2:10 A straight stream is next to useless at close distances. A tight to medium cone of water applied Properly, could have removed these flames in seconds.
2:08 asking honestly, not giving shit. When you have what looks like an oxygen-deficient fire; why not load the air up with lots of mist, instead of a straight stream?
any comm'l bldg fire you always go with a 2 1/2" 1 3/4 with a combo nozzle as you seen had little to no effect on that heavy body of fire. food for thought ;-) either way good video
Bad choice by the engine company officer to use the 1 3/4” for initial attack. The tactic puts his firefighters life in danger. Heavy Fire needs a lot of water, pretty simple rule of thumb.
Have to love those firewalls; should be mandatory everywhere.
GREAT footage some of the best by far. Those overhangs, forget what they call them, always collapse..
I know I'm late to the party, but y'all should have mentioned the (partial) collapse in the title. More hits that way!

Attack with 1.75, defend with 2.5. Called right, great job, all safe!
Miss you guys!
Man, we they opened that door!!!!Lawd!!!!!! Get some!!!Awesome video and commas fellas!!!!
the wind suck too! \m/
Back when firewalls were still a thing.
Looking like fire started somewhere
I'm gonna be honest I feel like I'm somewhat critical of sbcfd at times, but in this one you guys made a great attack very short timing
Love watching these guys work. That place went up like a match. I probably would've pulled 2 1/2 first. These guys are good nonetheless.
Great job.

Because mist evaporates before it even reaches the fire!
@@ericpl7227 right. But fog is great for cooling.
