Great video thank you. Interactive video is not a new phenomenon. I was producing interactive branching video back in 2000 using Flash and even earlier using Macromedia Director. Even got huge interest from Warner Bros until they found out the technology/process I was using was based on existing software hahaha

Yup! Prices can be mad, but since making this video, Spiel now have their own interactive platform that is available for a small fraction of the price. I want to make an animated movie with mini games, for example an action scene on the highway, i want it so that it turns into a mini game where you try to blow enemies tires down, and then when it’s over continue to the movie. I don’t want to code a game for it because it’s mostly watching and few gameplay

These videos are only playable for webs right?
Unfortunately at this moment in time these platforms will give you html code to embed on your website. TH-cam, Vimeo and Wistia need to catch up, really, and start implementing some interactive options!

Hi Deepti, Vimeo has very limited interactive functions. Vizia is ok for polls and quizzes but doesn't have fully robust interactive features. Also, being honest, when researching platforms Vizia seems to have a problem with onboarding new users and I get the suspicion that they are no longer operating - but could be wrong on this.

THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO. These videos are not supported by any video platform such as TH-cam, Vimeo, Facebook, of course, not any Apple products or can be played in smartphones through social media. This is because blue-chip brands want to have full control of the advertising revenue that interactive video will compromise. Meanwhile, we, the consumer, are waiting for some disruptive platform to allows this technology.
Can a video edited on these platforms be uploaded on any website like a personal website?
Hey Gargi, Yes, the platforms we mention will enable you to embed your interactive video onto your website. There are also smaller platforms that are breaking onto the scene that are more affordable. But as Rafael rightly points out, we are still waiting for TH-cam, Vimeo or Facebook to enable interactive elements!

There is a better posibilty for interactive videos from Adove, besides Captivate? What about Adobe after effects?
You can create the video exports in after effects, but for interactivity you'd need to add them into the players mentioned.

The interactive video hosts that we have mentioned in the video will provide a code so that the videos can sit on your website. Through time, we suspect- and dare I say EXPECT- TH-cam to allow this feature, particularly for ads. They have started adding icards and random clickable links, but no sticky hotspots or branching yet!!

Wow... you didn't even mention Unity or other game engines that also support the creation of interactive videos (FMV)... as a filmmaker with a background in programming it still surprises me how many creatives are still somewhat clueless about a genre and concept that's been attempting to establish itself since the early 90s. I do agree that this is no fad and just like video games, it will become a prominent player in how narrative will be delivered and enjoyed. I think the most exciting part about producing film content in this format is that it opens a whole new market up for distribution and ultimately a sizable addition stream of revenue for a project.

Unfortunately TH-cam are still a bit behind the curve on introducing interactivity. Mainly due to bandwidth. You will need to use an interactive video host and embed it on a landing page as a best solution

Camtasia doesn't cost 250$ per month! it's a one time fee, 269 Euros. The amount of money some of those companies are charging for interactive videos is absolutely ridiculous. "Active presenter" is priced reasonably, one time fee, none of this subscription stupidity.
How many videos can one make on the one time subscription? And can the videos be uploaded on any website or is it specific to youtube only?
