Tawanchai being a well known Muay Thai fighter within his home land for many years since he was 18 years old . He also has a AKA as "Lefty Superstar" ซ้ายดารา due to his smart , beautiful and on target left kick , he made several knock outs by his left kick.

He's a very talented fighter, pure skill, doesn't even need to go 100% with power because his weapons are so precise, very nice to watch and does a great job of annoying you with his teep, it really does annoy you and you have to try and hide the fact that you're getting pissed off therefore losing your consideration.

@@urhallibut419 he has lost multiple times before and his pre 2018 form is nowhere near today.
@@phank.s.4052 he was slaughtered, i seen him fight and was so impressed i went on a 2 hour search to find fights he lost, and o my god, not only has he lost, he was absolutely devastated. i've watched thousands of muay thai bouts, i can say without question i haven't ever seen a thai fighter destroyed the way i've seen tiwanchai destroyed. I mean he almost died in the ring the refs had to leap in and save him from falling out the ring, he was completely obliterated twice. i dont know the names of the fighters because it was in thai but they were the worst beatings ive ever seen in any sport. i didn't even know thais would go that hard on another thai, usually they dont, it was just shocking because the crowd was cheering it on, usually thais dont like to see their fighters get beat to the point of hospitalization, they have more class than that. it was truly stunning, when i was done watching the fights i just stared at my computer, like what did i just witness, this kid almost died. with all that said, i believe he is the third or fourth best muay thai fighter alive today, only surpassed by nong o, superlek, saenchi.

What do you even call that kick of his?? It starts like a teep, but he repositions his grounded foot and ends up delivering halfway into a side-kick, with the power that comes with a chambered side-kick. I watched the hell out of it in slow-motion then went to practise it on the heavy bag. His timing with it is phenomenal and the speed, jesus, the speed.
@Dejan Durdic I must have seen it 10000 times before then, but somehow never really paid attention to it until now. Not that more evidence was needed, but I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer!

@Dejan Durdic You're right, I'm seeing it in other places now but not with the frequency and precision of muay thai fighters. One place it's about to start popping up all the time is sparring in the dojo I attend ;-)
We've never been taught the side-teep by our sensais, and I don't recall seeing it used in sparring. We learn an MMA blend that is primarily influenced by Japanese jiu jitsu (Daito-ryu and Tenjin Shinyo-ryu), submission wrestling, taekwondo and muay thai, yet seems to have missed drilling this kick.
