Interesting the Norwegian Royal Family was still acquiring jewels in the 1990s. "Why?" comes to mind.
They lost a few jewel sets in the 1990s in theft. They were compensated by the insurance company and for the insurance money they are said to have acquired new jewels :-)
Queen Margrethe is NOT the ”former queen” - she is STILL queen, though not a ruling queen, but her title is still queen!!
Well, she is the former reigning Queen and it is correct to talk about her as such to clarify for my viewers. Her title is still Queen Margrethe.
