"The art of saying goodbye." This hits me because I am unable to do this. I have never, ever experienced a loss or anything truly painful such as someone dying. And it has hit me because it does affect me tremendously in my life. I am now unable to say "goodbye" to a boyfriend because of a break-up, because I am unable to deal with these feelings. I do not know how to deal with grief, loss or pain of any kind. I was never taught how to deal with it, and never talked about, so now I am paying the price. I do not know how to cope with a heartbreak.
I had to learn how to be grateful for the time together and the lessons I learned from being with them. I wrote them a letter that I never sent with everything I wanted to say and I spent time learning who I was by trial & error. I also made a list of what I wanted in a relationship afterwards. Just some ideas
Depending on your view of life, the universe and other things, goodbye is never really goodbye and one day we may all meet again. And as far as death is concerned it is simply inevitable. We all do it and as painful as it is immortality in this world would likely be a lot worse. Sometimes death can even mean the end of pain for one you love and that can be for the best. Sadly, I've watched members of my family die of cancer and that is not something I would wish on another. It's a slow, painful way to go.
It's almost ironic that the word "good" is in "Good Bye". There is rarely a time when there's anything good about it. I often have to remind myself that EVERYTHING is temporary. Including the pain i will feel in dealing with the good bye. Try looking at yourself from the outside... and view your sadness or depressions rather than living in them risking drowning. Just sharing my views and experience. Good luck to you and your journey.
@@merisonola Well the term goodbye is a contraction of a middle ages phrase "God be with ye". There's even a hymn titled God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again written in 1880 by Jeremiah Eames Rankin. When we say it we are simply expressing the hope that the person will keep well until the next time we meet them.
You will. People like to try and be ready and do this or do that but the truth is people leave a hole in your heart when they pass away. This is where a persons faith plays a role.
I'm 20 hrs into this game and its like playing a game that combined plague dogs, Watership down and The Mouse and His Child. Its the most relaxing decompressing thing i've ever played.
Guys help I only played this game for one day and I am attached to all the characters on my ship.. Gwen is a big sister figure, she is honest with herself and with you. She is your basic tutorial character and its done right. I think they had a good idea making the tutorial character someone who seems to trust your actions and new responsibilities. She also isn't that default tutorial character whod take ANYTHING, she has limitations (not eating berries) so you'll have to work around said limits. Atul...OMG I LOVE THIS GUY. He is your big softie of an uncle! He plays the flute and does handiwork around the boat. And I would say the easiest to appease. He takes most to any food you give him (sometimes he gets picky but thats rare) and is ALWAYS there to hug. His company is nice cause while everyone is specific on what they like/dislike, this guys bio literally states he loves everything and dislikes nothing. Ill probably be sobbing on my bed for 3 weeks after he leaves me Summer is the smartest character design ever (she's literally a GARDENER SNAKE. She is the Gardener of the boat!) And such a sweetheart. She IS vegetarian, which gives you a reason to be gardening if she's on your boat. I haven't done much for her yet, but I will start learning about her soon! And lastly Astrid. I am yet to really understand her as a character, but were getting there! They do dislike fancy foods however. HIGHLY recommend this game! Its on most platforms (Switch, PS4, PC, Xbox -its on Gamepass!-) and is just the game for people who like games such as Animal Crossing
I just got the game and it looks VERY emotional. I have autism so I got it to learn and I’m about to start playing it. Any hints or suggestions as to best order to do things on your schedule for the day ahead? Would really appreciate advice, please and thank you 😊
Hey there! I might be late because you posted this two weeks ago, but in case you still want advice, I'd recommend doing character requests during the day and boat management during the night. I personally found it easier this way because I spent a lot of time exploring islands and doing minigames, but I still needed time to farm and make food for my passengers! Speaking of, this was something I noticed late-game but would've liked to know early on; you can determine how hungry or full someone is with the apple icon in the menu that opens when you interact with them. For example, if the apple is at its core, then they're starving, but if it's an uneaten apple, then they're full!
What a huge Disappointment this turned out to quickly be. If you think you are in for a deep and immersive game. Well after only minutes you realize that what you see is not going anywhere fast. An extremely slow paced Indie game that might seem to offer a new feeling to a new game. Yet in reality you are facing imminent boredom. Your ship is an awkward cut out that belongs in a pop up book. Your only excitement which repeats annoyingly, is trying to catch something flying by you. You soon hope that you will find out that the game will open up if you can just reach shore. Wrongful thinking. You find out that the pointless point and click on land, was designed for 7 year olds from the start. Achievements are zero as you find one belittling item and have to rush back to that .,*&= ship again. No I do not recommend this game to any age groups. It’s shallow and frustrating how unadventurous a game can become. I’m actually writing this more out of frustration, seeing it on Editors choice, where it certainly sh not be.
I nearly cried while playing this game partly because I got so attached to the frog one so when he left I got so sad for like a week
u mean uncle atul? ;-;
I'm just organizing the dinner now...

I'd love to see a Ghibli style Japanese game like this!
Maybe it's not in the exact style you've mentioned, but I'd recommend "Okami"
Not like Spiritfarer at all- but Studio Ghibli did animate a game called Ni No Kuni
@@cezannesmith4093I get the ghibi aspect, more with the music tho. that’s coming from someone who’s watched spirited away at least 20 times XD
I really like this game for switch.... but it's free on Xbox game pass, rip my poor switch
I just installed this game last night.
I, also, feel like I've been abnormally emotional lately.
I'm guessing this game isn't going to help. Lol
You should’ve had 1mil views on this as this game is amazing and video is even better! Thanks so much

Thanks for this video :) I now look forward to playing this game even more!
Can anyone tell me how we can get a. Big grid all of my building and not fitting
This is my new favorite game, I can't recommend it enough!
Beautifully explained.
My only issue with this game is that the late game platforming challenges are inordinately hard (for me that is).
Do you need a controller for the PC version or you can use the keyboard?
Easy playing with keyboard.
I think a controller is easier
I really doubt you're still looking for a response, but you can use keyboard (but a second player can play as the cat with a controller)
I subscribed. This is an A+ video and I look forward to seeing more
I miss stanley 😭
I really appreciate your review
I own this game and Journey and this is far more emotion-invoking than Journey. Journey is still a great game though, just not as emotional.
can this game play offline sir?
@@challengerross thanks sir
