As I wrote under the previous reaction to Metallica, you should see the performance of Creeping Death at a concert in Moscow in 1991. This is the most lively, aggressive and powerful performance I have seen since my life. It will definitely blow your mind
Even 30+ years later, the energy level is unrivaled. I'd love to see a reaction of "Harvester Of Sorrow" from that Moscow show. That's another one that just blows my mind.
Metallica is the band that brought me to metal about 30 years ago. Their first 5 albums are timeless. And "Creeping Death" is one of their greatest songs, and one of the greatest metal songs in general, ever. I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again. It blew my mind, too, back then. So, it's nice to witness your journey with Metallica and Metal at all. Greetings from Germany, Mate.
Told you, my friend; these guys are otherworldly musicians and songwriters…..added otherworldly instrumentation 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘….and 20-21 years old when writing this craziness….Kirk wrote the solo as a teenager 🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
I can't even comprehend what they accomplished from 18 to 24. The first 3 albums changed music forever. And they did it at an age while I was still trying to learn STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN lmao
@bigemetalmilitia8462 what's really crazy, they were not trying to learn these songs from another musician, they actually created this stuff at that age!
Start from the beginning, “Kill ‘em All” straight through then “Ride the Lightning”, then “Master of Puppets” u can hear the music just get better and better! Best first 3 albums put out by any band ever!
How Metallica hits your soul is exactly how I feel. I've been a Metalhead since birth and being in the world of Metal is where I wanna stay. There's nothing else like it
Yaaaasssssss!! One of their best, I swear! Most of their videos have an original recording, and the lyrics. They are worth following. Alot of people don't realize how deep and thought-provoking metal lyrics can be. And these guys are some of the best!
I like both Cliff and Jason but that live version of Creeping on Cliff 'em All just sealed it for me. They were at the top of their game at that moment.
I’m gonna confess when they transitioned from ecstasy of gold to whiplash when they opened, it almost brought a tear to my eye because of how epic it sounded.
This was the encore at the Portland Meadows concert in 1998....2.5 hours of madness and then this just blew the lights off the stage...my friend lost his shoes and broke a rib at that show...25,000 people at that show and still pulling those same numbers today...enjoy the ride!
Looking forward to this one! Loving watching your journey with Metallica. The further you go, the more impressed you’ll be. I first caught on with the release of ‘..and Justice For All’ album. Loved them ever since and seen them 4 times. They’ve been a huge part of my life, and the reason I first picked up a guitar. So cool to see them inspiring you to do the same. Stick at it mate, and all the very best to you. Keep up with the vids and I’m sure you’ll gather a big audience 🤘
This song came out at a time when so many thought metal was demonic. Kills me every time I think about those days. If they’d just listen to the words! This song is about the plaque god sent through Moses about killing Egypts first born. This song is awesome live! Crowd participation is a must! Thousands of us chanting “die” gives me chills every time.
6:09 You don’t have to pick a favorite. Just enjoy each one for what it offers. I can say that about a lot of music, but you do have to appreciate how well they put music together and mesh! 9:38 The ‘80’s had a very unique way of doing metal! Thrash is so unique! I didn’t get into it in the ‘80’s, but it hit me with a vengeance in the ‘90’s!
I think Creeping Death is one of Metallica's best songs, and I enjoyed your reaction to it. I also think that their performance in the 1997 "Cunning Stunts" DVD is 100% awesome, so recommend watching that :)
Just in case it hasn't been brought up before now: this song is about the biblical story of Passover. Now you should do "Trapped Under Ice" and/or "Call of Ktulu", "Escape" would be a good one too. And "Fight Fire with Fire" lol
Grew up listening to Metallica as they came onto the scene, and they've always made me emotional! Kirk's (The Ripper) has such a soul he shows thru his playing and James is a perfect front man!
This song is about the children of Israel in Egypt, the tenth plague was the Angel of death that killed the first born that didn’t have the blood of the lamb on the doorpost.
Need to do a react from their Kill Em All album. Four Horseman is amazing. Hit The Lights. No Remorse. Jump in the Fire. Metal Militia. Aaaaand, for some fucking rockin bass, Anesthesia-Pulling Teeth. Yeah. All.of em. Lol
"This is proper in your face" lol yes, that is Metallica. And don't EVER apologize for going back to hear something again! We've heard it. We all did the same thing when we heard it the first time. Rock on, my dude.
Blood, lamb's blood, painted door, I shall pass. Heavy Metal has a way of delivering a range of emotions aggressively. It's the embodiment of testosterone in music.
This album, when it came out, was my introduction to Metallica, and this was the first song I heard. It remains my favorite to this day and I never looked back (except to discover and listen to Kill em All 😁) I was already a big fan of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Van Halen, Scorpions, etc., but this band changed everything from the very first listen!!
I wasn't "COOL IN SCHOOL" until my sophomore year, and i wasn't into metal until my sophomore year, but i remember seeing the COOL KIDS wearing METALLICA SHIRTS in 7th grade, i was a PRINCE fanatic
For me, this is the greatest album they have ever produced. No other record they have ever made has the aggression that this one does, it stomps everything in it's path. If you're gonna do albums you should always start at the beginning. With Metallica you should do "Kill 'Em All" first since it's their first album.
I love that you’ve listened to the studio version of this song, and hope you’ve looked through the lyrics. Now, before you do anything else, you must watch their 1991 Moscow performance of this song. It will blow your mind in multiple ways. Peak Metallica, to be sure.
First song I ever heard from them on the Friday rock show radio1 back in ‘84 I was a 15 year old metal head and it blew my mind how fast and heavy it was! I loved it! 😎
First Metallica 12 inch I ever bought in 1984. Difficult to understand now how different they were to everyone else back then. Also think Blitzkrieg is on the B-side which is awesome.
Man, i love it when young people discover Metallica, or metal music in general, for the first time and realize how amazing this type of music is. You' re making the expierience we made when we first listened to them. I belong to the younger generation of Metallica fans (i'm 24 years old), but i started to play the guitar when i was 6 and started listen to Metallica when i was 10. This year two dreams of mine became true: I bought a Gibson Explorer, the guitar James played in the 80s and i went to a Metallica concert for the first time😍 If you want to expierience what James is able to do with his voice, i recommend to listen to the following live performances: 1. Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Seattle '89 A ballad style song (like Fade to Black) from the Master of Puppets Album. He puts so much emotion and agression at the same time in this version. Better than the studio version in my opinion. 2. Harvester of Sorrow, Moscow '91 From the ...And Justice for All Album. Agression and energy. Absolutely badass.
Wooo I am happy you doing this. I got to see Metallica in Vegas when I was 18 in 2018. This song live is amazing. Next Metallica song you should do is “fight fire with fire”
It's great to see you getting your face melted by these albums all these years later like we did hearing it for the first time from older kids with trucks in 7-11 parking lots. My request is you do a full album reaction of Kill 'Em All bc it would be fresh for you and you could hear where it all began in 1981. That's older than my **s!
My favourite person is my friend YOU! What you expect? Metallica is the most important reason for all us funs, for46 years and more i hope to come, to listening with so much passion all songs. From first album to the last.❤❤❤
Answering your question, which album to listen to in full is the very first, I would recommend listening to Kill 'Em All. You haven't reacted to the songs from this album yet, but this album is the very first in the metallica discography and is considered a classic of thrash metal. This is where metallica started its journey. There are a sufficient number of very good songs on this album (all)
Good to see you pop into my feed 👍. I see you’ve surpassed 8k subs, congratulations! I don’t know if you know this but metal and classical music share a lot of the same traits. A lot of people who really enjoy metal also very much like classical. Just putting that out there. ✌️
I think I'm right in saying that, after the Kill 'em All album James actually took singing lessons and I personally think you can hear it on Ride The Lightening
Low, bloody roots, in this river, suicide Messiah, mother, rainning blood, my casket garden, give me your money, cowboys from hell, skeleton of society, justice for all, hanger 18, war machine, shout at the devil, ace of spades, and so many more to list.
Bro, just found your channel tonight, love the reactions. Funny enough, I just got for Christmas, the Very first print of the Creeping Death single Album from 1984. Number 1 off the press. Only 1 in existence and I'm looking at it as I watch your video.
Moscow ‘91 is incredible, but Seattle ‘89 is even better lol Seattle is the single most greatest rock concert ever. Maybe next, do ‘The Thing That Should Not Be’, live Seattle 1989 🤘
@@Edessa_G yeh I couldn't agree more, seattle 89 was Metallica at their peak. , . A performance that will never be beaten and YES, the thing that should not be blows me away everytime I watch it, James face when the camera does those close up's 👺
First time I heard Master of Puppets I wept like a little biatch cause it was so beautiful. I watch your reactions..I love them. So truthful. Every word. Thank you.
Metallica was the band tht established metal and heavy music. Before tht it was allthwsetboy bands about just love music.. no one else was going this hard on music the 80s .. but you STL have iron maiden. Grateful dead . Ac.dc. but these bands were mainstream and put music out tht these record labels wanted, Metallica put out music they wanted. That's why they got so big. And many other bands followed..
Watch the video version of disturbed the sound of silence. Awesome version of the song and the video is done really well. The way David the singer does it, it hits me most of the time I hear it. So good.
If you're ready for a full album, I'd recommend doing them in release order starting with Kill 'Em All to hear where it all began (although it does sound a lot more raw than the stuff you've heard so far, so maybe you're better off just reacting to one song first before you try the album). If it's a choice between Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets, I'd go with Ride first, even though I prefer Puppets, so you can see how they progress from one album to the next. Don't sleep on ...And Justice For All though. That's another banging album.
Molly booooyyyyeee! Get them horns up coach! Yank here, I know you're starting with the older stuff but check out "spit out the bone" off of hardwired to self destruct.
dude the creeping death you should find is from their moscow monsters of rock concert. Check out the whole concert from their it was WILD. About a million people were there right after the fall of the wall.
It's nice to hear that you will be listening to albums from now on. It is a whole new level of taking the music in with its own ups and downs and time to breathe... There are not too many conceptual albums where all the songs are connected and are serving as parts of the same story, but those albums are out there. As to bringing your girlfriend into the reaction... I will be completely honest, I generally do dislike reactions where there is more than one reactor. But definitely try it if you want - it may work for you very well. I have only recently discovered your channel and subscribed and thus I never knew that you grew up with Nu, Alternative and Grunge. That's really cool. No wonder that you like Metallica. The whole difference between many of the 80s bands and those genres from the 90s is the shift from a somewhat detached storytelling toward more personal and emotional one. I sometimes even think that bands like Metallica were the first herald of this change. But of course both trends are still going and cross-poletating right now and you can find very personal lyrics even in the more traditional genres. Which bands did you grow up with? Would you be interested in reacting to more bands of those genres? Because I am sure that I can recommend at least a couple.
I listened to a lot of Nirvana growing up. Linkin Park was also one of my favourites. I’ve heard some Guns n roses songs, rage against the machine, Limp Bizkit, Korn. There the only ones I can think of off the top of my head
@@MollyBoyTV Well, if you will decide to do it (maybe as bonus videos or something because those are unlikely to bring you new viewers, but you can always listen to those band on your free time) my recommendations would be: Unjust - It's Not Enough Breed 77 - Blind Ill Niño - How Can I Live Incubus - New Skin Thorn.Eleven - Junk Бритва Оккама - Трижды раз Guano Apes - Lords of the Boards Disturbed - The Night System of a Down - (literally anything =) The last three are likely to bring you some viewers btw - I was roughly going from obscure to the most well known bands in the world. And by the way. I have a feeling that you will LOVE 90s Metallica. Older fans tend to dislike the change, but the band has kept on trying new things. It didn't stop playing good music after the 80s. In fact, their 90s stuff is what brought me to the band in the first place. They have even recorded a nu/alternative album in 2003 believe it or not. And a person can appreciate extreme, traditional, modern and prog/avant-garde stuff at the same time no matter what people will tell you ;)
As I wrote under the previous reaction to Metallica, you should see the performance of Creeping Death at a concert in Moscow in 1991. This is the most lively, aggressive and powerful performance I have seen since my life. It will definitely blow your mind

I agree you should do them in order defo...
Don't forget Garage Days
Must watch this live!
You have to listen to All Nightmare Long, that song proves that they can still write incredible songs after so many years
Molly booooyyyyeee!
If im not mistaken the lead guirtarist kirk hammet wrote that solo at 16 years old..
@@MollyBoyTV Well, if you will decide to do it (maybe as bonus videos or something because those are unlikely to bring you new viewers, but you can always listen to those band on your free time) my recommendations would be:
Unjust - It's Not Enough
Breed 77 - Blind
Ill Niño - How Can I Live
Incubus - New Skin
Thorn.Eleven - Junk
Бритва Оккама - Трижды раз
Guano Apes - Lords of the Boards
Disturbed - The Night
System of a Down - (literally anything =)
The last three are likely to bring you some viewers btw - I was roughly going from obscure to the most well known bands in the world.
