Off of the top of my head Sega's only exclusive is Shin Megami Tensei V. Yes Sega owns Atlus shut up. Square Enix has made multiple exclusives for the Switch such as Octopath Traveler, Bravely Default 2, and Triangle Strategy. Yes I'm aware that both Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default 2 are on pc now, but they were both exclusive to Switch on release. Plus in addition to making exclusives they've been doing the exact same thing as Sega, Ubisoft, Namco, and Capcom by port there old stuff as well.

I wish people would start to bring up Kumazaki instead of Sakurai when it comes to kirby. I know he's Sakurai's son and all but Kumazaki really deserves some credit for how much love he's put into the series since Sakurai doesnt work on the series anymore. Feels a bit wrong to me that despite all his effort, people still associate Kirby with only Sakurai.

And Virtual console for WII U a console that flopped horrible, untill the remaster came out, which instantly outsold the WII original and 3ds port combined and X was a WII u exclusive, that the fans didnt like at first because it wasnt a Sequel to XC1 but a spinoff, not the best grounds for any franchise to grow. its direct predecessor(XC2) garned generaly favorable reviews at launch, with most criticism being about overabundance of tutorials, and a lack of explanation of systems at the same time(i am STILL amazed how monolith managed that, at the same time using to many tutorials but at the same time not explanining enough). With moderatly good sales(2.05 million being the most recent number which isnt a lot in contrast to something like Breath of the wild, but still decent given its genre and the history of the series(XC on wii only having sold around 900k, XC on 3ds only having sold roughly 500k and Xenoblade X on the wii u having sold 840k) With the remaster of 1 having sold 1.52 million) The spinoff Xenoblade X is still considerd by those who played it to b one of the best WII U titles to this day despite its flaws, and probably the best wii u title that hasnt been ported to the switch yet Almost the entire direct was filled with niche titles For crying out loud, they announced a frontmission 1 Remake in it, you cant go much more niche then Turn based Mech strategy game. Of the titles presented, kirby, FETHwarrior and xenoblade where the only ones that could be considerd for the closing spot. all 3 franchises have at least one other game on the switch, Xenoblade has 2 with its remaster, and kriby has 2 with the beat m up f2s game. FE has the Warrior spinoff as well. Of the games that where directly sold, XC2 DID have the lowest overall sales in contrast to around 2.9 million for Three houses and kirby each. FETHWarrior wll however not appeal to the core demographic fo fire emblem games itself, and the other FEwarrior games sold 1 million COMBINED with the Switch and 3DS version. Picking a Spinoff titlle as the closing game runs the risk of annoying fans of the mainline, and picking a game of which another one already exist with relativly low(but still satisfying) sales dosnt help there. iirc it was used as the opening title(or do i missremember that?) Which makes sense, FE3H is considerd a sucess sales wise, and having a spinoff of one of your best selling internal IPs be the opening number is a great way to garner attention for the direct itself Kirby didnt really have enough anyhting to be the closing number on its own Xenoblade alrady had 2 titles on the switch, booth deemed comercial sucesses, and its a mainline entry in a 1st party nintendo franchise. it has a known fanbase for a sequel as well. The only thing I'm interested in from Capcom is the expansion for Monster Hunter Rise and I assume that Capcom's going to do their own presentation before the rollout.
Other devs have proven that they can easily port their games to Switch with little to no problems. Cloud only versions of the Kingdom Hearts trilogy on Switch proves that Square just isn't trying.
While yes I agree, I'm a little bit concerned on XB 3 as from what it was teased on 2 and now confirmed on the direct. 3 is going to be the universe merge between blades and monado. So having in mind how different both games are lore wise and mechanic wise, this could either go really nice an be incredibly epic or it can flop really bad. I'm both excited and anxious at the same time and I love it! Haven't felt like this in quite a while!

I'm kinda confident from what we've seen though, feels like it's far enough from the previous games that the world has it's own identity while have those familiar pieces in there. Hopefully the story can handle it all well. Gameplay wise is gonna be interesting. Torna did a really good job of streamlining 2's combat, fingers crossed whatever new mechanic they introduce they've learned some lessons from that

I agree it'd be nice to see Kumazaki. I think he's a figurehead worthy of reading kirby and he's a nice influence of the series. I mean it seems like every time we hear about TFL kirbys found himself in a new meme and people are really positive about it. I think it's unfair to Kymazaki to nit at least give him or hal that credit.

The boss theme from Live A Live is Megalomania which was Toby Fox's inspiration for Megalovania, so it's not completely random he shows up there.

Other devs have proven that they can easily port their games to Switch with little to no problems. Cloud only versions of the Kingdom Hearts trilogy on Switch proves that Square just isn't trying.

While yes I agree, I'm a little bit concerned on XB 3 as from what it was teased on 2 and now confirmed on the direct. 3 is going to be the universe merge between blades and monado. So having in mind how different both games are lore wise and mechanic wise, this could either go really nice an be incredibly epic or it can flop really bad. I'm both excited and anxious at the same time and I love it! Haven't felt like this in quite a while!

I'm kinda confident from what we've seen though, feels like it's far enough from the previous games that the world has it's own identity while have those familiar pieces in there. Hopefully the story can handle it all well. Gameplay wise is gonna be interesting. Torna did a really good job of streamlining 2's combat, fingers crossed whatever new mechanic they introduce they've learned some lessons from that

I agree it'd be nice to see Kumazaki. I think he's a figurehead worthy of reading kirby and he's a nice influence of the series. I mean it seems like every time we hear about TFL kirbys found himself in a new meme and people are really positive about it. I think it's unfair to Kymazaki to nit at least give him or hal that credit.
