He was terrified, and he ran back to the house because he didn't want to leave. Neither the owner nor the kid showed any emotion at all. If I had found my lost GSD, I would have been overjoyed, and he would have shown the same excitement, full of happy sounds and energy. And they didn't even have a leash for him. Not necessarily abusing the dog. It's just a Shepherd. They are intelligent and energetic and this dog likely had no stimulation. Everyone I know who has a shepherd runs or hikes with it most days of the week. Paco just escaped for an adventure and now he has to go back to his boring back yard life. He'll probably break out again and come visit.
@@thnkr0917 I have had a GSD when I as living in an apartment and working long hours. Didn’t have much time for anything else outside of work. However, my GSD was always happy to see me when I came home from work. I’ve owned lots of different breed of dogs. @@NoreenRichardsonyes, his behavior was confusing at first cause he wasn’t getting this type of care n attention at his home. Totally agree with your assessment. ✌🏼
From my understanding of GSDs, they take their position as guards very seriously and Paco already wanted to protect his new-and more appropriate-person. I’m pretty aware of some aspects of Mexican culture and the less educated have attitudes that guard dogs should have harsh lives-not treated like pets-and, with so many caring people here, I wouldn’t dream of repeating some of the things they’ve bragged to me about that they’ve done to make their dogs, including six-months old puppies ’ tougher guards. It’s a very different attitude than what those from educated backgrounds have. As sensitive and intelligent as GSDs are it must be especially rough for Paco. My own dogs have been similar in some respects to GSD (Komondor, Pulik and Pyrs. Koms positively revel in protecting their people and everyone else connected to them, probably even the goldfish. But, for several reasons, it looks like my next and last dog (I’m a senior) will be the GSD I wanted as a child.
@@katecoe8322Yes unfortunately in some cultures, pets are not really pets but are used for some other purpose. It is not nice what these dogs have done to them to make them mean, obedient and submissive. I agree with you 100%. Beautiful German Shepherd! The reaction of a dog that has been lost and then reunited with his family, is usually very happy and excited. This dog reacted as though he didn't even know the people that claimed to be his owners. I hope they had to show some type of proof that they were the owners other than just saying they were. Something is not quite right here!
Thank you for taking good care of the dog. It didn’t appear that he wanted to go back with them. All videos I see of reunions with lost dogs, the dogs are jumping, barking, licking, etc. in those reunions, the owners show emotion when seeing their dog. The dog laid back on your porch and the owners didn’t seem excited to have their dog back. When they were walking away, the dog’s wimper broke my heart.
Next time this dog appears, please look for a better home for him. The fact he appeared in front of your house was because he was looking for help. Read his movements and you will understand.
I have had 5 German shepherd dogs and they were well loved and cared for I had one dog escape curious and was missing for weeks, I found him at the German Shepherd rescue 30 miles from home, when I went pick him up he practically knocked me down licking me wagging his tale omg he never ran away again this dog looks like an abused n miserable dog it did not want to leave you, like it was saying help me, please check up on him he came to you for a reason he chose you 😢

I'm in the UK and a dog owner that dog really didn't want to go with that man. The sad eyes, hesitancy and tail well down said it all. Please go get the dog and give him a loving forever home
We found ourselves with such a dog. The owners hadn’t time enough to care for him during the day and he walked out on them. Happily, they came along after some weeks. They left the dog with us, and he had a happy life until a kidney illness took him at 8 years old. A very big long hair Shepherd dog. He’ll never be forgotten.
OMG you are amazing with this dog! You have to get it back! He Loves you already! Please Please! At least drive around where he lives and see if you see him there!(Im sure you already did!!!) Don’t leave him there where he’s not happy.☹️☹️‼️
The dog is not bonded with this person….very sad outcome.. I’ve never seen a dog not care a bit about seeing his family after being “lost”. If he lived just around the corner,he could have found his way back home. If he wanted to…😢
I'm a life long german shepherd owner breeder and trainer, that dog wasn't lost, it left its master because she didn't want to be there. If a german shepherd approached you without any signs of aggression they are asking for help. Honestly I don't think you did that dog a favor by returning it, you should've kept it. I know their body language and she did seem to want to leave with them.
Did you give her water? And feed her something like cooked chicken.Bring her into your house. She is confused and sad. Owners Don’t deserve her. She is very unhappy. Bring her in the house, for God’s sake.
WELL HE CALLED ANIMAL CONTROL, AND THEN THE OWNER COME. SO THE POOR DOG WAS EITHER GOING WITH ANIMAL CONTROL OR GO BACK TO A OWNER THAT IT DIDN'T SEEM TO WANT. The thing that got me was the kid... If that was my dog I would be all happy running around the yard... Rolling in the grass with her... But, the boy was just standing there.. y'all know what I mean, right.
I quit watching at 5:29. I scrolled down to read comments and gathered this does not end well with a beautiful dog returning to horrible owners. Someone down below mentioned this dog was not lost, but rather a run-a-way. Thank you, sir, for taking great care of her while she was with you. I hope if my little dog ever gets lost that he would end up at a home like yours until I get there to bring him home again. Thank you for being a caring human being. About 20 years ago I found a German Shepherd who had been tied up outside (a chewed up line was still attached) I did put him in the paper and no one claimed him and I’m so glad because for the next 15 years he was the most loyal companion. I firmly believe he meant to leave his previous owners, because Germans are so loyal when treated well as he could jump my fence but never did.

This is definitely a full blooded GS and I can’t believe that you did not take this poor dog into your home but left it outside! The dog NOT being exited about seeing its owner and not wanting to go back home with him, spoke volumes! The dog looked very sad and defeated, it also looked unkept which is always a sign that an animal is not being properly taken care off and shown love like it should be. I am saddened that this poor dog ended up going back to where it obviously tried to escape from and I don’t understand at all how anyone could be happy about it. 💔💔💔
To address your concerns, Paco is a livestock guardian dog. He is never tied up and ran away during a lightning storm. As you can see in the video he does not like to be indoors, when I put him in the shed he freaked out. Also I have two small dogs that were barking and stressing Paco out. His teeth were white and is obviously being well fed because he’s a little over weight. Animal control checked him for wellness and a chip and then cleared him to go back to his owner. I don’t know what else you want, I followed all the protocols for a lost dog.
That dog did not want to leave. It’s good that Paco lives close by, because maybe Paco will come by for a visit. Also, this guy is so nice. The sweet way he was talking to Paco you can tell he has a heart of gold. That’s an immediate subscription from me. Thanks for being so nice to poor old Paco.
I’ve had dogs all my life. That pup did not want to go with them. I notice they were Hispanics. I’m 2nd generation Hispanic. Big big clue that that dog ran back to you. That speaks volumes. Saddest thing I have ever watched. Poor dog. He looked so dejected.
for protection. had fear.
Something's wrong I bet the owners are abusing that poor dog. He absolutely did not want to leave!
@@thnkr0917 A German Shepherd Dog is ESPECIALLY attached to and affectionate with its family. It was abused: that was obvious.
@@thnkr0917 I have had a GSD when I as living in an apartment and working long hours. Didn’t have much time for anything else outside of work. However, my GSD was always happy to see me when I came home from work. I’ve owned lots of different breed of dogs. All of them got very excited when they saw me, even if I just took the trash out and visited with the neighbor for several minutes. There is something wrong with this behavior. It’s definitely NOT the typical breed behavior.
Speak up channel owner. You haven't replied once from what I seen. Did you check in on the dog? Fothet liking every post. Reply with words.
@@AKAten4 I agree and was wanting to say the same thing to this You Tuber because it's obvious as EVERYONE here could see and tell that something is not right with the dog when the owner showed up. I wouldn't be surprised they're illegals and probably don't speak English. Look at the vehicle they're in (Hummer). WT??? Remember, we taxpayers are paying for their expensive vehicles when they come here and drive without license and tags! Nah! They need a dog like a hole in the head. The dog is not being treated right. I know because we had a mix GS and Siberian Husky. They need to be walked daily for exercise and def. need to be brushed just about every day too because they shed like crazy. The wining she did was her saying to this man please help me I don't want to go back there! PLEASE You Tuber!!! GO CHECK ON THIS DOG AT THEIR HOME!!!! If you don't want to go, get the Animal Shelter to go and do a wellness check on the dog at that home!! I guarantee if they show up unexpected, they'll find something wrong.
Dog was crying he didn't look excited to go with him .Had his head down
I kinda wanted to keep him

Agree someone needs to go check on her.
Where exactly is he man?
turning your capslock on does not make your halfbaked thoughts any more legal - what are you suggesting, that someone go kidnap the dog??
There's always one comment like this.
I've had GSD's for years, that Dog lives outside & has minimal contact with his owners. They are feeding him but that's about it. The way Paco greeted his owner was more submissive than excited to see him. Makes me sad, Paco seems like a really sweet dog starving for love.😢
I agree with everything you said
I was looking for this comment bc I was thinking the exact same thing. Such a shame as he's such a beautiful dog wanting some love.
And for Paco, who is sweet and gentle by nature, it is even worse, as owners go to to larger extremes to “toughen” them up. Poor sweetheart.
Seems like she experienced kindness for the 1st time when she was with you...
100% & the fact that she didn't know how to react is heartbreaking.. She was not cared for by these ppl.. So sad.. I hope she gets the love she deserves.. & I hope the man goes to check on her & records her reaction to seeing him again..
He didn't look well taken care of. He didn't look excited to see his owner and leave with him. Thank you for taking such good care of him.
Please keep us updated because I think there was something majorly wrong. Something not good.
I doubt there will be any updates.
You should of kept the dog. Go get her . Truly safe her life .
I have had 13 german shepherd, that dog did not want to go with that man. He was frightened and scared he was wining and his body language was cramped. He tried not to go. Why did he not try to find his way home that evening, shepherds are loyal and fret if not with their pack. I hope neighbours look out for him or he end up safe and happy.
You are as right as rain.
Watching him leaving with tail down between his legs like that broke my heart 😢
This makes me sad.Thats not normal for A dog that does not want to go with its owner. Wish.
The guy could have kept him. You can tell the dog has been mistreated. The owner didn't even act like he was glad to see the dog. I would take.
That dog in a heart beat.My shepherd is so glad to see me when I get home. The Is dog deserves better.
Poor pup is trying to figure things out. Beautiful soul.
When that dog finds you again, keep her! She's smart enough to find a way.
Go rescue Paco!😢
Everyone else has already said it, that dog didn't want to go. Thank you for caring for her...I hope you can rescue her 🙏💙
You are so kind. All the dog lover's in these comments know the dog did NOT want to leave. The dog did not get lost. He knew how to get back home:-(
Made me cry seeing how much love you showed this baby. I’m a tad sad that I’m not sure she receives much love with her owners. I always feel that a dog will pick their owners, not the other way around. I wish she could have stayed with you. Thank you soooo very much for not only helping her, but also for loving her. I pray she is safe.
That poor baby DID NOT want to go with those people!! She NEVER wagged her tail when they showed up, she actually was crying! My heart is broken for this poor baby, she was trying to ask for help, to be rescued from a possible bad home life
je suis choqué par cette vidéo que je trouve bizarre. n'importe qui le voit qu'il ne veut pas aller avec eux et a peur. Pourquoi la vidéo coupe et 2 hommes arrivent de nulle part..
Exactly. And she was given back to her abusers. Poor dog. So sad.
I got a bad feeling about this. I hope you check up on that dog. The dog clearly did not want to go with those people!
German Shepherds are very smart. If his owners lived just round the corner, his sense of smell would lead him home. Paco chose you !!! He loves you!!! He definitely didn't want to go back. 😢
I have four German Shepherds and they all get super excited when we as a family come back home from work...they don't whine😢😢😢.
Please please check on Paco 🙏🙏🙏
EXACTLY!
il répond à personne il s'en fou en faite.'
This was sad. The only heartwarming part of this video, is he got loved on for a night.
Please check up on the dog!! Something does not feel right!! Thank you so much how you watched over him all night!! You are a dog lover!!
Next time this dog appears, please look for a better home for him. The fact he appeared in front of your house was because he was looking for help. Read his movements and you will understand.
Really good idea. Poster can't keep since they're neighbors but another place would be so good.
I have had 5 German shepherd dogs and they were well loved and cared for I had one dog escape curious and was missing for weeks, I found him at the German Shepherd rescue 30 miles from home, when I went pick him up he practically knocked me down licking me wagging his tale omg he never ran away again this dog looks like an abused n miserable dog it did not want to leave you, like it was saying help me, please check up on him he came to you for a reason he chose you 😢
yeah this is my experience. When I pick my GSD up from kennels she won't stop trying to lick me and for the whole next day she won't let me out of her sight.
Thanks for taking care of the lost dog
He was not excited to see them. the dog knows that he got better treatment from you .Thank you so much for giving that dog some love.
Please, go get him back!! He doesn’t want that man!
So close to you! Just go visit him and let him follow you home! Please!
I'm in the UK and a dog owner that dog really didn't want to go with that man. The sad eyes, hesitancy and tail well down said it all. Please go get the dog and give him a loving forever home
Speak up channel owner. You haven't replied once from what I seen. Did you check in on the dog?
Poor thing cried leaving😢
We found ourselves with such a dog. The owners hadn’t time enough to care for him during the day and he walked out on them. Happily, they came along after some weeks. They left the dog with us, and he had a happy life until a kidney illness took him at 8 years old. A very big long hair Shepherd dog. He’ll never be forgotten.
OMG you are amazing with this dog! You have to get it back! He Loves you already! Please Please! At least drive around where he lives and see if you see him there!(Im sure you already did!!!) Don’t leave him there where he’s not happy.☹️☹️‼️
Please dont leave him with those people😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
The dog is not bonded with this person….very sad outcome.. I’ve never seen a dog not care a bit about seeing his family after being “lost”. If he lived just around the corner,he could have found his way back home. If he wanted to…😢
Please go back for him for this innocent dog
I'm a life long german shepherd owner breeder and trainer, that dog wasn't lost, it left its master because she didn't want to be there. If a german shepherd approached you without any signs of aggression they are asking for help. Honestly I don't think you did that dog a favor by returning it, you should've kept it.
I know their body language and she did seem to want to leave with them.
You mean “didn’t” want to leave correct?
Did you give her water? And feed her something like cooked chicken.Bring her into your house. She is confused and sad. Owners
Don’t deserve her.
IF I GO OUT AND LEAVE MY DOG FOR AN HOUR OR TWO, WHEN I COME BACK MY DOG IS ALL OVER ME WITH HAPPINESS. THIS DOG WASN'T HAPPY. WISH I HADN'T SEEN THE VIDEO.
@@alexandrecordeiro4957me too. The guy that helped must feel really mixed emotions after reading these replies. He couldn’t have known the owners would be such losers.
I think Paco would be much happier living with the guy who took him in and cared for him. He didn't seem to want to leave. Makes me sad for Paco. 😢❤
Idk, but to me, Paco looked a little reluctant to go with her owner. Maybe you should check in on her from time to time or still have animal control investigate if there is any abuse or health problems. Thanks to caring people like you!
I do have his number. Once my chickens lay eggs I’ll go over and give the owner some eggs and check on Paco.

I agree with everyone. That dog did not want to go with him. Wagging his tail doesn’t mean anything. That dog ran away for a reason. The man didn’t even have a proper leash. Nope, not a good feeling about this. I think you should maybe go check?
Awe paco loved you!! he sure didn’t want to go back with the owners!! That broke my heart!!

He seams sad to leave.. I hope that when he gets back to you you will just adopt him. I can tell that he likes you..
Hopefully, he will make the trip back around the corner to send a message that his situation isn't too good. So sad.
Thank you for taking such beautiful care of this gorgeous dog. After reading the comments, I am not going to watch the entire video because it seems that the owner is not a good owner for her. You did a marvelous job.

Dog seemed reluctant to leave. Her body language said it all.
If I lost a dog I would want this man to find them. He's trying everything he can think of!
But he did not check if this dog is really his, bec he did not show emotions.
Awww beautiful shepherd! I have had 2 of them. Very smart and loyal! It doesn’t seem like he wanted to leave with him! Please check on him. ❤❤❤❤
That dog wasn't happy to see the owners at all, that is a really bad sign... Paco isn't being treated right by the looks of it! Thanks for taking care of him, very nice of you!
That dog doesn't want to go home.
Seems animal control should look into why this dog ran off and really didn't want to go home.
Yes I agree. Dog isn't happy.

If you've ever had a German Shepherd, you know how loving and loyal they are. You couldn't keep them away from home if you tried. That dog chose to stay there, he didn't seem to want to go home. That's how it made me feel. He was shy, but when that guy started to doggie talk, he loved it. Like he wasn't used to it. I got a bad feeling about the owner.
I hope I'm wrong. But this man was so kind, I would like to see the dog end up with him.
I have 2 german shepherds they get excited around us that dog may not get treated very well, thats what it looks like to me.
I’ve had dogs all my life. That pup did not want to go with them. I notice they were Hispanics. I’m 2nd generation Hispanic. Culturally (if owner is from Latin country) most of them don’t treat their pets like part of their family like we do here. Hope I’m wrong , so please check on the beautiful Pup. God bless for being kind to God’s creature.

No Way are those owners treating that poor dog right. 😠 He went back to the blanket? Instead of greeting his owners with happiness, like all dogs do, even when you're gone for 10min. If you can please go back and check on him. I'm sure he will be tied up outside 24/7. 😔
That was a super rescue video -- good for you! I wonder if you checked on Paco later..? I find it strange that he made no effort to look for his home even though he was only "around the corner".. He did seem happy to be with you.
