It’s a very weird thing. My dad told me when I moved out that you can have people help you pack up, but you must unpack alone because it’s a very vulnerable and revealing process. I never knew what he meant until this game came out and I watched others play it. It tells you a lot about a person!
And if someone else unpacks your stuff, they might organize it in an unsatisfying way or put stuff where you don't want it. It's your things, so you decide where they go. Plus, doing it alone makes for so much more satisfaction and accomplishment!

It's fascinating how much this game can tell a story without using any words at all. It was so sad when the diploma had no space on the walls. I agree. Putting the diploma under the bed made my chest tight 😔 though later seeing her put the pushpin through his face on the photo was a nice subtle touch lol
The thing is that I'm not sure what happened there. They live together for two years and she can move anything of his that she wants. she takes his hoodie and the egg thing from his nightstand when she moves out. I think she still owns the hoodie at the end of the game, even when she's clearly married. Then she has suddenly moved back with her parents and is crippled for life (she has a cane, new medicine, and a heat pack), but she keeps his stuff. His picture has a thumbtack through his face... I think she loved him, but he got her into an accident that was his fault. There's both anger and love there.
You can see that she takes trips to Europe and gets little figures to represent where she visited. She’s also had a pet beetle for like 6 years and painted a picture of it when it died. Also I think the new wife is a musician
I believe she wrote and illustrated a successful children's book actually! You can see the many copies of a certain large light blue book with a piggy on the cover, and there's a poster that looks to be an article of an interview with her (you can see her minimalistic figure on it, with the bobbed brown hair on it). Or, alternatively, she illustrates it and her wife writes it, because I believe the writing stuff comes with her moving in (there's a pen and a lil flipnote) but it could just be that she got into writing. There's also a book with the title "TY PE" which I think is about writing so!
@@itsa-mea-marion7653 her wife works on tv or movies! She has a film crew shirt and walkie talkies! The main girl is the one who writes the song at the end! She picks up a ukulele when she is with the ex boyfriend ( he plays guitar. )
@@itsa-mea-marion7653 Type is about graphic design (TrueType font). The MC clearly majored in art, stick with it while working a supermarket job, had a climbing incident that left her with chronic back pain and partial walking disability, worked through a bad relationship with a selfish man, moved back home, explored her identity, started working as a designer (the business cards), rented a fixer-upper apartment, found a girlfriend who later moved in with her, published a children book (new business cards), they moved to a larger, better house, and had a baby via surrogacy. All this narrated just via 20 years of unpacked belongings.
I love how it tells a story without words. Like first you're a kid moving into your first solo room. It implies you have siblings and have just moved. The toys and other personal items show you're a fun and happy kiddo that likes to doodle. Then it's time for Uni. You have many more art supplies. Maybe you went to an art school? You are like any struggling student, with your mismatched glasses and hangers. But you also have your first PC! It's so huge! Too cool! Then you merge into a house with 2 roommates. One uses masc bathroom essentials, the other uses fem essentials. You have to find a way to respect their stuff but also feel at home. They can be messy but they love DnD as much as you do! And you don't have to go to the coin laundromat anymore! Then you move in with a special someone. Their style is minimalistic, dark, and trendy. Do your things clash here? They are okay with you moving some of their stuff to make room for your things but "don't go crazy!" There isn't a place for your art supplies or your degree but you push on, even as you shove them deep into the closet. Sadly this relationship doesn't work out and you move back in with your parents. Your old room seemed so much bigger when you were a kid. Your mom's sewing stuff still needs a home but at least you can spread out your art supplies and enjoy the space. Then you move into a cheap apartment. You have no living room furniture and the kitchen is extremely outdated but for the first time in your life the space is 100% yours. Then you meet them. They have cool interests and love movies. And they respect your interests too. You finally got a couch and a few other things to make things feel more like a home. Their stuff fits in well with your own. You help them move in their many plants to a good home with lots of light. And put up their degree next to yours. You're glad they dress similarly because your wardrobe just got twice as big! Eventually you both want to grow together, as a family. You buy a house and move in. It's truly your home together. And you are both very excited for your adoption to go through. The nursery is decorated. And you recently got your children's book published. The sales helped pay for the house. You feel at peace here, in this place with your family. They are your home. I love how the characters hobbies develop too. As a kid they played soccer and that carried on into uni. When they move in with their roommates they tried climbing and yoga. But only the yoga stuck. They get into more spiritual things and find the things that matter to them along the way. I love that.
This game, in spite of being incredibly simplistic, is very deep and revealing. 10/10, very cute game that will always have a space on my xbox, even if I won't play it again for a long time and I need space, because it's earned my respect.
You also pick up products and habits from the people you've lived with, like buying the pink brand of body wash that your DnD roommate used, or drinking French press coffee after living with your coffee snob SO.
Seeing that the protag have a walking stick, she could be in some sort of accident causing her to give up on climbing and turn to more spiritual hobbies.
The part where you put the university degree under the bed brought back memories. My ex-husband didn't have a degree and he didn't want mine displayed in the house. He said it was disrespectful.
Good to see that ex- prefix there, then. My significant other doesn't have a degree either, but he would scream his pride in me for mine from the mountaintops. Your partner should always want to support your achievement.
This game is detailed enough to where the high-end apartment in the city has soft close drawers. The low rent apartment when she moves out of her parents' place doesn't.
@fynn eden same thing with toilet lids. My parents have soft close lids so whenever I would go back to my college apartment after a break I would just drop the lid like I do at home. _CRASH_ 😬

i love how that house feels a bit empty in some places until the girlfriend move in, and how the gf's stuff feels like it goes along with your theme, and it's so different from the bf. this game is so cool
I love the Jewish representation in this game so much!!! The dreidel, the menorah, I never see casual Judaism like this in media that is not specifically ABOUT being Jewish
And LGBTQ+ representation! (The pictures on the fridge in the last level have 2 girls kissing and the second girl who is moving in is obviously the girlfriend of the main character)
@@happytimesonlines you're not serious right? Force feeding LGBTQ plus stuff into every facet of modern life is causing massive problems. Teachers are being fired. Businesses are failing. People are offing themselves. What people seem to think, is that a game is special if a character looks like them, or sounds like them, or thinks like them. But that is only meant to go so far. While it sounds great to make every character a special form of colored, queer, disabled, or unique. It literally only appeals to that small group. Now it's not representing the majority?
I did not notice it, But I thought that by new clothes. I would love more stories for this game, different people cultures, maybe with pets. It is so relaxing.
2:03:45 made me so soft :') saying "I have a drawer free for you- I have tons of space for you" when we watched just a bit ago her unpack with distress into an unwelcoming home that didn't even have room for her diploma on the wall is so beautiful and shows so much difference between the player/protag and her ex :)
Fun Tip: This is the best Gab video to watch while stoned out of your mind. I have not moved a single muscle in the last 3hrs. I've never felt more invested in anything ever. There is only. Unpack.
The brown case you put in the closets is an Art Portfolio! :) I also just realised that about the time the pain patches showed up...as well as the walking cane? You stopped seeing the soccer ball. She must have gotten an injury and had to stop playing. The rock climbing stuff vanished as well.
I also noticed that! And she also sooner got some meds that looked somewhat like back pain stuff(?), as well as a sticky pad in the tub, so she wouldn’t slip. Maybe she got some back or joint problems, but i’m only guessing
One of the things about the story that I don't think many people realized was that she's grown taste for coffe after living with her lover for two years and then when she moved alone after her parents house, she bought the same beans of coffe as the ones in her ex's house. Such a beautiful way of storytelling!
Gabs watching you organize the clothes in the closet made me so happy because I do the exact same thing. Long sleeves on one side and fancy shirts must be hung. I felt like someone finally understands my organization process.💕
I would love to see expansions of this in various places. It would be so fun to set up like a big fancy house, and then do something totally different. Places from different parts of the world. Or to be able to pick and choose sets of what you want in your house. Ahhh the possibilities would be endless!
This is really interesting - as an artist myself I put all the art stuff where it's as accessible and close as possible, so like, everything is in the table, and I see non artist players put the art stuff in storage. From experience though, having everything be accessible is good because sometimes ya gotta force yourself to draw because you've had an art block for 3 weeks and it lessens the amount of steps to do.
Yesssssss. The casual disregard for how an artist sets a desk was *painful*. Like in the boyfriends place I would have claimed the couch and coffee table or the kitchen bench for my desk. That hurt more than not having a spot for the diploma. And speaking of which...this game made me realize something about my own boyfriend. Slightly different situation, but similar enough to make my decision.
I remember playing this game and how excited I was when I saw that the main person we’ve been following got a gf, and eventually, a wife!! So nice to see people like me in games, as casual as any other kind of relationship. Such a good game!
I like how the character switches brands overtime for example she starts using the shampoo/conditioner that 1 of her roommates uses in the dorm room and she starts buying the coffee that her ex bf drinks!
I think a way they could rediscover this game for a second one would be the same concept, except in each step, there's two boxes of the same category like, two boxes of hobbies or something, and there's only room for X amount of stuff and you have to chose to keep or throw some things, which change the outcome of what happens later. I think that'd be rad
Yes! Like with the boyfriend thing you can choose to try and make room for the degree or throw it in a storage box. Or to make room for a new partner you have to toss some of your stuff. Depending on how you play it you end up in a final apartment alone or in a house with a family. I think it would be cute
Your playthrough is the only one that I agree with 100%. It's the small details the really count, and omg the _satisfaction_ of seeing your decisions match mine really made my day!
I have played this game countless of times and have watched so many streams of this game and I still get emotional at the ending every time. One of my favorite things about the game (besides the story/gameplay itself) is hearing all the stories from the person playing. Figuring out which goes where, hearing about their past experiences with moving and old places, etc. There is something so communal about this game. I am so glad you finally played it! Was a blast to watch on stream.
Oh my. That dedication at the end. In loving memory of their grandmother. Dedicating a game about the progression of life to a passed grandparent. I teared up a little.
Gab's hatred of the giant spaghetti pot is hilarious, because I have an almost identical one, and it was a coveted pot between my sibling and myself (my family used it every year at Christmastime for tamales, and occasionally for spaghetti). The sibling called dibs, but I ended up calling right of 'I'm moving out first between the two of us, so I get first pick of kitchen items.' So every time Gab groans about 'Why do you own this, there's nowhere to put it,' I just end up laughing to myself going 'That's an essential kitchen item, everyone needs one.'
I loved playing this game and all the small touches. I’m pretty sure it’s Australian, and in the level where she moves in with the boyfriend there are Kiwi and Australian magnets on the fridge, it made me happy.
When she moved in with her DnD friends there was a silver fern on the fridge and one on the wall plus the koala. My dad is from NZ and it made me really happy to see the kiwi and the silver fern
I absolutely love this game. It's so simple, but it manages to tell such a great story without needing a bunch of glitz and glam. I also love to clean and organize, so this is very much a comfort game for me. I could spend hours reorganizing my room after cleaning it, if I let myself.
I must admit, when I first saw this title advertised, I did have some doubts if the premise of unpacking stuff and placing it all in a room could be compelling enough to warrant an entire game. But I was surprised by the subtle storytelling going on here. It was a lot more meditative and calmly amusing than I thought it'd be.
You are my cats' favorite TH-camr because you play a lot of point and click games. They sit on the entertainment center and watch you move the mouse on the screen for HOURS. It's adorable.
Paused this 30 minutes in, went and bought the game and played it bc I could tell it was something I wanted to experience for myself. Back now to finish watching the vod! Thanks for introducing me to such a fun, satisfying, and emotionally compelling game.
im not entirely sure why but this game really hit me in such a special place. i found myself crying. its such a cool experience to see this story of someones life unfold and its such a touching one at that. it hit quite close to home as well which was another part of the reason it was such a beautiful little story watching these different events in this persons life unfold. and gosh the characters interests and even life events ended up so similar (like scarily similar) to mine that it almost felt like i was taking a little walk through my own life. its such a wholesome little game but it also manages to evoke such strong emotions at the same time which is such a wonderful thing. this game will probably go down as one of my favourites for quite awhile
I have had my closet organized for years the way Gab organizes a closet. I have separate places for bras, underwear, and socks. I have categories. Long sleeved shirts are together. Tank tops are together in one drawer. T shirts are together in another. Jeans and non formal pants are in the top drawer of my dresser. Nicer shirts are hung up along with skirts and more formal pants, jackets, long sleeve shirts. I have an entirely different part of my closet for pajamas and shoes. I don't even have that large a closet but I make it work for me.
I've been waiting for you to play this game!! I've seen so many people say great things about it but wanted to wait and see if any if my comfort streamers would play.
Okay but did anyone else notice that for that last house Gab played for so long that the sun set outside the windows! I love the little details of this game.
So happy to see you play this game! I love chill pixel games, i love "show don't tell" games and i love how when people play them it opens up a new side of them because it either provokes them to speak about things related to the game (kida like how you talked a bit about how nice the mc's parents are) or they just need to fill the silence. Also about things where "here i don't care, but here i want everything to be perfect", for me it was watching you unpack pretty much everything vs art supplies. I have this thing where if my art supplies aren't in the nearest vicinity of me (aka on my table) I will not be able to use them, bc I either forget they exist or my brain goes "too much effort, your markers are on that shelf and you are not getting up". So it wasn't even "hoW cAn yoU do ThaT" more like "i would never put my markers there that would never work". I'd totally fill the whole table in that office with markers and stuff, just so the mc can reach them. Really interesting to watch!
I appreciate the game showing different brands and our lovely protagonist changing brands/products over the years, finding what they like best. (Namely, their shampoo-type products) Very realistic! I love this game ^^
We must have all been affected by Toy Story in the same way. They are friends. We cannot separate our stuffies. They must be able to snuggle while we are away.
I'm a guy of nearly 50. And if my bears and other stuffed animals aren't looking happy and comfortable, then I'm not either. A teddy bear that has been with you for decades, through thick and thin, never complaining and always there to support you in times of need can be a very emotional thing. And very easy to anthropomorphise. 🥰
Omg, I think the couple released a book together at the end! The partner wrote it, and the player character (does it count as a player character if you don't actually play AS them?) illustrated it! The player character was very artsy as they grew up, had lots of art supplies and drawings that they did through the years, and their partner brought the pen and notepad with them, hinting that they're into writing.
If you look really closely at the book series in the baby room, it’s the pig character that she’s been drawing since she was little, possibly based off her childhood stuffed animal
This was actually pretty moving, last year I moved back into to my mom's house, she obviously offered me the place without a doubt, I was in a serious relationship but that didn't end up well, seeing all my stuff in boxes, was kinda shocking, then unpacking, put my clothes onto the old closet, trying to find spaces for my new stuff, trying to rearrange things that I thought would never come back to this house. Maaan, moving in or moving out can be as exciting as really really sad
This is the only video I've watched in the last two weeks that has been able to calm my mind. My dad passed away two weeks ago and it has been constant thoughts, decicisions, sadness, family and everything since. Watching this, I'm able to breathe and focus on only this. I just wanted to let you know this has made a world of difference for me. You are amazing, I hope you put out your content as long as you can/find it fulfilling. ❤
Just got this on Friday and already played it through a couple of times. You spot different little details every time and there's different achievements to collect. It's a lovely, lovely game.
This game kinda makes you see things in your life in a different light. Everything seems so new and almost non-important but as you go through more and more houses they become more and more special, almost making it seem sad that those times are gone and will never come back... It's cute and nostalgic but sad and makes you think about how fast things come and go, love it. 💛
oh Lord during the final stage where Gabs was organizing the house (and especially the bedroom), I was agonizing so much over why the mommy Chicken were separated from the baby chicken on the windowsill HAHAHAHA.
I've been watching you play some cozy games the last couple days because I've been a little overstimulated in my daily life. I very much appreciate your kind energy in times like this. You're by far my favourite comfort streamer, I love to see your perspective in games like this
37:55 possibly lol, but there are other roommates too. I love how eventhough you can't move other ppl's stuff, they made the space for you while 46:00 the boyfriend made no space for you and so you have to move everything around just to be able to have space in his life
This game has shades of relateability written all over it. Year after year, moving to different places, it seems like anytime you move somewhere new, your life kinda starts from scratch, you meet new people and all that stuff. This game tells a story.
OMG, I suggested this long ago and thought you had skipped this incredible game. I'm so glad you finally got around to playing this. The game has such a relaxing and beautiful way to tell its story. Love your video as always.
The creators of the game really thought this through, they wanted to make a story and the little details really tell you a lot about how she grows and has problems, moves in with her parents, starts a business, how she likes gaming. It’s really interesting. i also love how each year she gets a souvenir from europe to add to her collection
I really like when you play these calm cute games in between the other series on the channel. It’s like a nice relaxing break before getting back into other series. I like playing other games while having you in the background too, like you’re a friend playing with me but obviously another game lol. Your reactions too are hilarious and relatable so it make things overall enjoyable. Thank you for making videos it really helps some of us ❤️
I love how in the last house she puts the whales in the dining room next to each other as if they are a couple. I only saw them as bookends, maybe because the tails are up so they would be able to support tall books. At one point she says she needs to move them, then forgets about it. I wonder what she would have done if she did move them. I think when I was younger I would have been a jerk about what goes where and why, but nowadays it sparks joy for me to see her placing things where they spark joy for her. Giving someone else the freedom to place stuff is like giving a gift, the joy for the giver comes in seeing the self-expression of the receiver in the way she enjoys the gift.
This game does a good job of telling a story without you even realizing it. Like the fact that your new BF wouldn't let you hang your diploma, how you had to move back into your parents house, you starting a new relationship with a woman, and having a child together. my friend and I played this together (we'd each play the levels side by side, then compare) My theme was to always have the stuffed animals on the bed to see their progress over the years. (I also hid one of each of the BF's shoes in different parts of the house)
This game is super cute and intriguing, with how it tells the story with just it's items and environment. I also love how organised you are with placing things a certain way and colour coordinated etc. It was also super easy to lose myself watching this.. I have been watching this over a few days during work lunch breaks and often get disappointed when I have to stop it, or even lose track of time a little. Such a good video! Thanks for sharing this fun little experience with us!

As someone who moved out for the school year for the first time, the whole dorm room experience hit pretty hard. I was just hit with a wave of the same feeling I felt then. Kinda lost in the beginning but seeing your room complete was such a gratifying experience 💜
I know this is a year-old video and you probably don't need me throwing money at you but this is such a nice game. I love the representation in this game as well, the main character is jewish, and possibly bi/pan/lesbian, living happily ever after with her girlfriend/wife 🥰
This is like the perfect video to sit and watch when you wanna relax. The quiet music, your soft voice, and just watching you place everything with such care(except for the kitchen but who cares about a stinky kitchen). This is wonderful and I'm glad I randomly found you playing.
I keep coming back to this video like its a little comfy movie.. your commentary along with your impeccable organization skills just really helps build a calming space for me to relax and vibe in... I love having this going on in the background as I either clean or create things in my house.
Honestly if there were just a ton of rooms/stories like this (same mechanics, aesthetics, etc) I would eat it up. For now I'll keep replaying this game lol
As a chronic pain sufferer one of my favorite little details is that the protagonist has chronic pain or mobility issues as well. It’s hard to notice at first, but you see her unpacking medications and heating pads/hot water bottles and what looks like IcyHot and by the end she has a cane, either meaning her pain has gotten worse, or she needed a mobility aid all along and could finally get it

It’s a very weird thing. My dad told me when I moved out that you can have people help you pack up, but you must unpack alone because it’s a very vulnerable and revealing process. I never knew what he meant until this game came out and I watched others play it. It tells you a lot about a person!

I was surprised Gab didn't comment on the trip to Netherlands the MC took, resulting in the windmill souvenir.
I love that.
this comment made me want to cry!!! :')
This game, in spite of being incredibly simplistic, is very deep and revealing. 10/10, very cute game that will always have a space on my xbox, even if I won't play it again for a long time and I need space, because it's earned my respect.
This is such a nice comment! Beautifully written, I love the storytelling 😊❤️
And that’s why he’s an EX ❤️❤️
I was making his and hers shelves until that part and then I was like fuck this dude, and put his shit in piles and hung all mine
@@thatgirlwithbluehair Oh, in the game! I thought you meant irl for a sec. 😅
I was so pissed playing the game when I had to put my degree under the bed.
"Is this a lady that's moving in? Because everything seems so... nice so far" made me and my bisexual ass laugh so hard because truth but also oof lol
This game is detailed enough to where the high-end apartment in the city has soft close drawers. The low rent apartment when she moves out of her parents' place doesn't.
I also like the fact that if you look out windows it actually gets darker outside as time passes
@fynn eden same thing with toilet lids. My parents have soft close lids so whenever I would go back to my college apartment after a break I would just drop the lid like I do at home. _CRASH_ 😬

I love the LGBTQ in this game
There's actually different quotes depending on where you "ended" the unpacking (the place pictured)
i love how that house feels a bit empty in some places until the girlfriend move in, and how the gf's stuff feels like it goes along with your theme, and it's so different from the bf. this game is so cool

What people seem to think, is that a game is special if a character looks like them, or sounds like them, or thinks like them. But that is only meant to go so far.
While it sounds great to make every character a special form of colored, queer, disabled, or unique. It literally only appeals to that small group. Now it's not representing the majority?
@@squizzyicetea ok but im just saying in the game it’s kinda obvious it’s 2 girls.

Among the many little details to catch on, she stole her ex-boyfriend's incense dispenser and took it with her throughout all the subsequent moves.
@Kumagoro42 she also took his white hoodie
Fun Tip: This is the best Gab video to watch while stoned out of your mind. I have not moved a single muscle in the last 3hrs. I've never felt more invested in anything ever. There is only. Unpack.

I also just realised that about the time the pain patches showed up...as well as the walking cane? You stopped seeing the soccer ball. She must have gotten an injury and had to stop playing. The rock climbing stuff vanished as well.
OMG I didn’t even think of that 🥺
That's when she takes up a milder yoga and has 1 lb weights (probably for physical therapy) as well
I’ve also noticed a wrist brace in the house; likely due to strain on the wrist from drawing digitally
I also noticed that! And she also sooner got some meds that looked somewhat like back pain stuff(?), as well as a sticky pad in the tub, so she wouldn’t slip. Maybe she got some back or joint problems, but i’m only guessing
This makes me think that she might have injured herself while rock climbing
I played this for a whole day straight! It's so addictive and relaxing! I hope they release dlcs with more levels.
Yessss🥰🥰🥰
Ooo yes! Or even a sequel. ♡
We need an old people house
I know maybe even branch off into different stories and characters!
Stories with other main characters, would be so cool. Maybe even possible this game became pretty popular
I'm not gonna lie, I did tear up a bit at her putting the stuffed piggy she took with her everywhere from childhood in her baby's crib :_)_______
One of the things about the story that I don't think many people realized was that she's grown taste for coffe after living with her lover for two years and then when she moved alone after her parents house, she bought the same beans of coffe as the ones in her ex's house. Such a beautiful way of storytelling!
It looks like she picked up music from him too.
My favourite is that she stole one of his tea towels. Lmao!

I do this too!!

Watching non artists play this makes me twitch when they get to the tablet and art supplies. We NEED those things! Don’t hide them away!
I remember playing this game and how excited I was when I saw that the main person we’ve been following got a gf, and eventually, a wife!! So nice to see people like me in games, as casual as any other kind of relationship. Such a good game!
I did a blind playthrough and I was absolutely delighted by the unexpected representation!
That’s a really cool idea
Or a moving out version where you have to decide whether to keep some things or get rid of them.
Must have the big spaghetti pot. I love that pot. xD
I loved playing this game and all the small touches. I’m pretty sure it’s Australian, and in the level where she moves in with the boyfriend there are Kiwi and Australian magnets on the fridge, it made me happy.
I noticed the Silverfern flag on the wall in the lounge as well during one of thr level which made me think of NZ.
It is 😊 WitchBeam are based in Brisbane, Australia!
Watching the character fall in love and move in with plant-loving lover really warmed my heart.
To me the plants represent the new partner bringing new life and love into the home that would only grow ❤️
Watching her put the hairbrush in an already claimed drawer absolutely killed me

@@probably_beth My comfort streamers/youtubers r Gab and John Wolfe

I find it interesting that in every playthrough I've watched, everyone always puts the stuffed animals together :)
It is law. They're having a very important meeting.
Gab, you’re so charming and fun! People would watch a baking video with you simply because you’re in it; doesn’t matter what you’re baking 😊

I loved this game so much. The environmental storytelling was absolutely on point and actually made me emotional. Great video Gab! We appreciate you!

I’ve seen so many people play this game but I always watch again because it’s so chill and I love peoples reactions to where they put the stuff!
Thank you for making videos it really helps some of us ❤️
end of this game made me cry
I’m such an emotional trainwreck lol
Her putting the frog plushie on the bed and the little laugh she made was the purest and most wholesome thing ever, bless I love this video
This is such a "feel-good" game for me to watch her play.
I played this game on my xbox and loved it, such a change of pace for me who usually played shooters and adventure games. I really enjoyed it, and I never thought anyone would make a video on it, but I'm happy to see you make a one. It's interesting to see how other people organize thigns :D
As someone who moved out for the school year for the first time, the whole dorm room experience hit pretty hard. I was just hit with a wave of the same feeling I felt then. Kinda lost in the beginning but seeing your room complete was such a gratifying experience 💜
Does anyone else feel the need to reorganize their rooms while/after watching this?
this is my comfort video :3 , I find myself coming back to this video multiple times. it is so calming.
Unpacking was one of my favorite gaming experiences last year, so happy to see that you're playing it!
Honestly if there were just a ton of rooms/stories like this (same mechanics, aesthetics, etc) I would eat it up. For now I'll keep replaying this game lol
It felt weird to play this game myself considering it starts the year I was born lol. So glad you are playing this game though I loved playing it!
The game, the music, and Gab's soft voice make this all so cozy. Like- this is basically videoform antidepressant for me.
As a chronic pain sufferer one of my favorite little details is that the protagonist has chronic pain or mobility issues as well. It’s hard to notice at first, but you see her unpacking medications and heating pads/hot water bottles and what looks like IcyHot and by the end she has a cane, either meaning her pain has gotten worse, or she needed a mobility aid all along and could finally get it
I literally just started playing this as im sick in bed! And i just LOVE games like this!! The freedom to customise and organise to your hearts desire! Putting my bras in colour order, making sure bug spray isnt around food😭🤌🏾
Just got to 2010 and now they let you move and organise already placed furniture ASWELL AS boxed stuff?!?! Being sick in bed means i can spend 3hrs organising one room😭😭😭
Such a relaxing game 😊
Edit: It's amazing how they still have a lot of things from when they were young 😅 the only things I have from my childhood until now are my game consoles 😁
This is my comfort video🥺
I watch it all the time when I’m going to sleep💕
Ugh I love this game so much, nearly cried on stream ngl. I haven’t gotten through the video yet but I hope you love it!!!
this game is so cool because you get to watch as this person grows up too. like it’s so cool to see what they keep and value, what goes, what activities they get into, the kind of people they move in with, etc etc. like the climbing stuff, we see them get into that. and the figuring they keep for a while or the keyboard and mouse/mousepady they keep. and even the way the people they move in with are messy or the mens shampoo and whatnot. it’s so personal and i’m obsessed
When I single indie game can tell a better story with no dialogue than any popular franchises notoriously known for its lore
This game does environmental storytelling so well. I really appreciate that about it. ❤
10 minutes in and can't wait for you to see certain parts of this game! I loved when you went 'I didn't know we were a lady' because the first thing I thought during this game was 'WE HAVE TITS" which is basically the same thing 😆love all the long videos and series lately, very delightful during exam season.. grading work is stressful to say the least!
I love that there are little things that stay with you either the whole time or for a very long time, like the stuffed pig and chickens, the Tower of Pisa and Eiffel Tower figurines, the d20, and the little bus.
There’s a specific mug (purple I think) that started as a regular kitchen mug but got a chip in it and was turned into a holder for toothbrushes
The story was so sweet!!! No words yet you understand the whole story!
watching this while i unpack my kiddo’s bedroom in our new house 🥹 also, i’ve always watched Jack and didn’t wanna just follow Gab based on that alone but I loved this whole vibe so much, I’m absolutely a Gab stan now.
You can absolutely just bake and we’ll be here for it. You don’t have to try to be different or interesting, you already are!
I've only got to the second level of your playthrough, and already I see so many similarities in your organizational style and mine! Love it.
It's funny to compare you and Sean's video and the differences in organization 😆
