Thank you! I used this video to replace the transmission mount on my 2011 corolla. My car was vibrating while stopped in drive or reverse and changing the mount ended about 80% of the vibration. All other mounts seem to still have life in them. My car has 160k miles.

Hi. This could be caused by a few things from my experience:
a. Low transmission fluid will cause shifting to occur at higher rpm's causing it to jerk.
b. A broken transmission mount will cause rough shifting for the simple reason that it is off its mount.
c. A stuck governor will also cause rough shifting.
The engine and transmission mounts are responsible for holding the engine and transmission in place. Over time, these mounts can wear out or become damaged, leading to excessive movement and causing jerking when shifting gears.
2009 Toyota Corolla has 4 mounts installed: 3 for the engine and 1 for the transmission.

Had vibrations when accelerating and when holding brake down when at stop light but no vibration when I kept it in neutral and no vibration when in reverse. Changed the motor mounts and the transmission mount and now the vibrations stopped but now it vibrates when only in reverse gear and briefly when I apply the brake to stop. Any ideas??

Κ. Γιάννη καλησπέρα. Στο Corolla μου στο ξεκίνημα με πρώτη ταχύτητα το αυτοκίνητο χοροπηδάει κάποιες φορές. Δίσκο πλατό είχα αλλάξει μετά από 150.000 χιλιόμετρα πριν μερικούς μήνες φυσιολογικά. Τώρα σκέφτομαι για τη βάση του σασμάν γιατί εκτός από το τράνταγμα αρκετές φορές ακούω και έναν ανεπαίσθητο ήχο σαν κλακ από τα αριστερά. Θα μπορούσε να έχει σχέση;
Μπορεί να οφείλεται σε κακή τοποθέτηση/εγκατάσταση του σετ συμπλέκτη (δίσκος, πλάκα πίεσης και ρουλεμάν συμπλέκτη) ή σε ελαττωματικό υλικό τριβής δίσκου συμπλέκτη ή σε ελάττωμα της πλάκας πίεσης (ή σε συνδυασμό και των δύο). Θα μπορούσε επίσης να προκληθεί από διαρροή λαδιού που επηρεάζει την πλάκα του συμπλέκτη. Για αυτόν τον λόγο έλεγξε την στάθμη λαδιού κιβωτίου ταχυτήτων και του κινητήρα για τυχόν διαρροές. Εάν υπάρχει πρόβλημα με τον συμπλέκτη, θα πρέπει να μάθετε εάν πρόκειται για μηχανικό πρόβλημα ή εάν η πρόσοψη του συμπλέκτη έχει επηρεαστεί.

Κάθε πότε αλλάζονται οι βάσεις? Έχουν κάποια συμπτώματα ? Γιατί δεν έχουν συγκεκριμένα διαστήματα αλλαγής..
Οι βάσεις του κινητήρα στα περισσότερα οχήματα έχουν σχεδιαστεί για να απομονώνουν τις κανονικές κινήσεις και τους κραδασμούς του κινητήρα από το πλαίσιο και το σώμα του οχήματος, έτσι ώστε ο οδηγός του οχήματος να μην τις αισθάνεται. Σε ορισμένα οχήματα οι βάσεις κινητήρα είναι κατασκευασμένες από συμπαγές καουτσούκ και άλλες μπορεί να είναι κοίλο καουτσούκ με υγρό γέμισμα. Τα συμπαγή καουτσούκ χρησιμοποιούνται στους περισσότερους κινητήρες οχημάτων, ενώ τα γεμάτα υγρά χρησιμοποιούνται σε οχήματα που χρειάζονται επιπλέον μόνωση μεταξύ κινητήρα και αμαξώματος. Οι βάσεις του κινητήρα υπόκεινται σε φθορά ανάλογα με την ηλικία και τον τρόπο οδήγησης του οχήματος. Ένα όχημα με χειροκίνητο κιβώτιο ταχυτήτων μπορεί να σπάει συχνότερα τις βάσεις του κινητήρα, ανάλογα με την κατάχρηση από την αλλαγή ταχυτήτων. Ακριβώς όπως τα παλιά ελαστικά αρχίζουν να στεγνώνουν, σαπίζουν και σπάνε, το ίδιο συμβαίνει και με το καουτσούκ των στηριγμάτων κινητήρα. Μια συμπαγής βάση κινητήρα μπορεί να σχιστεί εν μέρει και να εξακολουθεί να λειτουργεί καλά, αλλά μια βάση κινητήρα γεμάτη υγρό θα διαρρέει το υγρό και η βάση κινητήρα δεν θα μειώνει πλέον τους κραδασμούς από τον κινητήρα. Γενικά, οι βάσεις κινητήρα δεν έχουν προγραμματισμένη αντικατάσταση, αλλά θα πρέπει να διαρκέσουν από 5 έως 10 χρόνια πριν από την ξηρή σήψη ή το σπάσιμο από αστοχία που σχετίζεται με την ηλικία. Οι βάσεις μοτέρ μπορεί να σπάσουν από το χτύπημα του οχήματος, τις στροφές των ταχυτήτων και την απελευθέρωση του συμπλέκτη ή το φρενάρισμα του κινητήρα. Οι βάσεις κινητήρα μπορούν επίσης να σπάσουν σε τροχαία ατυχήματα. Εάν οι βάσεις του κινητήρα σπάσουν λόγω απότομης αλλαγής ταχυτήτων, ενδέχεται να καταστραφούν και οι βάσεις του κιβωτίου ταχυτήτων. Έχω δει βάσεις να σπάνε σε ένα χρόνο ή λιγότερο λόγω εξωτερικών αστοχιών. Διαρροές λαδιού κινητήρα ή άλλου υγρού μπορεί να εμφανιστούν στις βάσεις, να φθείρουν το λάστιχο και να προκαλέσουν πρόωρη αστοχία
