@@SherpasDayYay! Animals are so much more resilient than most humans. Sherpa’s only 2 years older than my little terrier was when she had to have half of her teeth removed. She recovered so quickly & was back to being puppy active.
Getting that house with its lovely garden has proven to be so good for both of you. There really is no place like home.

Sherpa is the best! 10 or 11 teeth removed and he ate his dinner, asked to go toilet! He should be fine in 3 - 4 days time!

Waiting is the hardest part when a loved one is in surgery. I understand not being able to do anything except just sit as if you are glued to the chair. All of your energy and thoughts are in the operating room with your loved one. It is such a relief when you hear they are out and awake. It's like your breath enters your lungs as though you haven't breathed the whole time. The look on Sherpa's when he looked up at you once he was in the seat in the van just stole my heart. So much love and trust in his eyes and I saw a light come into his eyes and I knew he was back and would be ok. It's tough on Dad's. The way you got on the floor to help him drink snd eat was so touching. You two made me cry. But, they were happy tears. 🥲 You guys get some rest. Love you guys! 🥰🐾 --Paula in Ohio USA

@@SherpasDay Well, we've had her about four years and this is the first time. It's so freaking expensive.! We only now have the money to pay for a cleaning. She might need one tooth out; but I have faith he can clean it enough.

Sherpa's, your baby, of course you didn't want to do anything but stay close by. It always takes a bit for the anesthetic to completely wear off. He's the most comfortable and happiest in his garden.

First off THANK YOU to Jamie, the vets, the Sherpa family for everyone coming together to get Sherpa through this and most importantly Sherpa for being strong and getting through.
Sending healing for Sherpa because the adjustment period will be a bit but not as hard as the surgery.
Jamie, I was making it through the video, but when you showed your watch without commenting it broke me. I could feel your stress all along, but when you didn't even have words...ugh. Thankfully they called shortly afterwards and brought your voice and life back!!! You lit up and we exhaled as you said he's done and doing well!!!
Watching you anticipating Sherpa's every need is a master class in animal or human parenting! I'm glad you are relieved and can just be with Sherpa while he heals. Please give him a big hug and get a kiss from him from me! Sending hugs and love 🤗💜

It's weird how our brains/body reacts when we are thinking of our pets in an operation and we simply cannot concentrate. Some are workaholics. At least the operation was a success and Sherpa coped well. Oh the feeling of grogginess after for him. At least he could go back to sleep again on the journey home😊❤yes, you travelled on a Friday so hit traffic coming down. Sherpa is probably back patrolling his garden and eating as if nothing happened 😂sending good wishes and hugs to Jamie and Sherpa 🥰❤❤🥰🐾🐾🐾❤🐕
He did really good walking in his garden after the anesthesia. I bring my cats home the vets they walk like drunken sailors on a ship during rough seas. 😂

Sherpa is a Great Dog. Jamie, know that he probably won’t remember much of his first day home. But he will remember being safe and loved.

Sherpa is such good and loving boy. even after surgery he patrols the garden and the house making sure he and his dad are safe.

Poor Sherpa, it's been a rough day. He'll probably want to relax and sleep. Sometimes the effect of the anesthesia stays in the body for awhile. So thankful everything went so well. 😻😁😻
I remember when my dog had a leg amputated. I was up all night with him I think I got about 45 minutes of sleep if that. He kept waking up and crying he was coming down hard off his pain meds. Love doesn't stop when it gets hard it just gets stronger.

Sherpa is so amazing when Storm had an operation he didn't eat and he just slept till the next day so happy little fluff bum came through all OK love to you both x❤
Little by little, Sherpie is coming out of his post-surgery grogginess. It was so good to see start eating. Hesitant at first-then a few bites- then more eagerly eating- then finishing his bowl completely. Wow! Then a visit to see Daddy in bed!
You weren't sitting doing nothing, Jamie. You were actively waiting! It was a long old day and despite the traffic and the rain you were taking Sherpy home - a good end to the day. Now take as much care for yourself as you lavish on Sherpa, you both need to take it easy and process this for a while. Big hugs to you both

I totally understand about not being able to do anything while Sherpa was in, I was exactly the same when Coco went in to be neutered. You just sit holding your breath and worrying ( at least I did, maybe others are different ) about how things are going. When they mean the world to you it’s like you’re frozen with nerves and feel so vulnerable. I’m so glad everything worked out well and your bestie is getting better. Love to both of you. ❤❤
Things like this always remind me that our mothers were right. You know the "when have kids......". One of my mothers "when you have kids, you will see they literally worry you sick"! I know some will say it's a dog not a kid. They are our kids too!

That handsome boi is so very loved. A steady diet of cuddles,naps and healthy foods just what he needs to make a full recovery. I know he is happy to have his garden to enjoy at his leaisure. Fresh air and sunshine will see him right as .. errmmm ... rain? Oh well. Now you can enjoy summer. Both weeks of it.

It’s always nerve wracking when someone you love is not well and is in theatre or ICU the relief when they are out is enormous. 💜💜💜
Twice when I had surgery, I was sick from the anesthesia. I didn't even want to hear about food. The third, I had to have a patch and anti-nauseant, and it worked so Sherpa did well eating. We sure do love that boy. Heal quickly and enjoy your garden.
