I am addicted to watching Betty. She must have been a very loving and caring person. I only hope should I ever be in her situation that I can be as kind and loving as she is. She made me smile as she interacted with Betty in the mirror. Her personality came through. She is lucky to have a loving family. I miss my husband. So I really enjoy when she enteracts with hers. Must have been a loving marriage.
You know that is sad 9 years ur mom had the disease so sad she couldn't remember her kids have you'll spoke too the doctor about brain operation ( just pray for ur mom she definitely need her brain back ) I saw that video u told ur husband get ur fat u know what thst broke my heart don't u think thst is to depressing going through this you'll need to be happy keep up the good work taking care ur mom
I'm sorry it makes me uncomfortable to hear people with alzheimers being 'tested '; asked questions they dont know the answer to and then feel awkward or have to find a way to answer.. I love the sentiment and his loving words but surely it could be phrased in a different way not trying to get her to answer when she doesn't know.
This is very exploitive. All of those questions are not good for her. You are just making a spectacle of Betty. I don't think that's your intention, but get some dementia care training from an expert.
I really dislike when he “baits” her. He asks her questions he knows she can’t answer. I feel sad for her, and for him, too, as I know from my own experience that he hopes she will be able to answer correctly. It’s been 20 years since my own experience with a family member, and the memory still makes me sad.
I don't believe he is baiting her. He asks questions as a mental exercise. He coaches her and provides the answers gently and with love. She seems happy for the conversation and this is also a way to gauge progression of the illness. Quality time with his mother ❣️
It’s not bad to ask questions and see if an event like Mother’s Day might provoke a memory to come back. That’s how their minds work, it doesn’t just happen on its own.

Me too. You're not supposed to do that it's very difficult for them when people do that. 😢
