Joe Armon-Jones | Live at North Sea Jazz 2022

Keyboardist, composer and producer Joe Armon-Jones is a spider in the London jazz web, that continues to spread out across jazz, hip hop, and dub music, among others for the Ezra Collective en Nubya Garcia. Nubya Garcia is here also playing in his band. They do the songs 'Try Walk With Me' and 'Starting Today' live at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2022 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
You might know the keyboard playing of Joe Armon-Jones from Ezra Collective and Nubya Garcia. His solo work is equally impressive. He can play ever so lightly on his albums and at the same time challenge an audience with his virtuosity and complexity. He studied the classic jazz of Oscar Peterson and as a producer he is influenced by broken beat (which originated in London), but also by the experimental work of J Dilla and Herbie Hancock. Armon-Jones takes liberties wherever possible. Because of his influence on the London jazz scene, he is no stranger to North Sea Jazz, but we can finally enjoy one of his own projects.
