Is it true that you can get even middle depth cranks (8-15ft or so) to go deeper by letting out more line or is the depth soley based on what it says on the package when you buy it?

Generally speaking most crank baits have a maximum practical depth which is shown on the package, after that point, say 120 feet of line out the dive curve essentially flattens.

Use a bottom bouncer or lead core line to get it down

You can buy dots that you put on lures to weight them down a bit and get them to dive deeper. Not sure how it affects the action though.

@@dshre4der Below dams are great places for walleye. The current areas below Truman dam and down towards the main lake. Walleye like moving water. Snap Jigging narrow swimbaits or Jigging Raps (if the bottom is too rocky or has wood, don't use these). Also, dragging a jig and minnow or crawler is always a good bet. I've never fished this lake, just suggestions at what may work. For bass, any bridges can be magnets for bait fish and...bass. Swimbaits (1/8 to 1/4 to 3/8oz jigs and 3-4" swimbaits) or even umbrella rigs around the bridge pilings could work great.
