TH-cam car reviews are often sparse with base trim reviews so thanks! Great to see the S up close & personal. The S is what I would buy as I like cars that are clean and basic. In my opinion you are making too much about lack of car play. Easily fixed with $50 adapter from Amazon or after market. On my current car I never use it, if I need nav I just launch the app on my phone and play music with Bluetooth. Easy peasy nice & easy. MSRP on Nissan website- includes $1,390 destination S= $23,220 FWD. Kicks has a naturally aspirated engine(no turbo like the Trax.), yes! Better exterior design and interior fit and comfort than Trax. 2025 Soul LX that you reviewed is about $2,000 less so with better warranty- better deal for me than Kicks. Love your reviews! Please keep them coming. 😊
A contemporary, attractive car. I delete awd but move up to SV trim. Interesting alternative to Tucson or Sportage. Concern over Nissan and its corporate and dealer status. The partly related Sentra sedan is very. good car. The revised cvt I think is not much of a concern but I follow all service very carefully. You know your product and msrket very well. Great review!!
I’ve seen these w/sold signs already at my Nissan dealer while getting routine maintenance. Awesome job Nissan! I think some people could live without car play but not many. I actually don’t use it much but my vehicle has Sirius XM and built in Navigation. But my older one has no tech! So it is possible, just use your phone as a screen! 😂
I agree that for 2025, all base models should include apple Car Play/android auto standard, even if it has to be wired. But, of course, less is more when you're talking reliability. My only other concern would be Nissan's CVT. One would hope they improved it for reliability. I would love to see a side by side comparison of all the entry-level models under 25k from all manufacturers.
I think that it's worth the extra 2 grand to move up to the SV trim, and get the better infotainment system, alloy wheels, and broader paint selection.
Great review Mike as always. The Android and Apple car play do not interest me personally...I still have a flip phone and I am not a smart tech person. But...Sirius Radio should be standard...I agree with you on that. Spare tires and associated equipment should be standard not an option. I also dislike vehicles without body side moldings....they look so plain. Maybe bodyside moldings can be ordered as an accessory. I know that you can with Subaru Vehicles. Like the AWD option...but I really like the vehicle. Continue the great job as always. If I had my choice I would consider a Nissan Kicks as a possible purchase for me. Thanks as always. Kevin
A cynic would suggest Nissan purposely omitted Apple Carplay & Android Auto on the S trim to compel buyers to move up the trim ladder to the SV trim. Unless you're using a flip phone, this is a deal breaker.
I just Got a Nissan Kicks SR 2 tone Grey & Red it AWESOME!! I AM IN LOVE!! PLEASE DONT SLEEP ON THIS car!!

Thanks Louis. I agree that this S trim is pretty scant. I’ll get the SV and SR trims on the channel.

They are selling fast! They need a hit.
Right, and the new Murano is out! Looks way different too.
It’s been unveiled. It will be a while before dealers get them. Has to make the fall auto show circuit first. Again….Nissan is late to the party.

Agree. Their CVT’s have been the weak link. Hopefully they’ve straightened that out. Thanks for watching and the feedback.
Nissan's current CVTs are much improved and are now much more reliable.

I agree. Thanks for tuning in.
Doesn't it include GPS navigation? If so, which model of Kicks includes it? Thanks

Maybe its for the elders or budget friendly too

Agreed. Thanks for the feedback 👍
Maybe it can be for the elders or first time buyers or even beginners too
25 grand for this Nissan with steely wheels laughing 🤣 joke price, this vehicle looks like it’s worth 15-18 grand max
