This store has crazy prices but in fact their products are very different from all the stores in Riyadh. There is a wonderful store called (Al Mazraa - Al Sahafa district) and they have self-service machines for juices and also for peanut butter, cashews and others and their prices are excellent in addition to the (Lulu) store which is also wonderful
Love seeing you guys adapting and enjoying your time in Saudi, was wondering how the new Spinneys set up look like and this was helpful. I can see that they're focusing on imported products and everything seems to be unreasonably expensive. Enjoy your time and welcome to Riyadh 😍
We shop often at Spinneys, some of their items are expensive like the fruit and veg, but there are quite a few products that are cheaper than Panda and Carrefour. You just need to know what to buy there. Their fresh food counter has delicious dishes and probably the best potato salad I've ever had.
Yes I agree with this, you can find some very cheap items if you know what your looking for :) I particularly enjoy the waitrose biscuits haha, they always seem to be very cheap too!
To understand Islamic culture, I advise you to visit Al-Rajhi Mosque in Riyadh and ask the imam important questions, such as: Why are you Muslims? Why do you believe in the existence of God? Why do you love Jesus and do not believe in the doctrine of the Trinity? How do you verify that the Qur’an is truly the word of the Creator? Perhaps you can educate your channel viewers about the culture of the country in which you live
I'm from Bangladesh. Living here in KSA, Jeddah for 30+ years. Personally, I'll go to such places only to explore, not definitely for shopping. Since 2015, the prices of goods here have started to increase; in addition to the VAT they have started adding from 5%, then went up to 15% since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and opening such stores now does not help people save money when shopping. God bless the economic superstores.

I think the huge surplus in prices in this supermarket and alike is the packing. Cutting foods and packing make prices higher and not good for the environment. I always buy my foods from direct suppliers. This make prices cheaper. I personally would avoid products imported from far locations such as UK and go for local products and things that are come from neighbouring countries. When I travel to far locations, I buy local things too.
It would be great to know about your car renting/buying experience. How easy and safe was it all. Anything weird vs uk? Thank you! Expat en-suite to Riyadh for first time.
i actually brought my car over from dubai as a tourist import, you can check my channel for a full breakdown on the process if this is something your looking at. i will most likely look at buying after my car has been in the country for the maximum amount of time (1 year) so will be sure to do a video!
It’s a pricey place lol. I usually get my fruits and veggies from my local farmers market look for your nearest farmers market location you should give it a try! The VIBES there are insanely cozy. Tip:Be careful, it get crowded a little bit specially on Friday!!
Yes, they are accepted. They are four major markets distributed in the north, south, and east . The best of them is the south maps.app.goo.gl/AG93AQDtvutyTPaF9
Spinneys is newer to the market and lacks the extensive logistical infrastructure of established supermarkets like Panda, Al Othiam, and Danube. This can mean that products at Panda, for example, might have more recent production dates compared to those at Spinneys.
Saudi Arabia, unlike the United States, provides its citizens with humane working conditions, insanely good pay with no income tax, and a good work-life balance with 21 days of vacation on day 1 and 30 days after 5 years. They also get 30 days of sick pay, four months bereavement for a spouse, 10 observed holidays, guaranteed basic income, free Healthcare, great retirement benefits, etc. The United States gives its citizens nothing but taxes, bills, poisoned food (chemical dyes) and poisoned water (fluroide, lead, RDX), a slap in the face retirement benefit (social insecurity), an FDA ran by corporate interests, drug company advertising, medical bankruptcy, disgusting nursing home care, and homelessness. Nearly every other first world country treats its citizens with a better work-life balance, pay, Healthcare, retirement, non-toxic food and water, basic income, return on investment for taxes levied, etc.
Welcome to Saudi. Spinneys is highly expensive throughout the gulf countries If you need important goods from UK or US try also LuLu they offer some varieties. Try also the local supermarkets Tamimi and Danube. Take care
Keep going I really love your videos, as a Saudi sing another perspective makes it fun to watch Your voice and ofc the accent reminds me of Florence Pugh she is my celebrity crush and that gives you an advantage over Brad 😂😂
Panda, as far as I’ve noticed is the happy medium to be honest, AlOthaim is the cheapest option but not the best, for me it has to go to AlTamimi, the variety is amazing, prices are a bit more expensive than Panda and AlOthaim, but cheaper than Danube, Manuel, or even Spinneys, happy shopping🙏🏽
Maybe she likes the country! You DO NOT have to get paid to tell the truth. Also, she said it’s a British supermarket, something reminds her of home. Plus she just started a new journey in Saudi Arabia after living in UAE👾👾👾
