Some recommendations: -Pick-up Summer (AKA Pinball Summer) (1980) Regarded as the Canadian Porky's, teenage boys get into a rivalry with a biker gang and decide to settle the situation with a pinball tournament. OOP but not expensive, oddly enough the soundtrack is widely available on digital music services. -In China They Eat Dogs (1999) (Denmark) Action comedy about a bank heist with one of the craziest endings in cinematic history. -Matando Cabos (2004) (Mexico) Comedy that I would describe as a mash-up of Weekend At Bernies and Ruthless People with a luchador thrown in for good measure. Takes place over the course of one night.
Very informative and enjoyable video. I was only familiar with H.O.T.S. and NO CONTEST. Speaking of films only available on DVD, I was VERY thrilled that Vinegar Syndrome's Cinematographe will be releasing BANG THE DRUM SLOWLY on 4K and blu-ray. First blu-ray release, and this has extras such as audio commentary by director John Hancock. (The DVD had zero extras.) One of the best baseball movies ever, with fine performances by Michael Moriarty and Robert DeNiro. The book by Mark Harris is also very fine. It was adapted earlier as a live television drama starring Paul Newman which is on the Criterion live tv set. I'm surprised it took so long for this to get a blu-ray release.
Prayer of the Rollerboys RULZ - I have the original long jewel case DVD release, got it dirt cheap if I recall correctly, crazy that it’s now going for $40-$50!
Great video Brian. Love this series, keep up the good work, I would like to see at least a DVD made of A Girl to Kill For. only had a VHS copy years ago, Not a great movie but that is half the fun!
i like the not on blu ray series. I am saving my pennies for Hangin With The Homeboys and Night In The City (1992), Two movies I liked back in the day but havent seen in a minute
Speaking of White Water Summer I cannot believe they remade The River Wild. It's unneeded!
Haven’t seen that remake yet
Love this series... every movie should have at least (minimum) a DVD release.
Agreed!
Thank-You for doing these neglected films series; they are much needed.
Thank you so much! I love to try to shine a light on neglected films

Survival Quest is now on Tubi, Coscarelli tweeted about it in December
Yep, recorded this video in like November and had been sitting on it
I have Survival Quest and Knights of the City on VHS 😁
Excellent!
I still have that survival quest, great little film.
Anchor bay had some gems on dvd, luckily I’ve kept quite a few.
Yeah great company. I have a bunch too
Real fun video! It's great to learn about new flicks that have fallen into the ether. I'm watching if you're making them :)
Thanks so much! I’m sure I’ll do another down the line

Part of HOTS was exterior-shot at a house I once lived in, by my college in LA (NOT contemporaneously - not QUITE that old, lol)
Crazy haha!
The midnight hour and nightwatch with Ewan mcgregor and nick nolte remake still hasn't been not on blu ray yet they are so out of print.
Live midnight hour. Wish I could get my hands on that dvd but too pricey
