That's part of what Las Vegas (was) known for. Not anymore.

Hi T & D , I was a little surprised to see you at this brunch buffet .The both of you do like crab legs 🦀 I can see why you went there , and gave it a try . Nice to know about the staff being on point.Amazing editing on this video. Safe travels always 🥰
I have stayed at Luxor many times and would tell you that the only good time I had at that Buffet was for breakfast at first opening. Its actually kind of fun with the Egyptian art, but thats where it ends. The food is mediocre at best. Now I do believe you should try Ri Ra in the connecting mall between luxor and Mandalay bay if you are there. They have a Fantastic full english breakfast, and I find the food there much better quality and pricing than in the resort.
They got you at the haunted buffet that is not prime rib. I don’t even even know what part of the beef that is that looks horrible. I would be scared to eat there.😂 They feed people at those casinos anything I never ate there. I usually go to a restaurant.
I am a Vegas resident as well. The last time I went to Luxor buffet was pre-Covid. I believe the price was reasonable around 1495 for lunch. The only thing I remember positive about that buffet is the fact that they had self-serve drinks. I’ve been in many buffets in this town and it takes foreverto get a refill on a drink so being able to self serve really was a blessing. I don’t know if they still do that. I also agree it’s a shame that the buffet is dying out in Vegas. It wasn’t an institution. I remember the Rio seafood buffet in the 90s. That was the best ever.
The Luxor buffet is really your basic type. I only go there when I know I'm getting comped for the meal (usually breakfast) The selection is very low and you can't expect anything 'gourmet'... It's a 'meh' place to eat when you don't want to go too far from the hotel. A definite C- from me. You may be better taking a short walk over to the Excalibur where the selections are a bit better.

I heard Luxor buffet wasn't all that. We tried Imperial sushi and seafood when we were there in August, it was fantastic!! Under $50 and we'll worth it. Huge variety of all sorts. Try it!
That was a ridiculous price for the crab boil. Potatoes, corn, and sausage are cheap. Even the price of the regular buffet is a crime. You can only eat so much.
We had our honeymoon at The Luxor. Given buffet passes for the week. We ate breakfast and usually dinner there because we spent all our money on shows. The quality varies WILDLY depending on the time you go because they don’t turn stuff over if it’s not empty. So stuff could be HOURS old. Other times we managed to get it off a brand new tray and it wasn’t bad at all. Weird it’s tucked in the basement, disappointing quality overall but it kept us going on our adventures all week.
Your tip comment was interesting - makes me want to to say that any budget you might have for a Vegas trip MUST include an added 20% for tips - NOONE does anything for free in Vegas..
Luxor Buffet used to be excellent, but I agree it's way overpriced. I didn't bother to go to it last year when I stayed there. SouthPoint Buffet is very good and reasonably priced.
I love you video and perspective!! I went to breakfast and went upstairs and paid $23 for a 2 pancakes, bacon and an egg!!! I should have stayed in a short line for the buffet!!

Vegas comps,, customer perks, have gone DOWN HILL since it basically is two "Teams" of Casinos.. when they were all independent, they all competed for your dollar, had buffets that made you drool,, comps to keep you playing in their resorts.. now ?? F*CK everyone, we gonna screw you out of every dollar every way possible.. parking fees.. valet fees.. buffets and drink and food costs thru the roof, and NOT in any good way.. Vegas was way better in the 90s...maybe even early 80s... i first went on my own in '85...back when i was married in '90.. Excalibur just opened, and at the time, was the BIGGEST Casino Resort on Earth.... yea.. downhill........ unless you got $25k to piss away every trip..
I wasn't feeling the Buffet staying at the Luxor in 2020. When i went back March of this year still wasn't feeling it, so dip over to Mandalay to the Irish pub for a nighttime Irish breakfast, sadly they was out of the beans 😢 but still worth $25.00.
One thing confuses me about the way Americans eat. Why cut it up with the fork in the left hand and then move it to the right. Why not just put the food in your mouth with the fork in the left hand? Love the videos.
Americans don't eat"European" style. People are predominantly right-handed. So they will use their right hand to cut and to eat w a fork... which is why they switch hands. Left-handed people tend to eat "European" style.
I just returned from Vegas and tried the main street downtown and it must’ve been an off night. Just too much sitting in the pan burn. I have eaten at the Luxor and it was a perfect and spot on review. If I went back for brunch, I would just do the omelette station and salad bar. Funnily enough, when we went to the Luxor most of the people eating that we met were eating off comp tickets lol. And living in Texas, We pronounce that Mexican meatball soup (Al bon Dee Gus) With the emphasis on the first two syllables.
Hi Tanya and Dave, Got Dang! I wish I were there! John Sr., and I love buffets. We just love to eat and love different restaurants! As my best friend Tanya says (in my head only & Dave too😊) Yum yum give me some! 😆 TO THE BEST COUPLE IN THE WORLD! 🌍
I agree, I just came back home today from a visit to LV. Stayed at the Virgin Hotel. I sold the house, cars, dog, and cat. I am just kidding. I haven't been back in 30 years, graduated high school there. Took my daughter for a trip and showed her my old stomping grounds in LV Lol. Of course, a lot has changed. Sending positivity from Texas.
I miss many of the "locals" casino buffets. Green Valley Ranch had a wonderful seafood friday night buffet. The Silverton always had a nice selection and I liked how the buffet was set up. Was recently at both the Palms and Southpoint and between the two I slide towards Southpoint...good variety decent prices.
Dry is a big NO on meat. Timing might have something to do with it. I don't eat much of it, but it has to be juicy and tender. Love pozole. Those cakes look like frozen. Pass. The dessert cakes at most buffets are kinda phoned in. Those red velvet cupcakes look good. They're going to have that "air whipped foamy" cheesecake, not the dense creamyness I'm into. I would not eat anything that I normally eat at home. I don't go to a buffet to eat scrambled eggs and toast. Thanks, guys!!!! Glad you had fun either way!
luxors buffet is a roller coaster. early 2000s it was so good. Then like 2010-2015 it was terrible they cut it down so much. They got rid of the carving station during lunch. The bar there was so reasonable and good drinks. But then 2015 to the pandemic it was really good so much food . The dessert section always was the best in vegas, it was right by the bar. they were all so fancy in the little plastic containers, so much to pick from and so good. but since it reopened post pandemic they cut it in more than half theres not even a dessert section its mixed in the salad bar section and half the size. But no matter when they always had the nicest staff there and its such a cool dining room.
To eat in vegas for 38 bucks is a good deal. Hands down our favorite buffet is BELLAGIO. we like Aria best for breakfast. Mind you, we haven't been since just before covid. My least favorite buffet was flamingo.
Yeah, I thought Luxor would be better than Excalibur and it was terrible! Staff was nice, but I'd never go back without announced changes! Excalibur's Buffet was decent for the price!

I pass on the buffet and for less money I go to an oyster bar and grind for like half of the funds
Why does it matter?

What makes you think all Americans eat like that? Or do anyone one thing alike for that matter.
Americans don't eat"European" style. People are predominantly right-handed. So they will use their right hand to cut and to eat w a fork... which is why they switch hands. Left-handed people tend to eat "European" style.
😂😂😂
GREAT VIDEO!!! May GOD continue to bless, protect, and guide you all, as well as all of us, in JESUS name AMEN!
I always loved the Paris buffet and was sad that it never came back after covid :(
Hi Tanya and Dave, Got Dang! I wish I were there! John Sr., and I love buffets. We just love to eat and love different restaurants! As my best friend Tanya says (in my head only & Dave too😊) Yum yum give me some! 😆 TO THE BEST COUPLE IN THE WORLD! 🌍
Vegas is sooo expensive now and so overrated, overpriced never again will I go to Vegas!
The only way I do Luxor buffet is with the MyVegas BOGO reward.
Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️🎃❤️🎃
I went to the Cosmopolitan buffet last March. It was pretty decent. I miss the Paris buffet; that was the only really great one IMO.
Thanks for sharing
We get the Buffet with our 2 for one with our VIP rewards…makes it very reasonable for breakfast/brunch in Vegas
Morning guys,
Enjoy 😊…. Yum yum 😋
Thanks for the food review. I think I will give that buffet a pass.
I've stayed at the Luxor years ago. Beautiful hotel. The price seems steep?
Use your fork to get thru shell. It’ll slide right up and crack shell
Yeah, I thought Luxor would be better than Excalibur and it was terrible! Staff was nice, but I'd never go back without announced changes! Excalibur's Buffet was decent for the price!
