tried to gain weight and always had about 4% body fat. I didn't get over 200 until I had a Master's degree.
I was thinking Geoff because of power and if he can close the distance. It’s a smaller cage as well so wonder boy may change up his style after the first couple round of it makes it that far. Attacking the lead leg of WB is key, but I see Geoff trying to get inside more. But you can’t sleep in a vet. He is the wonder boy for a reason. I’m excited for the match up and see it to a few rounds. I don’t think Geoff will get inside that early without WB recovering. But I can definitely see around 2/3 KO if not the distance.
I weighed 235 in the 285 division in college. While everyone else on the team is starving and running the night before weigh ins, coach is making me eat multiple steaks and baked potatoes. I tried to convince my teammates I was in as much misery as they were, they didn't buy it.
I was 150 lbs. my whole life and liked to party with my friends. Eventually I wanted to body build and started eating 8,000 calories a day and eventually got to 240 natty. Then I got very sick after a dentist visit. Eat Whole Foods mostly vegetables and just work out. Stay healthy
@@kelainefes I was a rock solid bodybuilder that went to the dentist got injected into my salivary glands and then my whole side of my face swelled. I developed lumps that spread all over my body. I couldn’t digest any food anymore. I was in pain. White balls started coming out of my salivary glands.
Back in the day, I wrestled a little in college but also ran track. Going into the conference track tournament, which started early in the day the coach had us eat a large steak breakfast in the early AM. I was leading the race at the half way point, but ended up in last place. Never ate a breakfast like that again.
I agree that this story is interesting. In the video, it was said that it would be easy to cut 8 pounds. Could you do a video on how Professional wrestlers/MMA fighters cut weight? The general person on the street struggles to lose weight, so how do those who have to weigh a certain amount lose weight to make the required weight?
...the fighter would shed some weight in the weeks leading up to the fight, but the bulk of the weight they cut right before the fight is just water weight Chael is talking about just sweating it out from sauna or exercise But the fighters also “water load “, which involves drinking tons of water for a few days , then your body will be able to dispel a large amount of water from your system, in rebuke almost. So the fighter times that for the day they need to weigh in, their body will have expelled as much water as possible, reducing their body weight But it’s not sustainable for weight loss for the average person. After the fighter weighs in, they replenish their fluids and gain most of that weight back, that was lost from water being expelled
Based on what you said, and my own experience with cutting weight as a fighter, the moment you consciously acknowledged that you were going to be eating less, and working out more, in order to get down to 185, your body switch its metabolism, and began to store excess pounds. My question to you is this, how hard was the first weight cut to 185?
If you need an AI on TRT you're either taking too much T or you need to find out why you're aromatizing so much. Could be that you drink too much, could be that you need to loose some fat, could be something else, you need to find out.
