I enjoy your videos. I’ve been a die hard Beatles bootleg collector since April of 1989. Now before that, I had purchased all the bands commercial releases. . Nothing fancy mind you but all the EMI albums. Some mono some stereo. Anyway , when it comes to bootleg factory pressed CDs I’m more detailed oriented. I find your channel very informative and entertaining. Thank you.
If you're looking for that 1964 blue inner sleeve, try other Capitol albums from the era. I have a copy of Meet The Beatles and The Beatles Second Album, both with that 1964 blue inner sleeve. Ironically, my Something New album has a yellow inner as it's from 1966.
I found this cover print number information. I think it is accurate. 2, 3 - Scranton, Pennsylvania record plant 4, 9, 16 - Jacksonville, Illinois record plant 5, 6, 18 - Los Angeles, California record plant 11, 12, 21 - Winchester, Virginia record plant
Could I make a suggestion? Could you possibly consider giving a few facts and or dates of all vinyl and cds? I like to see the records but I would also appreciate learning something.
I just checked on what US Beatles albums I might be lacking , and Something New is the only one missing from my collection. I am just after your opinion, please, of which version of Something New sounds better. Is it best listened to in mono or in stereo ? ps, I am here in Australia and I am used to the UK mixes/ albums so I thought I would ask an American such as yourself. Thanks.
@@phillipanderson7398 thanks for checking out my video since you’re used to the UK versions I recommend the Mono also hard to find a clean copy without paying a lot of money. Good luck.
@@thinkbeatles Hi, thanks for getting back so soon. I will now start looking for a mono version of Something New in at least VG plus to Excellent condition. I also don't have the soundtrack albums of Hard Day's Night or Help! yet as they are only soundtracks albums and not a high priority.
Crap or not crap the US albums are what most of us grew up on and that sound is what we were used to . Remember a lot of us just had record players and AM radio and not stereo systems so we didn't care
@@jimk2000 Yeah, that was true at that time but we have better equipment, these days. I’m Australian, no one but Americans will want these and only a fraction of… I mean The Beatles Story album ??!! Who gives a f…?
@spaceengineer1452 obviously you don't but some fans will. It is part of the nostalgia which you just don't get....anyway you have the UK box sets in Stereo and Mono and the Japanese Box sets also various German pressings, Dr. Ebbetts versions, Nimbus, Audio 5, Mobile Fidelity in addition to hundreds of rips available of all the albums on line so why so concerned about the Capital versions
@@jimk2000 Because they should be catering to EVERY country. Not just America. It’s a big world. I’m Australian , for instance. Elitism is wrong. That’s why.
