This game reshaped the entire sport. USC's dynasty officially ended here. They had some great teams the next couple years but suffered inexplicable losses to teams like Stanford and Oregon State, effectively costing them National Title appearances. Once Pete Carroll left, it all snowballed downhill from there. With USC's loss here, it put Florida into the National Title, and commenced the SEC's reign of terror.
Stop talking. I need my safe space. I’ve always said Pasadena is the strangest city in the world if it’s even on this world. Every new device is usually 30 years ahead of the time and used here
Honestly the Trojans “dynasty”ended when Vince Young and the Longhorns took out the mighty men of Troy!USC was a great team no question, but they were not the best team that year at all and besides Texas ,UCLA and Oregon State clearly proved that. The Trojans did have the entire Big 10 conference as their b****** though 😂I’ve always admired that!
UCLA QB Patrick Cowan wasn't exactly a model of efficiency in 2006, but NOBODY can take this win away from him. Dude had something to do with ending one of the best college football dynasties of all time.
This was one of the most impressive upset wins I'd ever seen. USC was the best team that year, objectively speaking, but UCLA was the better team that day and that's what matters.
I was at that game. The energy that day compared to nothing I've experienced at the Rose Bowl since. 2012 UCLA vs SC was close, but this day was Magick!
Such as in the 2006 Rose Bowl where Reggie Bush made that bone-headed pitch to walk-on WR Brad Walker who had no idea the ball was coming to him. Even if USC would have beaten Texas that day the win would have been vacated, but at the time ain't NOBODY cared about vacated wins.
John David Booty was actually a good quarterback during his time at USC, but he wasn't Matt Leinart and USC found that out the hard way in this game. *No way in hell UCLA wins this game if Reggie Bush would have come back for his senior year or Leinart had one more year (2006) of eligibility left.* And I say that as a fan of both USC and UCLA, and I've been a fan of both teams since 1991.

@@colinquinn7516 during this time? 100% they did they were stacked
Even Ohio State couldn't stand in SEC's way
@violenceteacher6669, Well said. I've been saying that since the end of USC's 2006 season.

I stormed the field that day with a couple of great friends. what a day!

I remember reading an article I think bleacher report saying this game launched the SEC domination.

I was there as well. It was a magical atmosphere
Same here! Go Bruins.
Greatest day of my life
The look on Cheaty Petey's face!! LOL!
On behalf of the Gator 🐊 Nation, I’d like to say: We owe you one UCLA 😅
Ruined there national championship dreams. Didn't realize usc was one game away lol. Florida still had a conference championship game yet.
Whose here because of swamp kings
Wish the UCLA student section was allowed to rush the field. What an amazing game.
Keep those uploads coming brother, these are 🔥…
This usc team during playoff era
No UCLA bonus money for Trojans this year😂😅
Pete Carroll was 😠 😡 😤
Song girl isn't very smart she was cheering for UCLA making an extra point
What a game
Still shocked
2006,07 and 08 they had teams good enough to win the Natty but they couldn’t get over the hump. They had some bad losses.
My freshman year
If usc would’ve won this game they would’ve played in the bcs title they had small hiccups that cost them many national titles

2007 vibes
